Hi! I have a stupid question. As an Uber/Lyft driver, I am looking for good, affordable DUAL dash cam that can also record inside the car at the same time. This looks like a good camera. Since it already comes with the GPS, would you recommend this camera over the Vantrue N2 Pro that you also reviewed? And, lastly, is there a different camera that you this is better than either of these? Thanks!!
I've had this dashcam for about two years now, and it has consistently failed to record important events - often frustratingly happening to record immediately before and after. Just this morning I witnessed a car chase while waiting for another rideshare rider to pop up in my queue. upon returning home, the only footage was of the previous ride, and immediately after when I moved and parked elsewhere. Not every missed moment was while parked - the dashcam failed to record an instance where an eagle flew out in front of my car and coasted ahead of me for roughly 10 seconds. I would've assumed that when the sd card is full it would delete the oldest footage - but that doesn't necessarily seem to be the case. This thing is spotty at best, and has let me down multiple times.
How long does the data recorded stay on memory card, I understand it delete automatically after 7days.I have the dashcam incidence happened i could not find the footage within 4days of the incidence. kindly advice.
How is the night vision with basically pitch black? Like if you road tripping throw highway or a really dark street? Could you still see the interior or the car well?
Is the display screen always on when it's recording, or can it be turned off? I don't want my passengers to see themselves on the screen and feel uncomfortable.
yes, when you are in a taxi, uber, lyft it's considered public space, therefore the video/pictures can be posted anywhere without your explicit permission

That is pretty feakin' sweet man, I totally wish I had a reason to get that! ;) That's funny that the drivers come on a disc and not on the SD card that's included in the box, that would have made a bit more sense to me. I think I might have a CD drive in the garage though.. haha
This camera doesn't keep recording. It on 3 minutes or 5 minutes recording then it turn off . I had some problem with customer but there wasn't full record . .
@@RedskullPro I know the screen saver. Problem is loop recording. It make max 5 minute then it stop then back start recording after some minutes for next loop .

Ive been using this for about 3 days nights now. I just wish it had a playback feature since it dosent have WIFI or Bluetooth upload and shuts off when you turn car off, so no internal battery so theres no 30 second shut off delay like some others. Otherwise the vedio quality is good enough for what the camera is intended for, and the NV inside the cabin works great actually. I can understand not having WiFi or bluetooth, or even no parked shut off delay, but not having a playback feature was odd. Its still new released late 2018, and apparently the manufacturer is looking at releasing an updated version with playback and wifi etc. I do like the camera, but if you want to be able to playback video on the device on scene in a case of officer encounters, to prove you had your seat belt on, or that you didn't run a light, or that you stopped at a stop sign, or didnt break LAX airport rules while picking up a passenger etc etc you get the idea, better to consider something with at least playback feature as it could save you from getting a citation.
Its not even a question of what passengers like or dont like. Today its pretty much the norm that Uber & Lyft drivers have cams, and passengers need for the service to get to where they need to go will always take precedence over their desire to not be in a car with a dash cam.

5 mins is the longest. We set it as clips because it is loop recording. When the memory card is full, the oldest file will be automatically overwritten to make space for new recording. Of course the locked files won't be overwritten.

buy a cheap lightning port sd card adapter... take out the sd card...plug it in your phone and copy them

You cannot. You can potentially zoom in if you edit a video file

No, this one cannot be controlled from a smartphone.

I get the idea but in some cases passengers hate being recorded and will try to argue for their privacy if you have cameras pointed to the cabin...
My dad drives a cab and there are 2 cameras recording the interior of his car at all times...if the passengers don't like it they can walk

Take the sd card out and see the footage on the phone or computer if you don't want to use the camera's screen
