Yeah also that idea would get him in hot water with legal issues of amusement park operators and insurance agency along with cops. Since parents now would never be okay with this compared to decades earlier.
That would be the right description for this since now it wouldn't be okay to do this and parents really would have a fit. Maybe back when this episode was made it was but now with smartphones it would definitely get you in hot water and in our times very fast like boiling.
@@Mixima101 yes, some of the most memorable lines from the series arebrge result of good writing, something Family Guy could take a lesson from. Pop culture references every 5 seconds gets old fast.
What I love about that is that that's Homer's fantasy. He imagines having a terrible garbage heap of an amusement park that smells terrible as a great thing.
It's not certain that everyone will know the movie allusion -- The scrolling display of injured kids is a take off on the Battle of Atlanta field hospital scene in "Gone With the Wind" (1939).
I love the scene with Bart petting Santa's little helper, they could have just make Bart doing some evil scheme (like they would probably do in the new seasons), but he's just chilling with his dog, it was so wholesome :)
+Ratpop Genius I assumed it was Hans Moleman, it usually is. I was actually expecting it to be a Hans Moleman gag and ended up slightly confused when it wasn't.
I love Marge's line, "Please, don't bring home anymore old crutches!" It's not only a hilarious line about Homer's excessive impulsivity, but I like it as a mantra for self-change. I like to say, out loud, in a scratchy, terrible impersonation of Marge, "No more old crutches!"
Always reminds me how a couple years before this episode aired, me and my friends who lived next door tried to make their back yard into a neighborhood amusement park when they got their trampoline. Our fort was made mostly out of chairs and bedsheets though, not dirty mattresses lol. And we had swings tied to a spinning clothesline that we would spin as fast as we could. Like the trampoline, probably not very safe haha.
I used to jump on my trampoline ~6 hours a day everyday doing flips, play fighting, double bouncing etc. Never had a serious injury; a twisted ankle or two but that's it. I guess I was lucky.
This is why you invest in padding on and around the trampoline, so when you eventually fall off, you don’t get hurt (at least not as bad as landing on hard ground).
Gee, I love how everyone quotes the very short videos we all have just watched on RUclips. It's like so many can't come up with an original thought anymore.
There used to be a fair in my area, where you could actually pay something like five dollars, I think, to jump on a trampoline for like ten or twenty minutes. They had a bunch of them.
Wow, I've completely forgot about this channel, I started it back in 2011 to share the shorts I love, Got an email the other day. Come back to almost 20k views. Thanks a lot guys! Maybe Ill get back into uploading shorts.
The scene where they jump on the trampoline and the camera looks at Marge from Homer’s perspective makes this an honest cartoon. I feel like the artists loved what they were creating at this point.
I love that even Homer's imagined scheme is pathetic and shoddy.

I was wondering what that was a reference to.
Since when is the garden been so big
I'm still amazed Homer made it to the right address.
Mike Strider but did he? Maybe it was the wrong one but Krusty still had a cursed trampoline
I'm amazed Krusty has a normal house in a normal street as a TV star.
I'm surprised the trampoline wasn't already gone when he got there, especially considering Krusty took out an ad in the paper for it!
It was to krustys house, not to principle skimmers ;)

The scariest thing about this is how accurate it is. As fun as trampolines are, they're just so accident prone.
They are. Broke my femur on one when I was a kid. If you're gonna bounce, just do it alone lol

I had a trampoline for years as a kid and the accuracy is scary, so many injuries, basically used it as a cage fighting arena
SpongeBob and Simpsons pretty much predicted the Willy Wonka scam
I had a trampoline as a kid. We never got hurt. When it snowed or sunny it was always super fun.
