I already subscribe to several tech channels but I have to tell you you are the first tech channel I have watched that actually blanks the"OK Google, Alexa and Siri" commands. For that simple HUGE piece of common sense. I'm definitely subscribing. It is so annoying that people don't do that. Heck, Google doesn't do that on their ads!! Thanks for a great video that really makes me feel very informed about my purchase!!
Thank you for all your hard work in creating these videos! Was tempted by the TrackR until I watched your range testing video vs the Chipolo, very nearly purchased the Classic before I spotted the brand new Chipolo One! Well done for being the first one to review these, I've purchased one using your discount code and can't wait to try it out! I'm not much of a technology lover so it should be an interesting experience, if it meets my expectations I'll be purchasing more for friends and family.
I may finally go for this tracker based on your review! I've considered Tile for quite some time but when I read the many negative reviews on Amazon, it changes my mind.
Thank you so much for your review. I have been watching Tile vs Chipolo vs other top 12 bluetooth trackers and I keep coming back to Chipolo. I bought this as a gift for my brother and will likely get one for myself. Thanks for the discount code,I bought the bundle from the Chipolo website, it was cheaper than Amazon.
Please do not use Bluetooth trackers like Chipolo/Tile on outdoor pets or pets you think will run away. Due to the limited range lost pets tend to stay away from people thus a Bluetooth tracker won’t help. I have however reviewed a bunch of pet GPS trackers on the channel. Here’s a playlist -ruclips.net/p/PLFsF_30Yizn_RGxTpe9IaWA72ZwIo-ig9 I personally use FI on my dog. I believe there even a discount code in the video discription still.
Could these devices be covertly installed into a tradespersons drills or tools and used as an anti theft device? Could you track over long distances 10 miles???
If it's hidden & covert, it wouldn't be an anti theft. It would be recovery device after theft. lol Yes, you can hide this, but understand these are bluetooth trackers with bluetooth only. Which has limited range. It DOES NOT have GPS nor does it have any other communication beside bluetooth. Meaning no cell reception. So a bluetooth tracker has to connect to other user's cell phone (otherwise know as crowd finding community), to use their cell phone's GPS and cellular to communicate it's location. (all done anonymously) Thats why they are so cheap, they don't require a cellular connection service plan, and their battery last so long. What you might be thinking about is a GPS tracker, with its own GPS chip and cellular communication. Understand GPS tracker are more expensive, requires a cellular connection plan (monthly, yearly etc.) and their battery life is just a few days. I have reviewed a bunch of them on this channel if you want to learn more - ruclips.net/video/3ZtANNpkeuY/видео.html. For your situation, I doubt the ongoing cost of the GPS tracker will be worth it for drills or other tools. So you'll want to consider bluetooth trackers. This is the smallest one on the market and has the largest crowd finding community. ruclips.net/video/CgOZKQaDXlg/видео.html It only has 1 year battery life and then the entire unit has to be replaced. This chipolo has a two year battery life and it can be replaced but it's bigger. Let me know if you have any other questions.
I guess the only thing missing from this would be the hot/cold that airtag and samsung has. The only thing I see the app can do is having the tag produce a sound but not showing how close the phone is to the tag.
You can turn it off if you want. In the app you’ll see a message to turn it on. You’ll be able to ring your Chipolo still. Understand these are Bluetooth trackers, not GPS trackers. With location services off, you won’t see the last location that your phone connected and you won’t help the community.

I wanted to buy Tile Pro to track a motorcycle if it gets stolen. But then I learned that tracking Tile is dependent on other possible Tile owners being around. That won't work for sure. I live in part of EU where I don't expect any number of Tile owners. How is Chipolo doing in that department? Is it relying on own network of users as well or configuration is different?
Yes all “Bluetooth” trackers work the same way. You want a “GPS tracker” with cellular communication. I have reviewed a bunch on the channel. ruclips.net/p/PLFsF_30Yizn8u_4tWOpcws8Cz1S1Rturr They are more expensive in the long run cause you have to pay for the cellular and the battery life is not even close to what a Bluetooth life is. The biggest Bluetooth tracker is the airtag, which every iPhone, iPad, etc uses will connect and transmits its location. BTW: don’t go after stolen property, just give the information to the police.
Great video, I'm trying to decide on which BT/GPS tracker service is better...do you know whose network has a larger user base community, Chipolo or Tile? I think that would be a huge factor when choosing a brand. Thanks for the info!
@@ModernDayTech Still worth a purchase? I was goign to buy it for my dad. He loses everything. Id like it for his iphone, iwatch, airpods and his wallet. Can i sync all of this with the chipolo? Do i put a physical chip on the airpods?

That's a HUGE BLOW to the credibility of it. I was ready to buy dozen of them for my whole family, but I won't buy none of it until I see many videos showing the feature in action.
There's nothing to film really. It would be inside a car driving away, focused on the phone screen. A few hundred -thousand feet away, you get a notification that you left your Chipolo behind. There's nothing to prove, you'll just have to trust my expertise since I'm pretty much the world's expert on bluetooth trackers. @@ModernDayTech I'd only use it temporarily to find out the places where my cat hangs out outside.. It's water resistant so it should be OK after a night out but not months off bad weather maybe. GPS devices for cats require, last I checked, a pricey one year subscription, overkill for my purpose.
