- X2 is the original 4th dimension coaster. Designed by Alan Schilke and built by Arrow Dynamics, this massive coaster features seats that can invert. This ambitious ride is one of the most intense coasters in the world, but it's exorbitant price tag bankrupted Arrow. At least Arrow went out with a bang! This video includes footage from within the park and along Magic Mountain Parkway.
You can hear those classic arrow anti rollbacks from anywhere, arguably the best sound other than the brakes on a bad coaster

The sound is iconic.
This ride freakin' rules. It's not my overall number one coaster but it is really something else. This is the coaster that Magic Mountain used as its thesis statement when they started branding themselves as "The Thrill Park."
Few coasters have as intimidating a presence as X2. This is the one coaster that Six Flags can hold over Cedar Fair's head because Cedar Fair doesn't have anything to answer it. While I personally like Steel Vengeance more in terms of the overall ride experience, Steel Vengeance isn't as insane or unique as X2. I'm super intrigued by Eejanaika. I know you've said it's rougher than X2 but I frequently hear the opposite from others. But in any case, the drop on X2 is absolutely psychotic so I really want to experience Eejanaika.
The intensity and uniqueness make it so memorable.

It was running so well this year, the head pads eliminated the head banging for me entirely

What happened with the ride as X, why did they modify the ride in 2008 as X2?
New paint, on-board audio, and new trains. Part of it was to improve reliability.

It's quite bouncy, especially on the wings.
Back of your legs will hit the bottom of the seat if you let them swing on the first drop but overall its fun. Just hold on and yell lol.
If I ask you, Canobie Coaster, why do you prefer the inside seat to the outside seat and the back row to the front row?
The inside seats are far less bouncy.
