I'm pretty sure that Anthony Smith is heavily traumatized from the event and is the main reason he isn't fighting his best anymore. You can see from a few vids that he's easily startled with sudden background sounds. As someone who is traumatized from a violent robbery with a knife I really feel for this guy. You can't overcome psychological damage, no matter how trained you are.
Can confirm, I was there. I'm not an alien, but they also didn't abduct me. I just happened to wander there and next thing I know, I'm watching from the corner of the spacecraft, GSP resisting a probe. I truly seen some shit, most of it on accident. I just, wander places.....

I really feel bad for Anthony smith, you can clearly tell the home invasion was a lot for him mentally and that it still weighs a lot on him to this day.
He beat the piss out the dude. And had him mounted for like half an hour waiting for cops to arrive. Dude was covered in blood and they scuffled in the room ending up under the desk almost. That kind of intense pandemonium would probably stick with you deep
"No normal human is able to fight like that," Smith said. "I'm by no means the baddest dude on the planet. But he's a regular Joe and I had a hard time dealing with him. And he took everything that I gave him -- every punch, every knee, every elbow. He took every single one of them and kept fighting me." "You always just think you're such a badass," Smith said. It kinda makes sense when you think about it that an mma fighter would beat a Special Forces operator. The special forces guys train all the time but they train to be good at everything from shooting and communication to medical care and technology. The mma guys just train at fighting.
@@justinburgan4184 Meh, Tim Kennedy was SOF turned fighter. He was good but it isn't like they can just be the best even if they focused only on fighting. They are all just people too.
I’m surprised that the one with Michael Bisping running outside in the snow NAKED hoping fences and screaming while his relatives were over didn’t make it. He told this story on the JRE and said it was a night terror

So glad you included the “get in the hole” story from chael. absolutely unhinged and frankly chilling especially because it’s been proven to be a real thing and the parties involved have been identified wild stuff.
Mike bisping told a story of his house being broken into by a litteral axe murderer in his autobiography, that shit me tf up (it was back when he was early in his career if not pre-pro fighter ) and living on his own

I’ve been watching MMA On Point videos for some 4 years and not felt the need to comment… I am, however, angry that Cerrone’s story about almost dying in a cave is not on this list, let alone number one. Sure, it’s not as cool as those involving other fighters, but, it is the most riveting, suspenseful, and intense shit I’ve heard in years.
Silva seems so gentle and humble and almost naive innocence to him. Seems very wholesome and nice, its hsrd to believe that situation with his "boomstick". Lol
I think the funniest has to be about John danaher's first ever black belt, Boris. Basically, the guy comes in as a fresh white belt, and is super competitive, trains really hard, for YEARS- but Boris tells John "I'm gonna retire when I'm 40", so, cut to years later, he's got his black belt, he's 39, and he looks over at John and sayd "I'm turning 40 tomorrow, it's my last day today", but John, being the kind of coach to see the potential in his students, chalks it up as a joke and says he's looking forward to seeing him soon on the mats. Man meant it. He stopped when he was 4p and I guess he never trained since.

Great video! I read both Hughes’ and Griffin’s books as a teenager and they were awesome! Very interesting tales, the one from Griffin’s that always stuck with me is when a random dude in a bar challenged him to a fight and so they met in the bathroom and Forrest KOed him 😂 not surprised at all that Thug Nasty slept that deer though lol
Great list! Never heard some of these but surprised Donald Cerrone’s story of his near death experience while diving in an underwater cave wasn’t listed.
