The reveal for the rebirth of this crazy 808 Wagon will be revealed in January. Where? I’m going to let you keep guessing.
Still pinching myself that the OG FURSTY has come back home, this car represents a huge turning point in my life, yes we’ve been in a lot of trouble together, lost my licence, seen the impound yard a couple of times, burnt through many sets of Eagers, lots of entertaining whether it be winning SkidFest burnout comps or just your local roundabout, yes I learnt a lot in this car some good some bad, I forsure was actually on a very steep downhill in life and it was at this point of my life I meet my super chick Toni , She taught me to respect, how to live, how to save money if you want something rather than just hustling building and swapping cars every weekend which I had been doing with Rotaries from the age of 14 because they were cheap, easy, loud, fast and most people hated them and having no father in my life me and the boys really were self taught with very little tools, Toni also guided and helped to get myself out of massive debt with the Police, she also believed in me that I could change this driving skill into a career, that was when we both discovered the sport of drifting and I was hooked from the second I saw Fanga & Gaz sliding around Pukekohe race track at 180kmh at the D1NZ Championship. It was at this point Toni and I in 2005 listed and sold everything we had, the TV, the VHS player, packed DVD wallets, Her show winning Benz ‘XBENZV’ and yep this rowdy 13b PP Smurf Blue 808 Wagon Estate all had to go to fund the FD RX7 build known as #MADBUL Near 20years later I find myself in a position able to bring FURSTY back home into the crazy fleet that we’ve been fortunate to build all from having a wild vision with determination and motivation to realise my dreams. Haters say I’m a showoff but my supporters know I just have an addiction to entertain.
For those of you feeling like you’re heading down the wrong path I was in my mid 20’s on a rapid downward spiral getting into a lot of trouble & debt but managed to find the determination to change, If I can turn that around so can you👌🏽, it may just require a person or a thing or even just health that you really just need in life.

This just made my day, as a previous owner of a built miata green rx808 wagon 12a bridgey on 13” modgies…my late teen self says chur bro! I learnt of FURSTY after building that car, and while it was pretty nice after a full 2k panel and paint at keveys in Taka, it didn’t have a 13b PP 😂 but it let me know I made the right choice when choosing a car to build, always rare and cool as hell those wags.🤘🏼

I found Fursty 6 years ago in a car yard in Blenheim, managed to get some cool photos of my 79 Corona next to it. Glad to see its back with the original owner, progress looks awesome!

My grandparents had one my entire childhood ,utterly stock and immaculate. they sold it when I was old enough to drive , I found it a fair few years later , it had been molested and ruined , it killed me , ive never found old blue again . Super jealous and never knew you had one also , much respect Mike. If anyone knows of a Ford blue 808 wagz from SA gimmie back my child hood car please , no wognopoly prices . Wicked man I remember when these used to be common on NZ roads back in the 90's. A mate of mines older brother had a 2 door wagon one of those with a worked 12A in it in Wanganui back in 2003. You never see them anymore :(

Absolutely love this machine reminds me of when I came to NZ worked at partmaster takanini met a guy called Warwick he had a purple 808 on gold simmonds with rx3 front end with a 20b sure the reg was zeroin first ever time seeing a rotary took me out init and I fell in love I’m gutted we don’t have these in uk even have a pic of your rx7 somewhere parked at pukekoke when the NZ v8s were there must of been 10+ years ago
