Secularism doesn't mean Islamic supremacy. The problem is the people who think they know everything , they are been questioned about their knowledge that's why they feel india is no longer secular

It was she who reduced it to Hindu vs Muslim debate, by suppressing facts and providing a version which would appease a certain section of people, and completely suppress and to the extent f shamelessly supressing the long illustrious history of various Indina kings.
(the absence of her brethren in 2010 Ayodhya judgement is very well documented in the judgement itself.)
She herself perpetuated the divide by backing the ideas of colonialists and made India a prime example of Post-Colonial state,.
Now when confronted by other Historians, academics, instead of defending her work and manuscripts, she is playing the same old technique of preaching, rather than standing by her works.
No wonder we still have a colonial indset as education has made us believe what British envisioned of India.
And studying Ancinet Indina History from an Anglacised historians, is similar to a Nazi teaching Human Rights to Jews

Romila Thapar was recently invited to debates, but I have never seen her in one. No matter what she says in her written commentary here, I still think she needs to accept that her view of history is not the only one and that there are other true perspectives as well. She is supporter of colonialism and the Aryan invasion theory. We all need to live in harmony in any country including India. Those who claim that India is secular and that the Muslims that remained in India and did not want to join Pakistan should bear in my mind the following fact: 97% Muslims voted in favour of the Muslim League for Pakistan Creation, but 50% of them chose to stay back Post Partition.
What are U even talking about.
So what do you want to say. Now we have more Muslims in India than Pakistan so you want to further divide the country or make a single unit or to say vehemently Akhand Bharat . I am in favor of Akhand Bharat including Afghanistan so that we can live without any dispute with our neighbors.

The principal differences between Hindu and Hindutwa is non violence & violence respectively.
While Hindu's are there from time immemorial but Hindutwa was born in 1925.
Hindutwa is simple "Essence of Hindu Teachings".
You can call it Hinduism, The "Ism" is a Foreign Word added by British. In Sanskrit, The "Ism" is called "Tatva" so shortened to "Tva". So "Essence of Hindu" = Hindu + Tatwa = Hindutwa = Hinduiusm.
Our Hindu Gods were not Pacifist like Gandhi or Jesus, They carry Weapons to Slaughter the Wicked and Evil Forces while upholding "Dharma" (Righteous Code) and Protecting the Weak and Innocent.

Have people noticed that all the attacks on this historian consist of name-calling and abuse, not engagement with the substance of her argument, which people are free to find fault with, as long as they pinpoint what about it they disagree with and why? Only badly brought-up toddlers call each other names without offering a concrete, substantial reason that can be cross-checked for its validity.

So, Yudhishthir learnt Satya, ahimsa from Asoka. You should take up a mission of reviewing and rewriting ancient Indian literature for enlightening Indians. Many historians proved that one need not have even basic skills of Sanskrit or Pali language still you can become a prominent historian of ancient India. Keep going. No pun intended.
