This made me miss my very best friend of over 30 years who passed away this last April. She was everything they talked about to me. Even though we weren't close geographically we were never very far from our hearts. Life just isn't going to be the same without her. Hug your friends and tell them you love them! ❤️

Ive been listening to podcasts for a very long time and think this might be one of the best singular episodes from any show I've listened to in a while. The warmth, and brotherly dynamic between the best friends and brother is so near and dear to my heart. EVERY episode I listen to makes me realize the bond with my brothers is super similar to how they all interact and operate. I grew up like 40 minutes from the Lawrence brothers and I think I now get why I get such a sense of pride and joy seeing them interact, because most episodes remind me of where I came from in a metaphorical sense and a literal sense. I know a lot of this sounds parasocial but im 35 and have been massive fans of the brothers since Brotherly Love aired so its just nice to see almost 30 years of obtuse feelings get sorta validated by virtue of the similarities
I’m 45 and my best friend and I have been friends for 40 years. We met on the kindergarten bus. She lived down the road from me and here we are. We are a month apart and our youngest kids, mine is a daughter and she has twins a boy and girl are a month apart. We graduated together and they will graduate together. It’s rare and a beautiful friendship. She is more like a sister. And our younger brothers are best friends even though they are 3 yrs apart.
It's so funny how each brother is so much like their corresponding best friend.

The Hawaii conversation brings me back to great family vacations. Our daughter used to call Bubba Gump Bubble Gump. 😂 Also, why didn’t the pineapple work? My dad used to eat all of our pineapple from our cocktails and I was so glad we had more than one bathroom in our condo.

I love this. The brothers and their friends remind me of my brother and our friends. They sort of all become extra siblings and friends with each other too and everything. It’s great. My besties are my brother’s extra sisters and brother and his besties are my extra brothers. It’s pretty awesome.
