    I think it’s worth mentioning that researching Plasma Scoring is huge for Creuss for a couple reasons:
    1. Gets you closer to Splicer and PDS II, which is nutty in tandem with a couple PDS on Mallice.
    2. I believe your agent can work after a player activates your home system, which means you can enable your pds 2 to shoot at the invasion.
    3. My favorite fleet combo is 2 lvl 2 carriers and a Dreadnought, I think it takes advantage of your commander pretty well and that Dreaddy gets an extra bombardment in there.
    The sad reality though is that if you have the red skip planet and don’t have the yellow it might not be worth

    • @Toftolus
      @Toftolus 10 месяцев назад +1

      It is interesting, but dang its a lot of techs. Plasma, Dimensional splicer, a yellow tech, PDS II, a blue tech and Carrier II. Thats six tech. So you might have to abandon any blue techs and you have to take Construction a lot. And then maybe you just should place a gamma wormhole in your homesystem, then it protects Mallice also. So now you have potentially five PDS shots AND Dimensional splicer in both Mallice and your homesystem. A great and interesting play 😃🦾

      Yes I find those combo's interesting as well! But I think it requires some Structure objectives as well, otherwise I think the investment into red and yellow is too big. Thanks for sharing :)

      The flagship can fly through its own wormhole, though. That is the sole reason why the card mentions the option to let the flagship move after your other ships. And thank you for your kinds words as well :)

      @@essersgamingcave It seems that I was indeed wrong and was thinking of the ruling from TI3. Didn't help that this say seems more logical to me. But you are right of course and I stand corrected. My bad!
      My question to you: Do you like to play them and find them fun? I will find out in a month since I find them cool, exotic and interesting with their mobility but I don't suppose that I will be the strongest faction in the table.

    • @Toftolus
      @Toftolus 10 месяцев назад

      Very important to note: the Flagship can move through its own wormhole 🙃
      Im wondering whether we should ask Esser a question, when we are in doubt of something in his well researched and well produced videos?
      If we just make a statement in a comment, then that might be all some viewers see, even if the statement is wrong and is corrected in the replies. And thereby could the viewers get the mechanism wrong, and thats sad, especially when there was no mistake 😊

    • @essersgamingcave
      @essersgamingcave  10 месяцев назад +2

      No worries! I double checked the flagship abilities and saw that the flagship has changed a lot since TI3. Would it be okay with you to prefix your original comment with something like that? Just to avoid any confusion?
      It has been a while since the last time I played them. And I believe I have gotten better at reading the map since then. I remember not using the wormholes well enough to score whatever objectives that were out. So that game didn't really go well :)
      But after making each faction guide, I can't wait to play that faction in a real game, get ready for a great opening, and then forget something anyway. But I will pick Ghosts the next time I get the chance to play them and hopefully play them better.

      @RaK0 10 месяцев назад +1

      @@essersgamingcave Haha, I know that feeling. Having a really good game and then whiffing it because of forgetting something or because of an oversight. But it never takes away from the fun one has with this game. I'm really excited about trying them out soon. Again, thank you for your videos and I deleted my original comment, of course.

    1st round trade question: why not use warfare secondary to produce at home so you actually can take all 3 planets? you could still tech sling relay if you want after

    • @essersgamingcave
      @essersgamingcave  7 месяцев назад +4

      If you get the chance to use Warfare Secondary, then do so by all means. In my experience the Warfare player tries to delay playing the card as long as possible, so I wanted to demonstrate a way to get a good round without that dependency :)

    Mallice in the very first movement? How noone of the Marburg Community didnt understood the agent yet? Two free tradegoods in round one ...just wow :) And the flagship before/ after movement is pure genius. Thanks for the insights :) You are the true danish king. Not Frederik X.

      It can be risky, though, if an aggressive faction has wormholes, unless you go in with a strong defensive force

    Playing as the Creuss next week for the first time. I am really looking forward to it because they seem so fun but unfortunately, one of the new players will play the Nekro. Any thoughts about how the Creuss should handle them? I'm leaning heavily towards a PDS2 + Dimensional Splicer strategy. Sadly, Lightwave Deflector is out of the question. Do you have any experience in this scenario yourself?

    • @essersgamingcave
      @essersgamingcave  10 месяцев назад +1

      I don't remember playing ghosts with Nekro at the table as well. But nekro often changes the tech game completely. So with them playing I would obviously think twice about researching the tech I want, and make sure it's either hard for nekro to assimilate it or another player already got that tech. And before going into PDS2 and Dim. Splicer, consider whether those techs/that strategy will help you score points. And lastly you can try adn negotiate with Nekro, so that you are compensated for any units lost. I.e. both of you agree on you researching Sling Relay for instance, then Nekro can shoot down a lonely destroyer of yours in exchange for X trade goods or something else.

    • @RaK0
      @RaK0 10 месяцев назад +1

      @@essersgamingcave Will do that, thanks. Since it will be the first game of TI for 3 players at the table, I will not strongly advise anyone to NOT research tech or use special units because I want everyone to see what TI can be all about and everyone should have fun. I'll just bet on the fact that the Nekro won't overpower us since he will be one of these new players. :D

    Thanks for the video. To be honest, I didn't like it as much as the others. The explanation felt a bit all over the place. So instead of going over each similar component, you just went all over the place. I just lost you across the video. So as constructive criticism, it might be good to explain each component separately, and at the end show some of the combinations that are possible. So explain the basics in isolation, and follow up with some of the plays (like you did with the leadership card)

    • @essersgamingcave
      @essersgamingcave  10 месяцев назад +1

      Thanks for letting me know. I have been back and forth on whether or not to explain all details upfront. Simply because I felt it was a lot of theory to go through, before we could dive into the more practical stuff. But if the explanation feels like it is all over the place, then I will go back to get all the details in place first. I appreciate the honest feedback! :)

    • @IvoR87
      @IvoR87 10 месяцев назад

      @@essersgamingcave don't get me wrong, I really appreciate the effort that you're putting in these videos. So like I mentioned: first a basic explanation of the parts, with maybe some really simple clarification examples (like you do with your shorts), followed by a "here's some crazy/fun examples what you can do with this faction" would be great. Be aware, I might be biased because this is the setup that SCPT (for those who don't know: Space Cats Peace Turtles) uses for their guides. You would have the added benefit of seeing it instead of just hearing it.
      Also, I noticed that you put a lot of comments in the video of small errors that you made. That might be because you switched contexts so much, that the narrative might have been complex.
      Apart from that, keep up the good work 😊
