    I’m looking at a 6.4 compound turbo kit to put on my 7.3 so I came to RUclips to see how it sounds and works and I kinda want to order it right now 😂

      Ultra diesel performance (formerly Vavrina Fabrication) makes 7.3 compound kits

      Be careful they can only hold 40psi of boost before blowing the head gaskets. If ur doing more boost & pushing 30s u need to stud the motor.

    Super cool truck. Love to see more about the build, how you've got everything under the hood. Out of curiosity, who did the tuning for the setup?

    stock bottom end? what’s the setup?

  • @makeitbreakit7556

    So what are all the issues you are trying to get sorted? You said your blowing boots and it’s cutting out on you? If you could give me a little more information maybe I could help you get it figured out. As far as boots go I would try and build a set of boost braces like Vibrants vib12648. I’m about to have my compounds on the road. I would have had mine on the road 6 months ago if full force diesel didn’t send me the wrong Hpop. Mine is a s488 atmospheric and a KC 38r for the high pressure. What all is done to your long block? I have studs, 910s, 7/16 push rods, and some minor port work done to the heads but that’s all. I’m hoping my stock bottom end will hold up to 600-700hp.

    • @vesperly338
      @vesperly338 2 года назад

      I know this is 8 months later and you probably found this out by now but your stock bottom end will not handle 600+ you will need all forged internals also upgrade your push rods and valve springs to beehives and you will need to install fire rings and the e40d or 4r110 trans do not handle power at all and break in a couple pulls so you need to get a built trans that can handle then power you want

    • @makeitbreakit7556
      @makeitbreakit7556 2 года назад

      @@vesperly338 Well aware. Stock bottomed will handle the power for a while. But I haven’t been afforded the chance to test that as I’ve got a cracked timing cover that’s causing my Lpop to lose prime. Takes 10-15 seconds of cranking no matter what to start the truck so I’ve been saving to go through the motor (To replace timing cover motor has to come out). I have a ZF5 manual for a transmission in my truck which is arguably harder to keep together than a 4r100. I have a friend named Russel that has went through 6 input shafts on his ZF5 truck at 580 hp

      @@makeitbreakit7556 I checked it out that thing will be a beast once it’s all done and sorted out I completely forgot to mention too depending on the year of your truck you will either pmr rods or forged if you have forged your good for all that power unfortunately I have pmr rods I had to completely build my whole bottom end and have you thought about doing a zf6 swap they handle power pretty well if don’t like automatics

    • @makeitbreakit7556
      @makeitbreakit7556 2 года назад

      @@vesperly338 I have thought about a ZF6 which has a much more substantial input shaft.
      My truck does have forged rods and I could probably get by with them.
      A friend of mine offered me a school bus with the t444e in it that just might have an Allison 2000 bolted to it. If it does I think I will give up my manual. My thoughts with that engine is I could build it over time rather than my engine. For now I’m just going to rebuild my current engine stock and hope to never window the block.

      @warrenmcelroy4718 2 года назад

      Hell I can hit 40lbs on my 97 12 valve with the stock turbocharger, other than having the fuel plate in the afc housing ground flush and having it slid all the way forward the engine is 100% stock. It has a wire out 47re trans with a torque converter lockup switch wired in so that helps a lot when trying to make boost. It’s gotten to where the torque converter slips too much to use the extra power down on the low end but I can still hit 40psi on the top end
