I bought this CD today! Loving it so far, only ever listened to the Wild Honey stereo mixes on it before.

There's quite a bit to enjoy on it! It's a really nice set with some fun surprises.

@@betamaxblocker After listening to it a few times I can say it’s my favourite of all the late 60s recent sessions! I wish Wake The World was available physically…

This may sound like a dumb question but as the Leid in Hawaii tracks actually are a live rehearsal, are there actual recordings of that 1967 live Hawaii show? I really love the Sunshine Tomorrow set. Great presentation!

      Glad you liked it!
Not a dumb question at all! The actual Hawaii live concerts (which were intended but ultimately rejected as a live album) were recorded on 8/25 and 8/26/1967. Those went right into the archive bin. They are now all available on the 1967-Live Sunshine release.
All of the Lei'd in Hawaii live in studio material was recorded in September of that year. The CD includes a reconstruction of what the live in studio album could have been and some outtakes are on the digital set. Hope that clears things up for you.

I could wrong about this, the song Willd Honey ,is their Ray Manzarek R.I.P from the Doors Influence on that song. Because Bruce Johnson from beachboys plays organ in that Song.

I'm not sure- I could see Manzarek's organ playing being an influence on Johnston's though.

@@betamaxblockerthe organ solo in the wild honey track itself is definitely doors influenced, but idk about the rest of the track yeah, it seems more like a looser pop rock version of good vibrations, like if it were just a typical pop song of the era but retained all the neat instrumentation of 67 like the theremin and lush drums
