Hell yeah man. In these trying times, I cherish the quiet moments that you can just soak in the sun or the rain or the air and just be present. 7-8am is the prime time for that for sure.
Everything about this film is very sharp. Location, actors, wit, slang, music. Double ending and the message. A damn good film. Hollywood is outta the window with this. IMO.
Layer Cake is one of my favourite movies ever. I remember just melting into my seat at the cinema and just absorbing all the fantastic performances. I read both books and honestly the film is better and I enjoyed both books.
@@johnchasemitovich7357 It makes perfect sense. This movie was the perfect way to show his skills as a Bond-would-be. I think it's even pretty much confirmed that they chose him due to this movie.
Lock, Stock, & Two Smoking Barrels, his first, I think is better as Snatch is absurdist parody. Still love it, but Layer Cake is fantastic; so is The Long Good Friday too if you're looking for good British gangster flicks.
I need to add this to my playlist, I've just done a 12 hr shift at work came home, showered, big cup of tea 🍵 and a nice big fat one, headphones in, listening to this full whack.... Chilling bliss 😌😎
Was watching the movie on t.v. and I thought "This soundtrack is awesome. I wonder if it is on RUclips ? Then I found it and that is what made an already great day.
This song is played in a promotional video at the asian Oberoi hotels. You arrive your room and this music is on the TV... it completely liberates you from any stress you had!
Song reminds me on the older Sneaker Pimps Songs... trip hop was at it's highest heights after the millennium. Don't ask me why but i always associate it with London and the Playstation 2 era during the early 2000s

@Notaravisen Some of my fav albums i can list -- Above and beyond - Tri state , Ministry of sound - One, Chicane (all the albums are great), and genereally alot of the ministry of sound stuff is where i find most of my music

The quintessential drifter's song. Epic rhythm and the ultimate in chill dripping from the lips of the vocalist. She's a snake charmer, that's for sure. Thanks for the upload
Like everyone else it seems this is one of my favourite films. It's construction, the way it unfolds, the acting, the script is brilliant. A bit ticked off with the ending. The hero doesn't usually get bumped off. But now Daniel Craig is out of his contract as James Bond there is an opening for Layer Cake part two. Since we never saw him die, just being cradled in the loving arms of Sienna Miller. Sorry got lost there for a minute. Mike Oh yes a big thanks to FC Kahuna Hayling. Nearly forgot my manners. The last two minutes are kind of interesting. Very avant-garde. Although I seem to recall another artist doing the same for an eternity.
i actually think this movie might be the best MODERN britich ganster pic, seriously good and it was even better that matthew vaughan made it instead of guy ritchie because he is just class
“Dragan, why don’t you come over for breakfast. I’ll grind some coffee and squeeze some orange juice and we cant talk about this like adults.” “Sounds very hospitable.” “Do you know where I live?” “No” “Well fuck off then”
Over and over and over again...it could be a never ending track and it would never get boring... I makes you wander and even decide to do things. If you doubt about doing something just listen to it! ;-)
Well this shit rocks....I did find another user that posted the actual video and he had a link that enabled us to download their actual album. It was virus free, so this let me hear the entirety of this bands album. Good stuff.
@betterdropdatdonk let me assure you that it truly is an astounding feeling that leaves you bedazzled while you stare down on endless fields of clouds passing by with tiny dots of earth beneath it. =)

My favorite song for late nights/early mornings. When it's 5a.m. and you've been up all night... This is your anthem.
Hell yeah man. In these trying times, I cherish the quiet moments that you can just soak in the sun or the rain or the air and just be present. 7-8am is the prime time for that for sure.
@@ReMattch it's still my anthem, and those quiet moments are more precious than ever in these trying times.
@@conorpsr same here man, after all those years..
@@ReMattch to be honest lads I usually listen to this when I'm on my way to package a bunch of cocain with Tom Hardy, it's fun you should try it lmao
@@EthanBuildz great movie, and where I discovered this song from

Adam Schroeder you are well versed in the ways of the cake.

Watching Layer Cake on Netflix and had this song at the start. Awesome trippy tune.

+Marcus Worsley Magic fuck off.
The movie is better, that's because JJ Connolly (autor of the book) also wrote the script.
both books?
happentodie There‘s a sequel to _Layer Cake_ called _Viva La Madness_
@@happentodie8776 Yeah shit I didn't know either!!

Dark, moody, stylish, shallow, deep, melodic with solid beat. Very nice! 4 stars at least.

One of the songs that you play if: good shit has gone down, bad shit has gone down or shit is going down.
This movie made me understand why daniel Craig became 007.
That doesn’t make any sense but ok

Definitely
@@johnchasemitovich7357 Eh?
Daniel Craig became bond because of this movie..... Its the scene when gene gives him the gun and he creeps round the corner. True story.
Great film and well put together (besides Gambon's orange makeup)
