Use a plastic Ziploc bag to remove the oil filter, I did mine yesterday and didn't spill a drop! Place the bag over the filter and unscrew the filter and the oil will pour into the bag then when the filter comes off put it in the bag and remove! I also fill my new filter with oil that way there's no dry startup!
Aside from the ziploc bag, getting a larger pan made a huge difference for me. I kept spilling with the 2 gallon one you used and later bought a 16 qt drain pan. Wish I would have done it sooner. It also has an anti-splash rim and a drain nozzle so you can pour back into gallon jugs without a funnel.
I like the video. You have the right voice for the Do It Yourself video. This was very helpful. The owners manual is useful for determining how many quarts of oil your specifi Model truck and engine holds. And I found mopar made two very different size oil filters for the 2014 Ram. So if your given a smaller filter than the one you remove from you truck at the Dodge dealership it's correct. Great work man. Thanks.
When the oil filter is vertical like that i found its best to fill it up with oil before you install it, this way you have oil pressure immediately on startup and don't have any clickity clackity lifters. Great video otherwise!
Better to fill it only 1./2 way - 2/3. Sometimes the slug of oil in the filter will be an obstruction to the oil pump getting prime when there is air between the pump and the filter. - Sandy
I like your videos. I have the same truck and you pretty much go over all my questions when it comes to upgrades, accessories, and maintenance. I appreciate your help, keep up the good work.
What he said. Oil on a gasket prevents it from sticking to mating surface. Sometimes (NOT with an oil filter) there is a need to NOT oil a rubber seal gasket, but, usually on permanently repaired surfaces that will never be removed again.
That's not why, they peel off everytime regardless. Oil is to lubricate the seal so that it doesn't bind as you spin on the filter, and therefore seals correctly.
One thing I do with all my oil filters that go in vertically is fill them with oil to get it full. It prevents an extensive dry start. Obviously the oil itself is new and clean so I’m not worst that but those few seconds of no oil in the engine does damage. Ive filled all my ram oil filters and when I start it after an oil change the dry start only lasts about a half a second, then its back to normal. I believe it makes the engine have less wear, making it last longer. Ive always done it with all my cars. People think I’m crazy but all my cars have had over 200k miles
I always pre-wet the filters, keep pouring, several times till the proper height to install w/o spilling. even for the 5.2 Jeep engines, a little less to match the screw-mounting angle. Jason good post, keep wettingum ppl.
Nice! Thanks for the vid. I think this might be the first vehicle I've owned where you don't have to used a jack and jack stands. And I suppose I could use the air suspension to raise the truck for more clearance.
Thanks for your support brother! Yeah its nice to not need a jack to get under the truck! Everyone keeps telling me to put a 2/4 belltech drop on it but I like how practical it is right now lol 😆
Boosted2k I would drop it. I have the factory air suspension on mine and wish it would go lower. Although mine is 4x4, I'm not interested in raising it. If I had your truck I would drop it.
Hoo boy. Listen here boys and girls. I felt pretty silly being a grown ass man watching a video on how to change the oil in my "new to me" ram, but holy shit am I glad I did. Old filter seemed like it took forever to spin off holding it with a gallon ziplock bag to try and prevent spillage (actually works pretty well, barely spilled a few drops on the frame), but the new filter tightened up in like 2 turns. Was concerned at first, but then I remembered dude said to make sure the gasket from the old filter didn't stay on the truck, and that's exactly what happened. I've never had that happen before, and I thought it was odd that he would say that, but I 100% would have just double checked to make sure it wasn't cross threaded, and then used my reet ard strength to tighten it up good and proper. Seriously, thanks for these videos and your posts on ramforum. Boutta tackle the active grill shutter delete.
For less mess with the oil filter break it loose. Get a zip lock bag, put it around the filter then screw off. The oil goes in the bag and just a couple drops on the frame
Still a PITA though. My vehicle you just put your vacuum pump in the dipstick to extract the oil, and the oil filter is accessible from the hood, so no need to get under the vehicle or jack anything up. Don't know why FCA can't spend the extra $50 to make it more convenient to service.
Sure it's not a fuel filter, but you should still prime your oil filter before you install it. It take a while for the filter to fill with oil upon startup; and not only does the filter need to fill up, but the entire lubrication system of the engine. Not priming the filter slows the whole process down and that's extra time stressing out the components of the motor. You can't always prime a filter but a bottom mount you can so it helps.
Good write Amrit, all filters should be pre-wet, even the horoznal mounts. Take Ur time in wetting, 1st pour wait and let it soak it, look in, see no oil, pour a little more until u see loose oil and fill to match Ur mounting face w/o spill.
Yeah I've seen them and people seem to be happy with it! Personally it doesn't bother me too much for the amount of times I need to get under there and change my oil I just deal with it. 😁
Good catch Alex! You're right it is electronically powered rather than hydraulic. Saying "power" steering people usually refer to hydraulic steering systems but they are both technically powered 😆
I've changed oil in other vehicles plenty of times before but I just got my 2011 ram a few months ago and am doing my first oil change for it today. Great video 👍
I am not sure if anyone has yet mentioned this. I am a fan of Mobile 1 Full Synthetic that you show in the video. After the normal break-in period on a rebuilt '78 Datsun 280Z engine I switched from the mechanic-installed Pennzoil conventional oil to Mobile 1 full synthetic. To my knowledge, in the early '90 no other oil companies offered full synthetics in the U.S. I stuck with it in that vehicle. Recently I have begun switching all of my vehicles to full synthetic oils of varying brands. They all sell for their weight in gold now, even conventional oil, so what's a couple buck every few thousand miles. I have typically stayed with the brand that the previous owner used, if I knew the previous owner. I even have a Chevy S-10 with 310,000 miles still running Quaker State. In an effort to avoid stocking 3 or 4 oil brands in varying viscosities for each brand, I sought to find one oil brand in one product line that would be suitable and recommended according to all of the manufacturers of the vehicles that I own that is readily available in local retail stores, mainly Wal-Mart (best oil prices that I have found). It is nearly impossible. I did not find one brand and product line that satisfied all auto manufacturers' special additive/formulation guidelines simultaneously. I'm not driving Porsches and Teslas either. For instance, one brand met General Motors "GM6904" specs while not meeting Crysler "MS6395". Some manufacturers go ever further. I owned a 2014 VW Passat 2.5L that specced one Castrol Edge product, and only that one product. I have begun looking in my owners manuals for what each manufacturer recommends specifically for that year and that engine ( like API SN vs API SJ, or the aforementioned GM...., MS...., WS...., etc,) and not relying on older conventional knowledge and experience. Now, my 2015 Ram 1500 5.7L Hemi manual recommends, Mopar, Pennzoil, or Shell Helix that meets Chrysler MS6395 material standards. Pennzoil Platinum Full Synthetic does that. No others that I found did so. All of the viscosity preferences of mine are out the window now too. If my manual states 5W-30, that is exactly what I will use, even if I "feel" like 10W-40 would be better in the SC summer heat towing a 6000lb boat up and down hills at speeds that I could be arrested for just mentioning. No more 10W-30 in the winter, 10W-40 in the fall and spring, and sometimes 20W-50 in the summer. So I found it interesting to note that you are using the very oil that I would have grabbed myself for the first oil change as the new second owner of this truck. I just thought it may be worth everyone looking into. I have also been a fan of OEM oil filters in the past. Wix has demonstrated a commitment to manufacturing quality filters. Napa sells a wix made NAPA Gold filter that is excellent according to some very good mechanics and car nuts like me. It saves me time running around to dealers buying Mopar, Nissan, AC Delco, Toyota, Suzuki, and Mercury Marine filters that I like to keep in stock. Something else worth exploring is the filter medias available now. I have seen some stating that they were designed for use with synthetic oils. A few more worthy suggestions to everyone about oil changes. Don't go 7000 miles before an oil change even if your Vehicle Information Center indicates you are only at 60% of the oil's life. I like 3000, maybe 5000 with synthetics. Check it once a month when the vehicle is level and the engine is cool. ALL vehicles use oil, regardless of age or mileage. Fill the new filter with fresh oil unless it is mounted horizontally and coat the new filter gasket with a film of oil so that it seals well and does not pinch and deform as it is tightened. I personally like a 1/4 to 1/2 turn with a filter wrench after hand tight. I have seen filters come off of other people's vehicles before. I prefer a wrench of the proper size over a ratchet and socket where permissible. It gives me a better feel for how much torque you are applying. A torque wrench is the best of course, but not many people own one, at least in a 3/8" drive. And if you have the luxury of letting the vehicle sit for a couple of hours with the drain plug out, let the dirtiest oil (those last few drops) come out while you grease the suspension, check CV boots for cracks, and look for other signs of potential failures. Spend that time getting to know your vehicle from below. One last thing to anyone attempting to change their own oil for the first time : Down the road no matter how much you know or how much experience you have, question everything until you become familiar with each of your vehicle. In 37 years of having the satisfaction of doing my own mechanicing, along with probably 350 oil changes, I am here myself to learn from someone else what I think I may already know.
I just bought one of these trucks and I love it!! but ,I still cant get over the motor covering and filter, looks like a lawnmower and vacuum cleaner,lol....I always thought you was supposed to fill oil filter half way cause of way they oil themselves, new motors might be different far as i know, thanks
Do you run synthetic oil or conventional in the 5.7 hemi? I have a 2020 and the dealership says conventional is fine but everything online says you should only run full synthetic? I’m concerned I should switch to synthetic
I've changed all my own oil and filter at 5-7k in my last 4 vehicles even new off the lot with warranty. My last two trucks were at 215k miles when sold and not a single issue, tundra though, and 2 challengers with 40k and 55k 5.7, 6.4 both manual trans. I used a 15 minute lube shop one time in my off road tundra, and they mix matched all my skid plates bolts which also later fell off going 50, miraculously didn't do damage to my truck, but also torqued the oil drain bolt on so tight that I had to slot it and replace it. Never again, change your own oil! It's also kind of fun to select your own oil, and filter. Certainly good practice to learn your vehicle and how many miles she'll go without any need for any major issue on intervals, hell I've caught a worn out tie rod end before while changing my oil, and replaced that with a buddy on a Saturday off.
You only need 7 Quarts... The dealer filled it above last time... so I changed my own this time with Pennzoil full synthetic 5W-30W. The 2019 uses the OK button to select and arrows to pass through the choices.
Just got my first 2014 1500 ram sport 5.7 hemi v8 thanks to you just did my first oil change on it thanks man appreciate your videos of course whoever had the filter on before me had it on so tight made it difficult but got through it thanks man alot 💯💯💯💯
Your videos are amazing and I've learnt so much general ram hemi maintenance from you. I use a large glad bag to put over the filter before spinning it off saves clean up.
So just a quick question. Most places recommend the Synthetic oil for the 2014 Ram with the 5.7L. I notice you used a non Synthetic. Is the Synthetic a MUST??
Very clear video! Never did any oil change on any car before, but with this video it looks like a piece of cake for my ram. Definitely gonna try. Only thing is which oil. What's difference in 5w20 and 5w30 ?
haha , i just did mine yesterday, You can always hear and feel smoother operation after oil change. I just rather spend 60 bucks for synthetic and 20k miles filter made for it, but i leave it about 7k miles. What's up with smaller oil filling opening? It used to be double size on my 06.
what do you suggest about the kms or miles between oil changes, compare to the light reminder I can drive lake 8700 ,miles or so,many owners change the oil when they hit 5000mil but I am thinking full synthetic oil is much more better then 5000mil,so what do you think, what is the best way for this?
Just purchased a 2015 dodge ram hemi & going to do my own oil change using 5w20 mobile1 full synthetic with 141k. Only had 1 owner & carfax showes he maintenance truck at dodge dealer on time with everything including oil changes. Did you get your filter from your local autoparts store? If so what store
Congrats on the truck Tyrell! I usually get the OEM mopar filter since its pretty much the same price as the aftermarket ones. Walmart usually has the mopar filter on the shelf 👍👍👍
Thanks for the good info. I will typically remove the oil fill cap while draining oil to alleviate any vacuum and assure the best possible drainage. Happy motoring!
I personally always crank it without starting the engine so the filter gets oil, I just leave the throttle to the floor and crank it after that I turn the engine on, is probably my OCD 🤣
Hi I have a 2012 5.7 hemi and I'm installing a new camshaft what oil do you recommend to break it in .... I currently use 5w20 but I live in texas and people tell me I'm supposed to run it on 5w30 or 10w 30 because 5w20 is too thin.. please help
Mobil 1 5w-20 does not meet the Chrysler MS-6395 certification. The cheaper Mobil Super 5w-20 full synthetic does meet the certification though. So yes using Mobil 1 5w-20 could void your warranty in the rare case you have a an oil related failure and you roll up in the service department with all your oil change records and receipts indicating you used Mobil 1 for all your oil changes. The manual states it clearly, must meet Chrysler MS-6395.
Awful small filter for a engine that size. Basically what I use on the lawn mower. Need some oil on that filter before installing so does not stick when take it off next time.
My dealer replaced the oil filter, but they didn’t put on gasket rubber properly which caused an oil leak. I noticed it before low oil pressure warning is on. Do you think a leaking oil filter will cause dirty oil? Thanks!
Next time you change your oil, if you have a filter That is spell prone when you were trying to remove it,on any vehicle, drill a small hole in the bottom of the filter with a small drill or poke a hole in it and you can control spillage by draining the oil filter into a container Instead of trying to balance a Hot oil filter with scalding oil splashing everywhere.. The second thing is, always always always put oil in the new filter so your engine doesn’t wait to build the oil pressure for five or six seconds when you starteup with the fresh oil. The third thing is, if you hold the fresh oil bottle with the pourspout on top and not on the bottom, the oil won’t glug glug glug out and spill when you’re trying to get the fresh oil into a small hole, without a funnel .The next thing is, always keep a box of disposable rubber gloves or plastic gloves or latex gloves in your garage for when you have to do a messy job handling chemicals. When you’re handling chemicals, remember this, if it’s on your skin, it’s in your body ..
Question about your choice of oil. I thought that Mobil 1 was not approved for Ram Trucks, or any other Chrysler product for that matter. Since Fiat and Mobil had a feud about oil recertification. Not that Mobil 1 is bad, I use it in all my cars, but since it's not approved by Ram, if their was any problem with the engine I go with Penzoil Platinum which is approved. Has there been any change to this?????
Theres no issues with Mobil 1 in our trucks! It's been used for years in lots of mopar vehicles. Maybe a change in "sponsorship" but its still a great oil to run 👍
Great vid man, while the drain plug is out take your oil filter off and screw on the new one after priming it, you will be amazed how much more oil will drain from the pan hole .5 liter sometimes. Need to get all the oil out
Interested in purchasing a 2013 1500 Ram with 5.7 Hemi Truck looks and runs very well my concern is mileage on vehicle 179,000 2nd owner selling claims bought it from dealer and it had 158,000 when he purchased dealer said it was mostly highway mileage looking for advice price is very fair
THrushWasher; I found out a Pilgrim's chicken liver cup works total w/o spilling a drop. The beauty about the cup is squeezable after the filter is broke loose a good half turn, continue to squeeze and turn as finger room allows until the filter breaks loose. ---- Prep the cup by snipping off the cup's top over hanging edge to allow a sure slide-on top fit to the eng block iron. ---- Why Pilgrim's? Best cup at the time and it has room to catch the spill-over oil, maybe a butter-spread cup, just prep it as described.
Mopar filters are junk. Just bought a 19 ram 1500 with 34 miles on it. Ticking at startup due to bad anti drain back valve in filter. Replaced oil filter with Mobil 1 and ticking on gone. 1500 miles later and still haven’t heard it.
Thats an awesome tip with the ziploc bag! I'll have to try that on the next oil change for sure! 👍
That is a great idea!!!!!!
Thanks. Good idea..Will use today
Great tip. Terrible location for the filter.
ThrustWasher I've also been told to fill the filter with new oil before putting it back on. Don't know how much difference it makes.
This girl just did my first oil change today on my 2015 ram hemi with this video. It was awesome and fun to do. Thanks for sharing your video.
Thats awesome! Glad you enjoyed the vid! 👍👍👍
Thanks for teaching us the stuff our dead beat dads never did 🙏🏻💖
I use Amzoil and Wix oil filter on my Ram and I love it.
its 7 quarts and u put the key in the run postion then u pump the gas 3 times thats the master reset on all chrystler products
Aside from the ziploc bag, getting a larger pan made a huge difference for me. I kept spilling with the 2 gallon one you used and later bought a 16 qt drain pan. Wish I would have done it sooner. I have always filled the filter at least half way to help prevent dry starts in the shop and I do it on my own Ram.
Holy shit I just learned something. Lol have had a little lifter noise on start ups that goes away. Thanks guys!
I like your videos. I have the same truck and you pretty much go over all my questions when it comes to upgrades, accessories, and maintenance. I appreciate your help, keep up the good work.
Great video shows you step by step real useful if you have no idea in mechanics
Thanks so much my man! Just did a oil change on my ram and this video helped a lot
The main reason gaskets stick to the block is from a lack of oil on the gasket. The oil residue on the block isn’t enough. Put oil on the gasket.

Due to this virus scare, this girl is having to change her own oil for the first time, in a long time. Thank you for the walk through!
D
No problem! Hope it went well!!
BoostedMotorsports Yes, thanks to your vid! 👏🏼🏆
Did you survive?
You made it!? I knew you could do it
Every couple of oil changes I usually pour some fresh oil in the top as it finishes draining, just helps get all that dirty oil sitting in the bottom
ALWAYS fill the oil filter with fresh oil before install
Have you thought about a oil filter relocation kit? To be able to move it to a easier access point. It would really help out in my opinion.
Yeah I've seen them and people seem to be happy with it! Personally it doesn't bother me too much for the amount of times I need to get under there and change my oil I just deal with it. 😁
I am going to try that and an engine oil cooler too. Currently runs at 100 - 107centigrade but hoping Cooler will keep down to 90 centigrade
Just blast the frame with brake clean after putting the new filter on. And the spec is 25 ft lbs on the drain plug for the 5.7 hemi
Truck doesn’t have power steering it has Electronic steering because there is no place to poor power steering fluid
Good catch Alex! You're right it is electronically powered rather than hydraulic. Saying "power" steering people usually refer to hydraulic steering systems but they are both technically powered 😆
@@BoostedMotorsports
Technically, you gain some HP with the servo power steering. One less belt/pulley to rotate
I cut the top off of a washer fluid jug.........slip the bottom half of the jug under the filter and unscrew it into the jug
I got to say 2wheel drive is much easier to change the oil filter than on my 4x4 👍🏻😎
Haha very true! 😎
Use a zip lock bag over the filter and twist off with no mess
Good tip about the gasket.
I recommend Royal Purple, it’s good stuff…. I use on all our cars and truck

Actually Amsoil was the first synthetic. Original mobil one sucked and Amsoil showedmobil how to make it.
Nice wheels and tires.
Thanks Alex!
How much oil did you use from the 2nd bottle ??
Mobile 1!!! That's what use!
Can't go wrong with Mobil 1 synthetic! 😎
Do you use a new crush washer on the drain plug?
I just bought one of these trucks and I love it!! but ,I still cant get over the motor covering and filter, looks like a lawnmower and vacuum cleaner,lol....I always thought you was supposed to fill oil filter half way cause of way they oil themselves, new motors might be different far as i know, thanks
Mobil 1 doesn't meet requirement for chrysler spec 6395.
Pennzoil does.
Jake Manchester because they don’t have a contract with them to say it does
Do you run synthetic oil or conventional in the 5.7 hemi? I have a 2020 and the dealership says conventional is fine but everything online says you should only run full synthetic? I’m concerned I should switch to synthetic
Whoever designed where the oil filter location is deserves to be fired 😂
I put a rubber glove over the filter and it catches the spillage
Thats a great tip too Jerry! 👍
Nice video, nice rims
If I may ask, why Mobile1 instead of Amsoil? I'm not trying to bash Mobile 1, I'm just curious
What kind of mufflers do you have on your mopar? And thanks for video
Motor.
Is royal purple good for this motor
What antenna do you have? Thanks!
Great video subbed..
So just a quick question. Most places recommend the Synthetic oil for the 2014 Ram with the 5.7L. I notice you used a non Synthetic. Is the Synthetic a MUST??
Mobil 1 is full synthetic over here in Australia anyway
Very clear video! Never did any oil change on any car before, but with this video it looks like a piece of cake for my ram.
Definitely gonna try. Only thing is which oil. What's difference in 5w20 and 5w30 ?
Well...the filter it is not....
I would think you would Prime the filter with oil ?
Was about to do an oil change on 2017 1500 express and was wondering where the oil filter is. Your video was helpful. Thanks
Excellent video, very well done, I subscribed - thanks!
haha , i just did mine yesterday, You can always hear and feel smoother operation after oil change. I just rather spend 60 bucks for synthetic and 20k miles filter made for it, but i leave it about 7k miles. What's up with smaller oil filling opening? It used to be double size on my 06.
Yeah they made it pretty tiny on these trucks but I still managed to dump it in there without spilling it all over the place lol 🤣
Why choose mobil 1 over penzoil? Or even Roual purple
Was there any type of gasket or washer for your plug? My setup and plug looks just like yours but there was no washer..
what do you suggest about the kms or miles between oil changes, compare to the light reminder I can drive lake 8700 ,miles or so,many owners change the oil when they hit 5000mil but I am thinking full synthetic oil is much more better then 5000mil,so what do you think, what is the best way for this?
My '18 hemi Ram only takes 6.5 qts to put it at the top fill mark.
Thanks for checking out the vid! Let me know what you think of the other RAM videos on the channel also when you get a chance! 👍😎
So after you reset it on the dashboard does it still real “change” ? Mine stayed the same on red.
Fyi the mobil super synthetic is the only one with the MS- certification ram calls for.
Its recommended not required
I thought Ram recommends Penzoil Platinum. I've been using that since the first oil change, every 5000 miles.
I personally always crank it without starting the engine so the filter gets oil, I just leave the throttle to the floor and crank it after that I turn the engine on, is probably my OCD 🤣
Great instructional vid. Thanks.
Thanks Andy! Be sure to check out the other videos on the channel too when you get a chance!
Manual says it takes 7 quarts but it's actually around 7.5 quarts
Really enjoying your channel!
Thank you appreciate the support! Plenty more on the way! 👍👍👍
Hi I have a 2012 5.7 hemi and I'm installing a new camshaft what oil do you recommend to break it in .... I currently use 5w20 but I live in texas and people tell me I'm supposed to run it on 5w30 or 10w 30 because 5w20 is too thin.. please help
That 339 oil filter will cus low oil pump get 899 is the best for 5.7 if you want to confirm go to your oil pressure and check it
What type of wheels? Great informative video, I’m new to the ram family, thanks for the tips.
That's what I wanna know
Hellcat replica wheels
I really like your videos on the Ram 1500. I do a lot of my own maintenance, and your videos rock!
“Oil filter placement, not a big deal… whoever designed the Mobil cap should be fired.”
😆
I have to apologize for the bad info on Mobile 1 oil for the Ram 1500 in fact they do have oils that meet the Ram Oil Spec MS-6395 please forgive me.
No worries Greg! 😎
Thanks for clearing that up, I thought I had read somewhere that Mobile 1 did not meet the Chrysler MS-6395 Specs and could void your warranty.
bdhays63 it says recommended in the manual not required
Awful small filter for a engine that size. Basically what I use on the lawn mower. Need some oil on that filter before installing so does not stick when take it off next time.
Yep, i made the two gasket mistake once on my little Ford Ranger. Once you do it once, you will never do it again!
Hahah so true! It was an exciting experience that I'll never forget either! 🤣 Thanks again for your support and feedback on the channel brother! 👍
New sub here.. . .keep up the good work, man!
My dealer replaced the oil filter, but they didn’t put on gasket rubber properly which caused an oil leak. I noticed it before low oil pressure warning is on. Do you think a leaking oil filter will cause dirty oil? Thanks!
no
Before I use Mobil 1 and noticed it will breakdown more faster than Pennzoil and my truck engine feels more smoother.
Garcia's Wood Work probably because the only Mobil oil certified by Chrysler is the Mobil super synthetic
if you put a gallon zip lock bag over the filter once loose you won't make a mess.
When you’re handling chemicals, remember this, if it’s on your skin, it’s in your body
..
Great tips Jody! 👍
I accidentally killed my sisters cats
I never reccomend drilling a hole into the oil filter to drain if there ever was a problem with the new filter you would be screwed.
Thumbs up for bitching about that cap on the jug. I’ve been using the same oil for years and I have the same gripe.
Its a petty complaint but man whoever designed that should be fired lol
Changing your oil with while wearing your wrist bracelet jewelry?
Great vid man, while the drain plug is out take your oil filter off and screw on the new one after priming it, you will be amazed how much more oil will drain from the pan hole .5 liter sometimes. Need to get all the oil out
Do you have a video on doing a tune up? 2014 ram hemi
Bs. I do not have that much clearance to lay under my truck.
Oil filter location is a pain with a 4x4.
Bro do you prefer Mobil 1 synthetic oil or pennzoil?
Interested in purchasing a 2013 1500 Ram with 5.7 Hemi Truck looks and runs very well my concern is mileage on vehicle 179,000 2nd owner selling claims bought it from dealer and it had 158,000 when he purchased dealer said it was mostly highway mileage looking for advice price is very fair
The engine was designed for 5/30 over 20 years ago.
What do you suggest on a 2013 1500 with the 5.7 L hemi but not using full synthetic?
just use 5w20 none synthetic thats wat the dealer uses
So to let you know, the Mobil 1 5w-20 does not meet the Hemi MS-6395 specs...
Super Saiyan God the Mobil super synthetic does.
