I would buy this right now IF a membership was INCLUDED for the first 12 months. The fact that this thing is expensive already, and then they’re requiring an additional 12-24 months of the monthly membership paid up front nearly doubles the price. That’s INSANE to me.

Been working out for 30 years. Truly one of the most advanced pieces of equipment I have ever used. Convenient. Versatile. Challenging. So many different programs and exercises at the touch of a button. No need to remember weights and reps. Got this back in October. Work out with wife or kids without changing weights! Built in music. My PR on bench is 350lbs, and I am no where near maxing out on these workouts. It is idiotic to make negative comments about the Tonal without trying it. Amazing, and will be a game changer for home workouts.

Assembly by myself was not too hard. I took my time and followed the diagrams. I particularly like the pictures and names of the exercises organized by muscle groups on the front of the ruclips.net/user/postUgkxKJHyBZ9I1py9vVi-XLpEBg0y-qmdhn3q . Considering the number of exercises it has a relatively small footprint. I needed a machine that was not too tall because I only have 79" headroom in my cabin and this was just over 78". It is easy to use, seems to be well made, and I am pleased with my purchase. I am doing upper body muscles on Monday and Thursday. Lower body exercises are being done on Tuesday and Friday. Not using it on Wednesday, Saturday, and Sunday. I am a reasonably fit 66 year old man and this is a great workout.

Bought this a few months ago. Surprisingly the weight system is almost identical to lifting physical weights and has been challenging so far. The calibration and multiple profiles are great features along with being able to workout with a partner and have it automatically adjust the weight to match each specific person's goals during all your workouts. The music playlists that come with it are also on point and always updated (built in speakers are amazing). Well worth the money in my opinion.

The most intelligent fitness setup can be a smart human being having some deep knowledge of human anatomy and proper biomechanics...
    Nothing else is needed.
I really find it funny when people give excuses like lack of time/money/equipment and blah blah
During my student life in hostel days or in my master's day while I was busy with my research or now in my working life no matter what it is I always find a way to work out and keep myself in shape and fitness..and I've been in setups from supremely well equipped gym to below average gym to "no gym" to few therabands setups..
And based on my line of study and work what can I tell you is you can do it no matter what.. just know anatomy, mechanics and practical implications of those that's it ..
Fitness is not an adjunct..it's a lifestyle..embrace it!
    Best wishes..have a nice day

The Luddite in me wants to not like this machine, but wow, such integration. I wonder what all the ancillary costs are associated with this machine? Are their monthly fees to access specific workout packages or does everything come at once. I'd imagine there's a pretty robust backend offering (read monthly membership) that completes this concept.

There's a place for this. Us oldies who don't want gains, don't have an extra room to turn into a workout room, but want to stay in basic shape while we raise our kids, exercise our dogs, cook, clean, and work 50-60 hrs a week. I don't have time to hit the gym but could use this after the wife and kids are in bed. The deal killer for me is $50 a month. While we could easily afford it, it's borderline irresponsible. Then again if you have to put a price on health, $50 a month isn't bad. Plus the video has Ed Norton voice over! How much is that worth?
