For anyone watching this who hasn’t seen Sy smash it live, go and see him. It doesn’t matter if your 18 or 58, you will have a great time and your age won’t matter. The man absolutely smashes it live
What a inspiration DJ SY was to me and many others 👌🏻the reason I would buy tapes every month and the reason I'd spend countless hours practicing how to DJ 🎶🔊 I've just recently got some decks (midlife crisis) 😂👍🏻
Chris i agree with you mate.he is the reason i bought my decks in the mid 90's.finaly played alongside him in 2004 which was a dream come true.top bloke this guys.
😱 omg how cool was it to play along side him!!? And meet him 😬I'm never normally star struck by anyone and not trying to sound big headed but I've met some famous people but DJ SY is iconic 👍🏻👌🏻 I'd like to see him live never got chance when I was younger 🙁
Chris hes a great guy and will go out of his way to give advice and help you.used to see him live when i played at events or even if i was out promoting myself ect.i had a very simular style to sy lol copy cat haha.back 2 back was a treat as i used to thrash the scratching out too.hes a legend and number 1 dj in the world in my eyes.
john dunn nearly forgot I've uploaded a couple videos 1 I did last night was a happy hardcore set not my finest work as it was late and I'd had a few beers 🍺🤦🏼♂️😂 if you get chance have a look thanks 🙏🏻
This man is simply my youth i was raised up on this music. He is a God in my eyes i was so sad when the happy Hardcore scene just died off. But in my heart and head it will always live on. Happy Hardcore will never die.
@1:22 Mc says "Bacup Massive". Bacup is my home town. It's a tiny little town in the northwest near the Lancs and Yorks border. Because it's so small and so obscure it's a bit of chill giver to hear it on tapes and stuff... ;) If I had to guess I'd say it was my friend Mandy. She and her friends call themselves that I think. Me and my pals used to go by "Bacup Crew" or the "Blackthorn Massive" which is the street, Blackthorn Lane, and Blackthorn School was our primary school, where we all grew up...
This man had god like status in the 90's. His tape packs used to have to much scratching in um 4 me. But legend. I love that people are just dancing and enjoying a set. Rave culture, hard to explain what it really meant to people at the time..to the people who went to the raves to the kids who grew up with this in the background of life.
The best dj and scratch master in the world and always will be i love sy i always bought hardcore heaven box sets all the time bring bk that good old days htid
I was born a bit too late to be there at its peak but I've always loved hardcore from when my older cousin used to give me dreamscape and helter skelter tapes, and DJ Sy was always my favourite. When I got into DJing myself later in life, I've always appreciated how technically good Sy is too. His scratching is second to none in the hardcore world! If I could do it even half as well as he can I'd be happy. Legend
Dj sy shook his hand at kinetic back in the day! Remember his set at helter skelter at Milton Keynes 10 minutes of scratching with whistles and horns blowing brings back memories and goosebumps! Dj brisk was on after him the other warehouse was empty!
DJ SY You Are A Total Legend 👊🏻🙏❤️💙🐼🎵💥 Hardcore will never die scratching is an art I can only dream of doing this in my hardcore sets Big Ups RESPECT Peace ✌️
I took my favourite SY tape to a rave to get it signed, he signed it as SYNED 🤣... i was like a kid at xmas man, i couldnt believe it, I was proper star struck lol it was helter skelter the final countdown 98/99 the mixing and scratching is flawless ❤
One of my favourite DJs back in the day. Inspired me to learn to skratch. But watching him skratch is strange as he has a realy light touch on the record. But you dont hear sy or hype learning new skratches. I know fast babies skratches and chirps sound better on faster music. But some fast 2 click orbits would sound good on a build up drum roll.
Now thats how a DJ should be doing it👌 none of this preloaded on a memory stick or computer shite you see now. Nowadays the so called DJ's spend more time with their 'hands in the air" dancing about. These guys like SY mastered their craft and earned their money and status. More power to them😁😵💫🤪🥴😉
@@Deezissus250 I've got the EP I could upload it at somepoint. I don't think there is a video for it yet. The only reason I knew the tracks, was because I own it, plus a few other R2F records.
