I’m so glad to find this recipe.
I’m just starting to learn how to cook Indian food and don’t have a lot of the spices that most dal recipes call for.
But I do have all the spices that you use except for the button chili so hopefully it will turn out well.
    So thanks so much 💕☺️

I would 100% recommend this recipe. I made daal for the first time ever in my life using this recipe ( I didnt even know the names/color etc of daal before) and havent stopped making daal ever since then, thanks to this recipe. It is perfect every single time. I skip the tomatoes though. Thank you for such quick, easy and delicious recipe.

Hi, for the cup measurement do you use the American cups? The ones you use for baking? The daal was absolutely delicious. Thank you

If I’m using just Masoor daal, can I give it only 5 minutes pressure cook?

Hi Lejla! For this recipe, I would just use 1 cup of red lentils. It should be just as good. Enjoy! 🙂

Unexpected that the spices are not fried.
