This is totally what I want foldable phones to be like. I don't want to carry around a long phone that turns into a tablet, I have a laptop for that. Having a phone that is extremely pocketable is awesome and with the ever increasing phone sizes, this could be exactly what I need!
Not gonna lie, I knew the phone was coming but had no clue that "old school mode' was a thing. I fast forwarded a little in the video and when i saw the old school mode on i literally though you were holding an original Razr phone and my jaw dropped when I rewound and saw it.
1 crappy back camera, 720p 6,2" screen, SD710, plastic back, Android 9, bloatware, 2500 mAh, US$1500?? (US$2100 here in Brasil). Wtf Motorola, i get the foldable screen and all, but... wtf Motorola??

The Razr was Just Motorola doing something to show, and get attention, just because they can, and in this case not because they should. Affordable ($300 USD or less)folding screen phones for the greater masses unless we are talking someone doing a dual screen phone again, then I think are still 5 - 10 years out.

@@LinuxAndroid86 I gave my Mother an E5 Cruise for Cricket Wireless, and it just recently as of last month got an OTA update, and I personally like my G7 which also just received an update a couple of weeks ago, and while those where only security updates, it's better than a lot of LG phones I've seen around the same price range that never even got that!

Looks ok , i think i would be leaning towards the galaxy Z and galaxy fold , both also no doubt fairly pricey , but a bit better specced i think , and the fold is now on revision two with most of the bugs worked out . Sammy usually gives the higher end phones a 2 year warranty , any idea what the warranty is on the razer ?

it's smaller when folded, which a lot of people, including me, really like it's basically the same argument as with the phablets. small footprint, big screen.
there is none, its a cool throwback design but its useless because the phone is super tall and narrow, the galaxy fold makes a lot more sense because it unfolds into an ipad mini sized tablet

Ya however there is an entire generation of people in college and last year of highschool that have never heard of razr, besides the laptops. 1500 for mid range specs and a poorly implemented gimmick just isn't worth it

watching this on my moto edge + emmm i checked the body flex and you can tell it doesn't fold easily. lol that thing is thight like it was 1 piece of glass with polished edges mmmm perfect

For the price of this phone Motorola obviously is trying to make every single penny the can. They always choose Verizon because their customers have excellent credit and can always afford their devices. Verizon's customers are referred to as top tier customers and that's why they get the best phones first

I have 2 version of the Motorola Razr both them broke I just loved this Phone Design when they came out If I had the disposable income income to slap at this phone I would get it.
Yeah if I was Bill Gates rich I would get one just too have it, and back in the day I had a Moto Razr V3 on AT&T Go phone service with a hard shell case on it, and I loved that phone in many ways, as it always made a statement when I took a call at work, but sadly I went boating with some friend's, and family, and it fell out of my pocket as my girlfriend was calling me, as I was catching the boat to tie up to a dock, and so now it still sits all these years later at the bottom of the Savanna River 😔

I know so many complaints about this phone. Just because the processor isn't the newest available. Due to its thin size they had to compromise in some areas but all in all it is a solid phone for those, like myself, who want a smaller device. The fold really appeals to me. I agree that it is still overpriced but with a payment plan im willing to give it a swing. I ordered one and it will be here in the morning. Im excited and nervous. If it isn't up to par I will return it and go for the galaxy s20

Clearly, Motorola has lost the plot. They have no original, innovative ideas to put on sale, so they went the nostalgia route. No one but fools blinded by nostalgia wants to buy this hunk of junk. $1500 for what is essentially a mid-range device with a folding display is a joke. nostalgia yes heck it still has that retro charm ... but totally awful specs given the price. i'll say should have stayed dead and be admired by millions, now the razr is being booed and has a blackhole product in it's lineup.
The nostalgia factor is undeniable. The durability factor is suspect, very suspect. The specs are a joke. I wouldn’t pay more than $500 for it. Wouldn’t be surprised if the price dives in a few months.

With a cleaning cloth and cleaner. Or an alcohol wipe. Just like glasses or a monitor

I know so many complaints about this phone. Just because the processor isn't the newest available. Due to its thin size they had to compromise in some areas but all in all it is a solid phone for those, like myself, who want a smaller device. The fold really appeals to me. I agree that it is still overpriced but with a payment plan im willing to give it a swing. I ordered one and it will be here in the morning. Im excited and nervous. If it isn't up to par I will return it and go for the galaxy s20

Clearly, Motorola has lost the plot. They have no original, innovative ideas to put on sale, so they went the nostalgia route.
No one but fools blinded by nostalgia wants to buy this hunk of junk. $1500 for what is essentially a mid-range device with a folding display is a joke. Honestly, this looks like some Chinese knockoff device.
If I had random $1500 to spend, I'd still go with this over an iPhone, for example.

nostalgia yes heck it still has that retro charm ... but totally awful specs given the price.
i'll say should have stayed dead and be admired by millions, now the razr is being booed and has a blackhole product in it's lineup.

The nostalgia factor is undeniable. The durability factor is suspect, very suspect. The specs are a joke. I wouldn’t pay more than $500 for it. Wouldn’t be surprised if the price dives in a few months.
