Great review. May I ask what settings you used to get such clear interior footage? Also I am only getting about 2 hours out of a 32GB card, is that normal? Cheers.
Redskull Hi! I just buy one of this camera it’s a good camera but I have only one probleme with, i’m in right but in the camera I so my in left. How can I change that please?
Very well done. Professional even. I've been a Rideshare driver for years, and never had a camera. But with recent incidents involving customers/drivers I feel the need to use one going forward. I like that the camera records both forward and rear, and it seems "relatively" easy to use. Thank you for your great work.
I own this camera for 2 years driving TAXI and its vary good, people who says otherwise probably got them selfs FAKE one like I had very first time I tried to purchase this from Argos. Also it takes up to 128GB mini usb and not 64 as says in video.
Excellent review and objective verdict even if the night time recording makes you look a bit like scary. A bit expensive if you don't need the dual camera setup, but very good if you need it! Could be super fun for a roadtrip timelapse!
Redskull - great video as always. Does the IR go on automatically at night when it is powered up via the cigarette adaptor or does one have to toggle the power button to have IR go on?
Overall a very good review/demonstration of this N2 Pro. The twin camera is clearly a great option and I agree that it would be good for such as Taxi service. However, I really was not that impressed with the front camera details. In fact, I think the front camera is poor. All along I was trying to read licence plates and street signage and it was all blurry/fuzzy. Not much good if you have another driver hit you or cut you off and you cannot even identify them! You did a fine review and nice to see area's of Kitchener that I can relate to. Cheers
I agree the front camera is not the best BUT if the camera can not pick up the licence plate and you can read it yell the tag # out. The audio will pick it up and you can followup from there. Make sure your audio is turned on also. Now take on the day.......
Blessings!I purchased this camera based on Your review and it does not have GPS it has time stamp speed and date stamps. The rear camera has never worked because it is not an option as of April 8, 2018! Shame on Vantrue N2 Pro. It records in the car but it does not record rear view drivers!
you need to change the resolution to 1080p dual and than the second camera will record. If you want the gps unit you have to buy the additional GPS mount for it
Great review as always my friend, but I wonder, fur that price could be an option to buy two cameras instead of this one for maybe the same price even with the memories.
I just repurposed an old smartphone with an app called autoboy. Phone already has gps and can record upto I think 1080p. Though it does not have IR or 24 hour for parking. It does however have a shock sensor so when the car is hit or has a jolt it will go into protected mode so the video and images are saved. I only use it when I am driving so don't really need the 24 hour function. Now if this sent IR data to a phone so you could see animals on the road that would be a major seller to me.
@@RedskullPro before I seen the Canadian flag, I assumed it's in Canada, Ontario, Kitchener / Waterloo area... And definitely you are from Eastern Europe. Am I am wright?! Heheh
if you get a 64GB sd card it will probably be good for a day...didn't check the file size...i know i downloaded 42GB and i have been using this for like 3 days
if you would know anything about any laws, you would know that in order to have an offence you need the exact location, time and the person involved. You don't have any of the 3, therefore there is no evidence.
Redskull JAJAJA you put the front tires on a pedestrian crossing, passing the stop line, evidence is on the video. No matter theres no people you dont have to pass the stop lines.
+Warren Currier thanks for watching. As for your other comment... Have you thought of getting 2 regular dash cameras and install on on the back and on on the front? I use a mini 0826 in my car and it's quite cheap and works great
Just bought a Vantrue N2 on January 8, 2018 and the quality is horrible. Tried different setup but always get the same crapy quality. no definition. At night it"s even worse don"t waste your money.
You need to buy the N2 Pro, not just the N2. The pro has night vision and is fantastic, I have been using mine for months and love it, the video quality is great.
i want to use it more as security in my underground parkade when my vehicle is parked. So I guess i'll have to connect it to some kind of power source, but my question is can it record based on motion?
when you are parked and it is plugged into the cigarette lighter will the parking mode work? I know certain vehicles like chevy has continuous power to the cig lighter
I have a question bro very important question. Does it record license plates ? I bought Garmin 45 it didnt capture any license plates nor its video quality was good so I returned it today.
The only camera system out there would pick up license plate that would be blackvue750 2Ch . Best camera . But HARD WIRING IS A MUST HAVE FEATURES FOR ANY DASH CAM.
Would be so nice to see how it looks installed with wires connected etc.. not a single review does anyone show how to install or what it looks like installed.
in my case I didn't show it installed because I already had one installed (a different model) and I didn't want to go thru all that trouble and take that one off and install this one and than take this one off and install the other one...
nice! Yeah, if you need an inside camera as well, there aren't that many options on the market. My dad is using the camera from this video in his cab now.
JBM 88 no. It’s a dual camera. If you want to record using 4K resolution only the front camera will record. One other option is to have both cameras record at 1080p
I am an Uber driver and I have a new N2PRO. My only issue is recording time. I am using 64 mp cards on high resolution. I want to monitor my entire shift without overwriting. Any suggestions short of buying stock in PNY or Sandisk.
Is there a way to also record the Rear of you car with a 3rd camera? There seems to be nothing in the market that has 3 cameras for front, inside, and rear of car recording?
well first I agree that the vanture n2 is a good dash cam but remember the price do not include a micro sd card and this camera support up to 64gb micro sd cards which run between 20-40$ depends on what brand. so eventually it comes to about 250$ for me it will be much more better to spend a little more and get the real superior like thinkware f800 or f770 or blackvue dr650s or dr750s.
Redskull yes you are right that it depends on budget but remember right now with the Black Friday deals you can get the blackvue dr750s 2ch and 64gb micro sd card for 349$ which means spending 100$ more but way worth it!!
Hi there. Is it a really good camera for night? I need a camera for car interior(inside) not really need for front. Do you think its worth spending $200 for inside camera? Also, can you turn off the screen whilst its been recording?
hi, there are video samples in the review, recorded at night inside the car. You can see everything inside the car with the infrared LEDs on at night time. The screen will turn off after 30 seconds.
There is a "parking mode" feature which records sudden movements, but it requires constant power. Unless your power outlet has constant power, you would have to purchase a separate hardwire kit from Vantrue in order to use that feature. I'd recommend hardwired anyway just for a fact it frees up an outlet.
I got one with 64g sd how can I see inside the car only out view of street when I put sd playing on laptop but when it works both ways showing up on lcd display
I was wondering if you can attach a rear camera( rear of vehicle) to n2 pro. My dad was rear ended( he’s an uber driver) & the other driver hit & run. Or is there an rear only camera you’d recommend so I feel my dad is protected( front, inside, and rear) when he’s working. Thanks
Question--how good is the suction cup? I've had GPSs with suction cups, and all these cups kept falling off after a few weeks. As good as this camera seems, I'm wary of that being an issue. What's been users' experiences? Thx.
+Elliot A. I've only used the camera for a week. During that time it didn't fall off. Also my car sits in the garage when not driven... Therefore no sun hitting the suction cup constantly
How do you set it to capture other car's license plate clearly?? I have this dash cam it could barely capture a license plate right in front of me when car was fully stopping let alone hit n run 😛 ... blurrs just like all the license plates viewed in this youtube (except for the one that's very upclose and the car is fully stopping) otherwise they're pixelated and the pixels won't correct when you zoom.
Would the front-back camera be good for recording both angles if you happened to get hit in the back by another vehicle? I just want it for insurance purposes.
Very unlikely. This is the second one of these cameras that I have purchased I had the N2 and now I have the N2 pro it barely reaches to the back of my SUV! Not to mention all the seeding and different objects in its way chances are you will not see video of what happens in a rear end collision! X specially in the dark it is pretty much useless in the dark!
how sensitive is the motion detection function? I had another camera and did not really work. I had to come really close and make big movements, to catch anything. Does this camera work better? I want to keep it on, while I am away from the car, in case someone scratches it or does other damage.
The camera facing forward it seems, is what this common driver seeks. The 'in-cabin' camera does seem an obvious practical addition for any for-hire type driver. My concern as a regular person (who takes many driving issues very seriously) is about the rear. Too many times I've got some joker who's following way too close and I want to clearly record the event before something happens. So, I need at least two primary cameras facing away from the vehicle. I don't entirely see the in-cabin coverage as not needed as reality can it's only 'not needed' until it's been proven to be useful. Also, I have a strong distaste for add-ons that plainly look like aftermarket attachments. The suction cup screams funky as do any visible wires. So, for me, all of this matters. Anyone reading here, please share ideas about the best package. Perhaps I'm directing myself toward law enforcement grade product.

How long can this camera record at once. For example if I leave the camera on how long will it last till the battery dies or how does it work??
the camera will record till it runs out of power or space on the sd card. On the internal battery it only stays on for about 1 minute
Does it record overnight? Just in case someone hits your car in a parking lot while you are not around.
only if you hard-wire it to your car's battery
Good review nice camera but I still prefer the BlackVue 750

Is there a way to also record the Rear of you car with a 3rd camera? There seems to be nothing in the market that has 3 cameras for front, inside, and rear of car recording?

Can Acer camera be hooked up to this? For the rear window.
Can a third camera. Typo
Hi I have a question?
How about your speed ?
Can I get speed how fast your are going?
you can but you need to buy the GPS module as well. I may have left a link in the video's description
could you make it run 24/7 because i had an incident where someone hit my car when i parked my car overnight?
There is a "parking mode" feature which records sudden movements, but it requires constant power. Unless your power outlet has constant power, you would have to purchase a separate hardwire kit from Vantrue in order to use that feature. I'd recommend hardwired anyway just for a fact it frees up an outlet.

Does this venture dashcam catches license plates numbers. I mean can you read the license plate number?
hey, check out the sample footage in the video and you can see for yourself
I was wondering if you can attach a rear camera( rear of vehicle) to n2 pro. My dad was rear ended( he’s an uber driver) & the other driver hit & run. Or is there an rear only camera you’d recommend so I feel my dad is protected( front, inside, and rear) when he’s working. Thanks
no...you can't...only if he get a separate camera. Check my channel, i reviewed a cheap dash camera that works great about 3 days ago

I only have 64gb cards so I can only confirm for those
How do I turn off the cabin camera???? Is it in the resolution settings?
yeah, change the resolution
I wish this had a Super Capacitor & internal GPS. But more so a Super capacitor is the only thing that stops me from buying it.
Does it hold a charge without being plugged in?
Yes, but it only lasts for 5-7 minutes
What if you are in a robbery situation and the robber gets hold of your dash cam. Is there any technology the dashcam can be connected to your phone or another remote phone or a remote computer ?
unfortunately no
You would want to get an Owl Cam ($350.00) or other similar dash cam that uses cloud or LTE. Black Vue has this as well but pricey.
Can't believe Uber hasn't upgraded their app for front and back camera recording yet...
but that would kill the battery in any phone in an hour
Does this require an SD Card, and does it have any on board memory?
it requires an SD card, no internal storage
