Love the chilly mornings. Man you were really burning though the miles. Such a beautiful ride. I know when I travel alone I love the gear bed. Just nice to lay everything out.
in July I rode from Orlando, FL to Statesville,NC to ride a few days. did part of the blue ridge and back of the dragon and back to Orlando. the whole ride was a great piece of mind of wind therapy
I rode there this summer I rode I-90 to 87 avoided nyc and the congestion of northern NJ a bit longer route but great county for most of the ride. I hate running through NYC on my bike
Wait to see the second day in mountains guess be Ben 3 day I get us way off the beaten path where we don't see another vehicle for long time .lots of mountains back roads way back and vehicle we do find it's mini van where this going 15 mph and believe me she was all up on the wheel .
Man that is some cool weather to be riding and having to use bulky gloves is the worst part. That area of the eastern us is so far the best place to be. Love those smoky mountains and views all around.
We didn't see him make it in we was probably in the Harley store across bridge the walk over to get ice cream but place closed at 530 it was just 530 . And what looking the had back of dragon stickers.
@@BikesBeardsAndBrews lol pretty much... I'm slam dunked in between 2 nursing homes. It's a old yankee town for sure. The retirement/ nursing homes are like a 5 star hotel resort. It has a pizza bar!
Nicely done; that’s a heck of a haul. I typically share your sentiment about trailering a bike, but I found sometimes there’s justification. A few months ago I drove my kids to South Carolina to visit family. Since I couldn’t haul two kids 1,000 miles with me on my naked bike, I trailered the bike there. I left the kids with my mother in South Carolina and I rode my bike up to NC to ride Tail of the Dragon, Cherohala Parkway, and Moonshiner 28. 🤷🏼♂️ I’ll won’t apologize for trailering my bike there nor will I apologize for ditching my kids with family so I could go ride. 😆
Small world I just made it back from Charlotte about an hour ago. It was for work and I had to fly though… so did you get a chance to hit the tail of the dragon?
@@BikesBeardsAndBrewsVery cool! Not sure how far west you’re headed, but the moon shine tasting in Gatlinburg is a good time. Let me know if you’re around Nashville or Memphis and I’ll drag out the ole street glide. Safe travels buddy. 👍
@@BikesBeardsAndBrews Well the move yes, but I'd be surprised if you rode a motorbike across the Atlantic (or the Pacific if you'd like to make it even harder for yourself). The joke in here is that 1000km is only about 600miles - less distance for the same number. Since I am from Europe, I usually need a moment to realise that your 1k is more than my 1k, if that makes sense.

That's really it tear through the miles and get to my destination so I can get on with doing what I wanted to do in the first place
Great to see another Boston rider on the tube! I’m in Dorchester.
Hell ya! Shoot me a message on IG and lets ride
Well done,
I've ridden a few iron butts from Boston as well. I love that area for riding and Wheels thru time museum is awesome too.
Wheels through Time is absolutely amazing and that video will be coming up in the next week or two. Keep an eye out!!
I like the shaved head Tiger! Schnitts creek! NC is absolutely beautiful! Good stuff Ben!
Yeah, the shaped head definitely makes summer a whole lot easier, especially with the helmets but I'll be growing the hair back soon enough

Absolutely, without a doubt it's just an amazing place to ride
NC Represent! I love living in NC.
I lived there for a year. It's nice to visit but I don't think I could see myself moving back
@@BikesBeardsAndBrews Fair enough. Nowhere is everybody's cup of tea.
The ride to Cherokee is beautiful!
Right?!?
@@BikesBeardsAndBrews I hope you were able to capture some of the tunnels and those corkscrews.

Yeah, running through New York is always a crap shoot and usually you end up losing. I totally feel you there. it's very unpleasant

So many slow people but man I love them mountains
As always Ben you burn the miles to get to destination.. crazy man🤪🫠👍
But Fun that you share your ride alongs👍😀
I just like to get to where I want to be. That's all

I absolutely love the riding in that area. But yeah the weather was something else. It's really the first time I wasn't down there sweating non-stop

@@BikesBeardsAndBrews yea
That’s a long ride.. Well done!
It is but it would suck breaking it up into multiple stops so I'd rather just get to where I want to be
I live in Cary NC! Welcome to my State :) it's been really nice down here.
Wait so you live in the containment area for relocated Yankees?!? I lived in Raleigh-Durham for like a year

I dont like bulky gloves either! Feel like I don't have control of the bike.
I actually have rain mittens that are even worse than this. So if I had to pick between the two...
That's a long day. That ride on I-81 in Virginia seems like it will never end. lol
Wait it does end? I'm pretty sure I'm still on it

No problem, thanks for the great company!
I came in late got start it over
Geez, you got to set your alarm man!
I 100% misread that gas station sign. Several times. "You can name something that?!"
It's absolutely hilarious. Some of the like wordplay down there
He was pretty done when he got to hotel
I was absolutely done so ready for bed
Big Miles Wish I had the health to do that anymore...
You've got nothing to prove my dude, enjoy the ride!
Never met Doyle but if he is anything like what his videos, he is a party of one LOL
Doyle is definitely entertaining and fun to be around
17 hours of straight riding would kill me lol
No, it's fine. Everything's fine. It's fine
I just got back from Charlotte! No riding though 👎 😂
You went to Charlotte and you didn't even ride. Why even go? 😂
Maryland= Blink and you miss it.😅
Yeah it definitely went by really quick. Usually Maryland is one of my destinations so I'm there a whole lot longer than that
If you'd like to make your 1k in a day easier, move to Europe 😀
That sounds like way more than a 1k
