I hope tesla is lvl 3 autonomous but for regulations reasons does not pursue the actual license/certificate. Province of BC in Canada banned level 3,4,5 autonomous vehicles so tesla still allowed for now. Lol
I am still having about 1 disengagement per 2 city miles on 12.5.2. Either wrong lanes, timid lane changes that make it miss turns, going either 30 or 50 in a 35mph, both are bad, Nothing dangerous though. Its still great with supervision but I wonder if we need 13.x or 14.x before that can be turned off if ever. I think ASS is different bc they have to be able to trust it 100% and you can only get that with some hard coding. I think AI models are unable to achieve that currently, there is always some unpredictability and they cannot afford that without anyone in the driver seat.
I mean, when are we getting level 5 FSD+Banish+Actually Smart Summon unsupervised is the question, there’s about 3 weeks to go until 10/10 robotaxi. If they’re just going to unveil a new robotaxi car and not a breakthrough fix in the AI software so we get level4/level 5 autonomy, that would suck, specially for HW4 vehicles.
You can force it to go right by doing a hard press on turn signal right after you engage FSD. I have to do this to leave my driveway or it will turn towards my fence and get stuck.
It slowed the video around the 40:15 mark where it slowed from 6 to 2 mph. It did that ‘slow for no reason’ when it passed directly behind the black Tesla that was parked. I wonder if there is such a thing as fleet communication or signal entanglement? Edit for typo
Another idea for a video: buy or make a full-sized car model that you can hit without damaging your car. Maybe a blow up?? Might not be practical, but you could do some fun and informative testing. Will it brake when it says "cruise control will not brake"? No other Tesla youtubers have done this that I've seen.
Dude forget ASS I’ve been on 12.3.6 for months, just give me anything newer. At this point I’d take 12.4, hell id take a downgrade in just dying to see the update button. I just need the change
I ju8st received ASS and experienced the same glitches on kmy new Model 3 Highland you have. The weirdest was it stopped in the middle of a drive in a parking lot. The app said that the car was unable to continue on a public street. My 2020 Model was able to make this same test perfectly. Weird.
didnt a slew of smart summon & self park videos come out months ago. This is just a rehash of those videos that came out when the trial period came out.
I agree with them messing up the app for ASS. I was using old summon two weeks ago in an empty parking lot and having used it reliably before I trusted it and didn’t pay close attention while using it. There was an suv parked next to my model 3 when I pressed come to me and it started turning into the suv and scratched and dented my back passenger door :/ had to file an insurance claim.
@@genelane2243 hehe, I actually commented on that use case in the video at the end. Yes, it’s nice to use when it’s raining, but only when it works perfectly. Based on its track record, it will stop midway about 10% of the time due to connectivity issues, getting too close to curbs, or due to unknown errors. This isn’t reliable enough. It’s enough of a hassle to run out to your car when it’s raining, but it’s even worse when you have to run out to rescue it while embarrassing yourself with other cars trying to get past yours. To make it even worse, parking lots are very dangerous and many cars are not expecting your car to stop suddenly for no reason! There is a good chance another car could rear end your car while it is moving 6mph or slower and then stops suddenly. I have used it several times where somebody is tailgating like crazy because the car is moving too slowly. 😫
@@genelane2243 just to follow up on that, and not to be overly negative, I’m confident that it will be able to improve in the future. I think Tesla spent a lot of time trying to make it as safe as possible. This delay further proves how passionate they are about getting it right before releasing it wide.
I would love to have the automatic shift on my 2021 Model 3. I wonder if it's possible to add through a software update or if there are hardware limitations?
I need to buy a Tesla to get ass
Each time the car was slowing down in smart summon the app would show "Reducing speed due to poor connectivity" so I guess this answers it?
@@sl1nk3 Yes, indeed.
Thanks for the honest evaluation. I can wait for ASS. Let’s get to level 3 autonomy first.
