Anyone older than 70 years who can still crank out the music and perform shows like he does deserves legend status in the music world. And still sell out the house.
I grew up in the 60s& 70s and older brothers that listened to this kind of music. When I hear one of these songs it brings back such wonderful memories. that era had some of the very best bands . thank you to my brother for giving me the great since of really good Old,ies. must mean I'm an oldies
Guess honored to be one of the very few million American's got to see Frankie Valli live in concert around 40 to 50 yards away from me, back in the 1990's.
This was such a pleasure to see Frankie on this show. I cant remember exactly what year this would be, Regis was so much younger and Kathie Lee was still a his co- host. It makes you feel sad that so many of the people who were guests on the show, including Regis himself are not with us any longer. Makes you say to yourself, try to make the most of everyday we are on this earth. Frankie was really very busy with his career at that time. Hes certainly been "around the world and ay yay yay". A very seasoned performer. I really enjoyed the nostalgia of this video.❤🎤🎵💿
Great singer with unique and singular voice. I have been listening to his songs since 1962 with his first famous song "Cherry". May God continúe to bless him.
I love love love Frankie Valli. He was a true Nicky Newarker. You would drive down the roads in Newark and on different corners groups are singing A cappella back then.
My Brother back in the 70's Joined The Service. And was stationed in Korea.. when he came home we heard the Four Seasons.. which is something he said they heard a lot. I fell in love with the music
In spite of appearances, Frankie and Bob Gaudio were/are extremely close. They are like a married couple. Frankie, to this day, refers to Bob as "my partner", and not by his name.
All members of the Four Seasons had very unique personalities. Tommy Divito was something! Glad Jersey Boys provided us with more information on their backgrounds. Franki loves what he does! I was friends with a couple of his cousins - they lived around the corner from me. Went to same high school - the Formica's. Beautiful Italian women!
when they showed the clip of Frankie Valli singing grease I swear he looked a lot like Dick Clark as the years went y itself Frankie Valli got better looking and as being a newark native my self we all fold our arms across our chests " hey it's a newark thing!
seen alot of interviews on them (kinda obsessed lol) that seemed like it was real feelings and tension between them.@sunnydae, it seems like no one famous likes to admit true public conflicts and to ease the awkwardness will say "we were kidding". check out more interviews on them...their humor sticks out and is easy to laugh with
Lew geru I'm sure there's been arguments, etc. They've known each other for more than 50 years, definitely going to be incidents now and then. It doesn't seem to hurt their friendship, and that's what matters. Still not sure this particular exchange was anything of note though, it seems like two friends teasing each other, which was what they claimed afterward. But who knows.
Wow. A little testy with Bob Gaudio. Something weird going on there. Frankie needs to remember who wrote those great songs. Bob wrote The Sun Ain't Gonna Shine Anymore which was sung well by Frankie, but the Walker Brothers nailed it.
Face it, though. Walker Brothers version is much better even though the arrangement is nearly identical. The charts and sales prove it. And I'm sure that had Bob given 'Can't Take My Eyes Off of You' to any other accomplished singer he would have had a bigger hit.
There is absolutely no way the walkers brothers version of the sun ain’t gonna while anymore is better than VAllis, no way no how. Valli’s reading of that song is absolutely incredible and I blame the damn record company for not providing the proper promotion that classic deserved!!!! Yes the Walkers had the hit and nothing great about the voice it’s nothing but echo on top of echo.
Seriously ? Have you not watched Jersey Boys or watched any interviews of the two of them before ? Those two were TOTALLY going on at each other for the camera ! They have been and still to this day are like an old married couple! They don't even refer to each other by name.. just " My Partner" when addressing the other.
OMG please ! PEOPLE !!!! Those two were TOTALLY going on at each other for the camera ! It was an act they do just about every interview they are in together !!!!!!!!!! Chill out ! They are seriously like an old married couple yah yahing back and forth !!
It was a joke. They thought everyone would realize they were kidding around, but apparently enough people thought it was real that they ended up having to make a statement later :) You can see Frankie smiling at Bob as the segment ends.
Of course they would put a statement out, it’s called PR control. Their behavior was regrettable and unprofessional. I’m sure these guys squabbled over money at times. Still love their sound.
@@susanb2015 Wow I was thinking int had to be 92, since it sounded long the city they did a concert that was released, and this would be 2 years or so before they were elected in the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame.
I love Frankie & I think him bickering with his longtime business partner is not out of the ordinary. What really made me uncomfortable watching this was Regis’s behavior. He kept touching FV face and clothes and kind of said something off-color, ?Freudian slip. Frankie held it together through most of this though. Maybe it was just hero-worship or envy on Regis’s part but if it was Kathy -Lee instead of Regis acting that way, I would have thought she was flirting with him. Creepy Reeg!

Bob should have been there, too. It was really rude of Frankie to point out that he wasn't. But in a way it shows how close they are, to be able to be free to be rude like that.
TheMabes69 Lmao really? What do you consider good music then? There's a reason he and his band had 15 top 10 hits and were inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame.
It’s Sept 2022. The friendship and deal are still intact. Two great talents! I saw Frankie two wks ago. He’s still got it!
He has been lip syncing for many years. He definitely doesn't still have it!
Was that necessary? Let's see you get up on that stage and lip sync.
He lip syncs and uses heavy auto tune. He doesn’t still have it, he lost it many years ago. Don’t be delusional
For those of you that are putting him down....let's see you do it when you are almost 90. If he wasn't still loved no one would pay to see him.

Yes, he does. One of the finest showmen in music history!!
He had a passion for what he does without question.
Anne McCarron nailed it!
I saw Frankie Valli in Grand Prairie, TX (10/20/2022) and he was PHENOMENAL!!! Long Live this kid from Jersey!!!!

great show and interview
Frankie Valli, lived him as a kid in the 60s, and the 70s, Swearing to god, My eyes adored you, Our day will come, all classics
Before “Jersey Boys.” Frankie still looking youthful, and younger than his age.Regis also looking young, and Kathy Lee beautiful.
It's now another 30 years.
Grease will always be THE song! His biggest hit
Frankie Vali the best.

Proud of our Jersey boys!
Kathy Lee was so feminine and pretty especially for a 40 year old woman. I can remember being in my 20's and having a crush on her.
plastic surgery, makeup artists and personal coaches help that a lot.
40 really isnt that old
He is one of the greatest ever .. and he's a little fireplug.

30 years!? A lot more than that now! Nearly double!

The interview was in 1992. This was for their 30th anniversary tour. There is also a video recorded that year in Atlantic City.
Like a married couple that argue. Normal.

It was a contentious exchange. Two dominant personalities going head to head..with very "heady" egos involved. No covering for it.
They do this stuff in every interview I have seen them do together…. It’s all in good fun 🤩
were they really fighting at the end? it's hard to tell
Why does he sound different here than when he sang the opening song to "Grease"?
Older
Damn, I'd lay some wood to Kathy Lee!
Frankie said he was influenced by early R&B and Jazz. Nice nod!
Heard this guy was catholic in a previous interview. Is it so? Can't remember all said
I was named after dawn
Cool. Dawn and Rag Doll are my favourites. Dawn would have been a number one hit if not for the Beatles. I Wanna Hold Your Hand kept Dawn at #2
Is it just me................or is Kathy Lee looking pretty damn hot?
She talks too much? Trying to steal the show over the 'Awsome' Frankie Valli !!!
