thank god this apeared!!! damn!!! i was trying so hard to do this solo, i found some tabs, and some videos, but all was wrong!, some parts where crap, but this...this made me finaly play the solo!! :D!

@fbrikman Hi There you know you can buy the dvd this performance lesson is from... the dvd breaks down each part bit by bit step by step as well as four other metallica songs. You can pause the dvd and review each part until you have it perfect!

when I used to play that bit..id bend the G string up full on the 16th fret, whilst keeping my baby finger also on the 17th fret of the B string, but not bending it, and hitting the two notes together...dunno if that helps at all...but it gives a lovely scream sound..

@usetheforce93 its normal for a guy who plays 8months ago, u dont have experience enough to play this solo, ive been playing about 2 years and i still cant do solos of metallica. Keep training every day, and some day u will can do this solo. (sorry about my english, im portuguese)

@fbrikman Mate go get the dvd, ive just got the dave gilmour one, you dont need tabs, its as if your sat with them face to face, this series rocks,...they do its slow medium and then to tempo, you cant go wrong trust me, gud luk mate.

What about the less known metallica songs? Do you have DVDs that include them too? For example, a few Metallica songs like Ronnie, 2x4, Breadfan, Mechanix (aka Four horsemen), Damage Inc etc.. Or some DVD that has ALL Metallica only songs?

Hey, I hve a same config strat....... i am lukin to replace the neck pickup with a s-c sized humbucker. I am lukin fr a fairly high output pickup fr it.....
i'd really appreciate if u cn suggest me a good pickup model...... also would like to know a few things i must consider before buying the new pickup

3 months and trying this yikes man :) , i had my guitars a year and a bit been playin properly for around 7 months and this is still hard granted im gonna start on this either today or tomorrow and i know for a fact this for me will take hours and hours to learn off even at this speed to full speed i could do certain sections but the whole thing oh well i hope in the next few weeks il nail this :)
