Who is your 90s crush?!
I was 13 yrs old and saw the movie wild wild west. Salma Hayek!! Others would come in the 2000's y2k era but. Mid/latte 90's. Salma! 😎👍
Justin Timberlake
Well you guys
TOPANGA!
Good morning! My first 90s crush was Laura Dern in Jurassic Park and then Sandra Bullock in Speed. Loving these podcast! Please keep them coming! You guys are refreshing and inspiring!
How can anyone not love these brothers?!!! Men who are very talented yet grounded in faith and family!!! Rooting for them always!!!
It's funny there's a saying "never meet your heroes" although, I grew up with the Lawrence bros. and now 18 episodes deep, I feel like they are truly stand up men.
@@shawnstewart6148agreed !
Their ex wives and former girlfriends.
The best!❤
@@shawnstewart6148I could not agree more they make me feel like I have good taste lol😂😂
Andy's director skills are so natural. I love that he is self-aware and tries to keep the older bros on track. It's so funny to see his expressions watching them go off multiple tangents into a sing off 😂😂😂😂
I was goin say the same thing 😂😂😂
It’s actually super sweet and funny that the oldest of the 3 brothers has 3 daughters. 💜
Feels very Full House ish
“We’re not gonna be editing Anything out…except your double hair buns”😂😂😂 I just spat my drank out!!!😂😂😂
I don’t think the Lawrence brothers realize the impact all of their movies and shows had on millions of childhoods/adulthoods and family times. It’s a positive core memory for us fans that grew up watching you guys on screen, back when projects were still shot on film. They just don’t make good stuff like they did then, during the 90s golden era of movies and shows. ❤❤❤
Wow… the fact that Matt knows about Senegalese music is crazy. A music lover can appreciate music from any part of the world.
He is dating a black woman lol I'm sure she is getting him hip to the culture
@yogaqueen1527 If you watch some of the prior podcasts, you will see that Matthew and his brothers grew up as fans of diverse artists, and I do think that is something that Matthew and Chilli have in common.
@yogaqueen1527 He was into afro beats and jamaican music before they knew each other from listening to previous pods. They likely connect through their music and health interests though.
@jmm0585 Exactly! Matthew Lawrence grew up in a musically talented family and seems to have listened to a wide variety of music and so I wouldn't be surprised if Chilli and Matthew bonded over music and bonded over eating healthy and Chilli and Matthew have more in common than what meets the eye like Chilli mentioned in a recent interview and they both seem to be happy and in love and in a supportive romantic relationship.
Exactly, I'm a music lover I love Japanese music (city pop), I love music artist from London so much talent in that country, afro beats, and etc.
Joey a great father who has raised his daughters with love and God and great values in their lives I would love that for Matt and Andy too! I just can't believe that they are all grown up.❤
I love that he talks about his faith and God too. Hopefully he never stops sharing his love for God with others.
Amen ❤
17:20 "We're not gonna edit anything out. Except maybe your double hair buns." I DIED.
I love how Joe talks about his faith and God in such a natural way. He is a role model, and I hope he never stops sharing his faith on the podcast.
This is taking me down memory lane. Jonathan Brandis was my 90's crush and I was heartbroken when I heard the news. Like you guys said, the value of your career doesn't determine the value of your person. I still miss him.
I’d love an Mmmbop cover. Can you do an episode where Joey gets a shock every time he talks over my boy Andy!
😂😂😂😂😂
or any of them when they talk over each other. o.m.g.
Thank you SO MUCH for this episode- the segment on parenting was exactly what I needed to hear. I foster-to-adopted two teenagers and every single day I battle with “ not being their friend” because they have lived so long without structure- and I have to instill those values that they never learned and this makes me a “bummer mom.” 😂
With my son (8) we are extremely close. I am his best friend now because he is so young and I won’t get this time back, want to savor being this close until he hits preteens . Already know what’s coming 😂
One of my favorite episodes of Brotherly Love was when Nell Carter was on there. And Joe and Nell sang that beautiful song while she was holding Andy. Still bring tears in my eyes
I cried. ...ps. I just watched it last week ❤
Speak truth! I am eagerly anticipating the day when they mention Nell.
Which episode was that? I thought I watched them all but I didn't see that one ! ❤
I watched it a couple months ago on RUclips. That was one of my fav parts. That along with Nell talking to Joey in the Kitchen with him asking her to let him be there for her like she was for him. And the scenes where she’s on stage asking Matt to come on stage and she’s like, “C’mon Matthew…..I’m Alive!!!!”
I know right, beautiful episode. Even on Gimmie A Break I loved when they sang.
You guys!No one is as good looking and talented at the same time as you three! And your vibe is always super positive! 🎶 ♥️
😏Thanks for joining us!
I actually wake up, just to watch y’all podcast. Love y’all so much, can’t get enough of y’all show. I could watch y’all everyday!!! ❤❤❤
❤❤
When Joey said Reading Rainbow I was really hoping they’d all start singing it lol
Best theme song
Agree
Andy’s hair is great, love that Joey said that “there’s room for everyone,” and Matt always has a nice perspective.
Very refreshing outlook, on FAITH and FAMILY- Goals, accountability, responsibility-keep spreading the word- we need more like YOU!
I also have two daughters, 17 and 13. I love to hear how involved you are with them! It's tough now, but so worth it to see them grow in their faith as well as become functioning members of society. Love you guys!
They will come back around as they get older. History repeats itself, the one thing that will get me through when my son goes through this phase is sitting back and thinking “wait I was like this with my parents too.” 😂😂😂
"you know what we're gonna be editing out? Your double space buns" - Joey 😆🤣
Let me just add the way Matt melts when hearing about his nieces. He knows! He was there half the time ❤ love this family they’re so down to earth and I feel that it really is genuine.
Oh my goodness!!! I am CRACKING UP with these guys!! I swear … Joe and Matt talk and go off on music like me and my sister do .. melodies .. beats .. harmonies and all .. even how they get excited about old songs … the way they crack on eachother .. just like our family. Love it!!! So glad this pod exists!!!
My 90s crush was Jonathan Taylor Thomas. I wrote to his fan club, watched Home Improvement, and his movies.
The 90's literally were my highschool and college years. So many great concerts! I saw Reba, New Kids, Bon Jovi, Sheryl Crow, The Beach Boys, Bob Dylan, Eagle Eye Cherry, Hootie and the Blowfish, Smashing Pumpkins, Better Than Ezra...so many more that I wish I had seen. Also, I loved camping out for tickets, an obsolete experience nowadays.
Father's often get a bad wrap. It's nice to see your family's generational wisdom & legacy continuing through Joey. Sowing and reaping destiny, hope and belonging into your kids. It's inspiring.
How stinkin cute are Andy’s piggies?! 😊
I love how Matt gave Joe props for how he handled his fame. I often wondered why Matt hadn’t been on more things , his potential coupled with his talent and looks, he had /has it, it’s pretty mature to understand at an early age that you aren’t mentally capable of being the “mega star” , I appreciate him including that , I’m sure that’s a difficult decision to come to.
Another great episode!!!
Hearing Matt talk about Jonathan Brandeis was spine tingling. I honestly feel like Jonathan had no oneand his career was everything. When he started getting rejections ,the poor kid couldnt cope. It was so sad. 😢
I think that Jonathan Brandis didn't fully realize that many actors go through ups and downs and that he was talented. I know that he had caring parents and friends who cared too. If you watch "Kid 90" you will see a lot of famous actors and actresses from the 90s, including Jonathan Brandis.
@@amusicfan25a21 I saw " Kid 90" . It was really good.
Bravo Gentlemen for instilling faith and good principles in your girls, as father and uncles. That is invaluable! I was just reading that verse of “train up a child in the way he should go and when he is old he will not depart from it” during my devotionals this morning. Really enjoying your podcasts and hearing what you’re up to. Hugs and blessings to you all! ❤
What does faith have to do with good principles. Do you know how many horrible religious people there are?
We need more Andy’s in the world. I never seen a guy wear a headband like he does. Let alone it around his neck. It took me like 10 episodes to figure out what was around his neck. Haha 😆 the hair is amazing!
Joe is right, your voices are so beautiful together! I’m with Joe I love the 80s & 90s music. ❤
Wow! I totally love the stories about Joey’s daughters!
Listening to the podcast then watching it has become my Friday routine & I love it. Love that this episode is all about the music, so happy there is going to be more!! Can’t wait to hear Stay With Me & everything else to come ☺️
That sounds like a great start to your Friday 😎
@@BrotherlyLovePoddefinitely is, always start Fridays with a smile ☺️
I would love some more episodes of 🎶
Speaking of Brendan Fraiser...another 90's crush. Andy could totally pull off being his family members in a movie. There are some similarities. I think it is the eyes and jaw structure. Hmmm maybe this should happen.
Honestly - my mother !!! Love her so much!!! I went from “you don’t understand me” to “I appreciate you”
“It’s a podcast, bro” Andy is too hilarious😆❤
When I was a kid I use to own Joey’s first album on cassette tape!!! It was SO heartwarming to hear the story of his daughter love their new song. 🥹💖🍓🙌
I respect you for showing your kids to pray 👏
I could see Jonathan Brandis and Matthew up for the same rules. I hate that Jonathan took his life. He was a good actor.
But my favorite music eras were the 80’s and 90’s. I think you guys should do ballads, with a touch of soul. Maybe some acoustic music.
Love you guys. This podcast is always the highlight of my morning. Also Matt you sound like such an angel at 16:45 singing Stevie wonder 😍😍😍
Joey talking about telling his teenage daughters to clean their room & them saying “I know, I know” it must be a universal thing, cause my daughter is the same way lol! She gets so mad 😂
I love the stories of Joeys kids so relatable
Andy cracks me up checking them on the podcast etiquette repeatedly. “Perform covers for 15 minutes” and “Matt you’re standing up! There’s a mic here!” 😂
We love Fridays 🤓❤
Us too 😎
Aww wow! Came here from chilli’s Instagram and you guys’s podcast is so fun and positive! I love your sense of humor and acknowledgment of God Almighty 🙌🏽 this is fantastic! Definitely sticking around for the next episodes ❤
Its not just Friday.
Its Lawerence Brother FRIDAY! 🎉 thanks for another great episode. My anxiety has been high and yall always give me a laugh.
That's what we're here for ❤😎
When I heard Joey and Matt sing, it instantly made me download the original. I loved it! Sweet.🎉
Matt gave me a push I didn’t know I needed , these dudes are on to something 🙏
I usually find Joey so annoying but there’s something super endearing about making your kids say their prayers in today’s world. Super wholesome and sweet especially in that industry.
Joey is annoying. He says he's 41 when he is 47. It puts Matthew on the spot and he has to lie to make himself younger too. Matthew is 43.
@@Mamamary1 interpreted that part as Joey saying he has 41 years in the industry because he was 6 when he appeared on the Johnny Carson show.
@@Mamamary1he was talking about how long he’s been in the business
I’m so happy you guys made this Podcast, I’m always looking forward to your new episode each week, they put a smile on my face and I always learn something. Also it’s made me realize how amazing, kind and profound you all are, not just the TV stars I grew up with, but more ❤!
I love that your dad showed you how to appreciate the good music. Luda is actually coming to my small city. Im so excited. That's an artist that even my grown kids can appreciate.
I love yacht rock! And all the artists you named (i was a 70s/80s/90s kid/teen).
For MUSIC that the Lawrence Brothers should since - I think some of the Rat Pack and some Mowtown would be awesome.
Can't wait to hear!
This episode was great! I love hearing y’all talk about music and music from growing up! I’ve asked before and I’m asking again. We need a Lawrence brothers Spotify playlist! Music you love now and music you loved growing up!
Andrew is a man of few words.. but when he does speak.. the bestest. 💖
Watch Andy at 23:53!!!!! 😂😂😂 I laughed out loud, poor guy... just trying to put in his two cents!!!!! 🤣🤣🤣🤣These guys remind me of my sisters & I... these dudes are teaching me that I need to really listen more & not dominate the convo... so these brothers are teaching me to be a better older sister! 🥰😇🤪
I had Joey's CD in the 90's. I memorized all the songs. Just loved them. Very excited about the new music
Love this podcast. I am a late 70's baby and 80's kiddo, so I grew up watching all of you in the various movies and TV shows. Loved all of you back then too. I also can relate to alot of the topics you discuss and your views/ values are very refreshing. I really appreciated the discussion about music. I love a variety of music as well, but especially love the 80's. I am hooked on 80's on 8 SXM. I love all the artist you were discussing. So much talent. One of the first songs I ever remember really loving as a kiddo is "We Are The World." That song had all the greats singing. Love it! Still is very moving to me emotionally today. Used to listen to Top 40 every weekend and make my mixed tapes...LOL. For me now, listening to the 80's helps take me back to easier times and I find comfort and familiarity while navigating this uncertain world today. You guys are all great. Love this pod cast.❤
Loved all of you since the beginning! I have no kids but i have nieces and nephews ranging from ages 3 - 18 and i can still relate to Joey’s stories about his daughters!! My bff and I had posters of Joey on our wall during the Blossom years and his Nothing my love can’t fix days!!
Seriously, does it even get any better than these guys? So down to earth and talented. I look forward to a new podcast every week. They make me happy with nostalgia. You guys rock!! ❤❤❤❤❤
This pod started a day before my birthday and it has been the greatest gift. The best part is its like I get a new present EVERY friday. 😂❤️ Love you guys!
This episode was everything!!!! I probably say that about most episodes but no seriously! Their knowledge of music and the depth of it, makes you love them even more. The singing OMGGG🤌🏽🥵❤️🔥 Don't ask me how many times I rewound those parts cuz babyyyyy..... Andy is pure comedy
So excited! You could have a pretty kick ass National tour with the podcast and a musical performance. We would show up for that 💯❤ keep singing!
Okay , Andy cracks me up with his facial expressions when Joey and Matt were singing that’s what friends are for lmao 🤣 each week you guys crack me up and just warm my heart! Been going through a rough time and I look forward to your podcast each week and love watching your Instagram stories etc posts you post about too
OMG it's so refreshing to hear you guys talk about those days we are the same age and you are speaking of music at a time that I embrace and loved and treasured, you all know your MUSIC 🎶 and ya still got it, the youth today will never know or understand the magic but the music from the 80's was like they will never understand that magic ✨ that Mike had on us as kids they will never know what it was like to watch an award show and be holding your breath cuz you was waiting for your favorite entertainer to perform... I'm glad I had the chance to experience it🫶🏾
I love watching the podcast on RUclips. You guys are so funny. Rest in peace Jonathan 🙏🏻
The second CD I ever owned was the Joey Lawrence album. The first is still my go-to for most moods, Queen.
I relate to Andy so hard 😂 Having passionate talkative brothers makes you a quiet watcher 😂 I think he's awesome for getting a word in once in a while. And when his brothers jab at him....I have had that with my brothers 😂
You guys are very entertaining. Im loving these podcasts. And your so right, you are never over. All 3 of you are not only talented but extremely intelligent.
Very underestimated brothers.... So wise, super smart, respectful, so glad I found them... I really missed them so much!
Thank you for NOT editing out your little musical bits! I LOVE all your renditions of old songs!!! You sound incredible together! Can't wait to hear your new song and more music from you guys!❤❤❤😊
Perfect - Joe you’ve given and continue giving your daughters dad love, your creating a foundation that daughters need...love you brothers ❤️...every episode gets better...you guys got this...the best is yet to come 💯‼️
Ngl, I had no idea you guys could sing like that. Gave me the goosebumps! THIS IS FOR SURE WHAT YALL NEED TO BE DOING! (sorry, got excited!)
My 90's crushes were, of course, Joey Lawrence and Matthew Lawrence...lol. Leonardo DiCaprio, River Phoenix (RIP), Jonathan Brandis (RIP) and a couple of others. Now my 10 and 12 year old have crushes on young Joey, and many RUclipsrs.
OMGOODNESS I was so brokenhearted when Jon Brandis killed himself even now I'm like "if you just would've WAITED Jonathan your time could've been NOW" I'm 43 he's just like 3 years older he would've still been young enough to start over but it's sad that we will never know! I loved him and had the biggest crush on him in case it wasn't obvious 😂😂
@@latricecarter5924 I remember my friend and I begged her parents to take us to go see Ladybugs
Always a great start to my Friday with the Lawrence bros! ❤
Im new to the podcast but listening to you guys sing has been the highlight b/c I just didn't know you guys had these kind of vocals. It made me interested in other things you might have done so I looked Andy up on RUclips and he has a great song called “I cant stop” I’ve added it to my playlist. Then I was on Tubi and I watched this really cute movie with Joe and his wife. At the end he's singing “The very thought of you”at least I think its him b/c its not in the credits. But if I was him I was thinking WOW this is better than Michael Bublé’ s version. I'd LOVE it if Joe put out a solo album of standards like that. His covers of the classics. 🥰
As far as with ALL you guys I’d like a modern Christmas album like Sia, kaskade ,Leslie Odom Jr. or Pentatonix. Heres some 90’s triva for Joe and Matt - Do you remember a group called A few good men? They put out an entire album that went NOWHERE yet there rendition on Silver Bells can be heard EVERYWHERE at Christmas. About :40sec in one of the guys hits an amazing high note kinda out of nowhere. Can ANY of you guys that? I’d love to hear you try on the next podcast. 🥳🔥
The Lawrence Bros and other performers from the 80's and 90's are probably the last type of performers who understood, if you wanted to make it in Hollywood you needed to : Sing, Dance and ACT. And the rant about music..felt that. AND Joey mentions Michael MacDonald, I'm like THANK YOU. Does anyone remember Gino Vanelli ?And Andy, 'White Man's Burden' was an amazing movie.
I loved Matt's excitement when they were talking about music.
Can’t get enough of this podcast. So down to earth and such positive influences in the world. ❤family first
I've got two boys aged 18 and 19 and it's so true about going from being their hero to their enemy lol. I always tell them my job is to be their mum, not their friend. Luckily I'm now at the stage I'm getting more of the fun moments where they want to hang out with us again back as they get older. Give me a newborn over a teen any day 😂😂😂
Great episode. I look forward to this pod every friday!!
I love that you brought up Casey! I used to listen to the top 40 all the time in the 90s and also my parents thankfully had all the best albums like Stevie. Definitely miss the days before auto tune and when songs weren't like 3min or less club songs. I agree there is so much good music out there being ignored. Christine and The Queens is my favorite right now.
I’m really loving and looking forward to this podcast every Friday
Love watching you! You were part of my childhood and it brings back all the happy childhood memories. Also thank you for being open about your faith, it’s a rare occurrence nowadays. ❤️🙏🏻
I was making my bed AS Matt is talking about it - totally agree about doing that! :)
Seriously y’all’s Dad needs to be a vocal coach….due to all that auto tuning so many artists hide behind…he would definitely be considered one of the great vocal coaches
You guys are a breath of fresh air ☺️
I’m also so thankful 🥲 I grew up in the 80s because that era is timeless
I like Joey am a parent to teenage girls and they have been able to listen 🎧 to my favs in music and movies 🎥
This generation is blessed to have people like us show them what our lives were like back then 😌
Gracias 🙏
So incredibly impressed. I had the BIGGEST crush on Matthew when I was 10 yrs old, haha... I just can't believe how intuitive and grounded they all are. Deep convictions and not afraid to share it. Extremely rare qualities and I adore them all!
Non stop laughing and relatable life stories. I real love y’all!
ALWAYS ENJOY YOUR POD POD! I could totally sit down with yall and chat.❤
Ah, the Lawrence brothers are in my YT feed. Long time no see. It's nice to see that one of you stayed cute, one of you stayed handsome, & the other stayed hot as hell.
I live for this podcast, I need these more than one day a week! ❤
I enjoy the pod so much. Only complaint is I wish they were longer and more often.
Awesome episode guys 🤩. 80’s & 90’s are my favorite decade of music. My childhood.
It’s so funny how all these actors and singers that we love their kids don’t ever think they’re as cool as us fans in most cases… these guys can sing and their music is awesome !! I love the Lawrence brothers singing we need them in music today so bad they are some for the best!! I love their talent in music and acting my favorite brothers!!🎉🎉& I love how they speak in God & praying and how they balanced they are in their careers and faith most of Hollywood is not like these outstanding guys!!🎉🎉
31:11 I audibly laughed! 😂 Never change Andy!
I'm glad I found this channel. I grew up watching GIMME A BREAK, then BLOSSOM, and then BMW.
Another great episode. My favorite era of music is the 80’s. All time favorite artist: Air Supply. Favorite songs: All Out of Love & Making Love Out of Nothing At All
I love how Matt is down with the swirl lol
As a kid who is your age who grew up in the valley I feel so at home joining your convos. And I looooooove the guests! ❤
Just started watching brotherly love tv series ❤ing it!! I want to hear you sing the theme song! I find myself singing it throughout the day
I def had many crushes, including Sarah Michelle Gellar and the Lawrence brothers. 💙 thanks for making another work Friday great with the podcast!
Thanks for joining us ❤
