Suzuki 1400 = Less than 100 miles per tank without reserve and more like 33-37mpg city and 41-45mpg highway. There are a few out there that get more but most of us don't. Blue pipes = too rich, yellow is lean. As for tanks, stock tank is garbage and I really wish there were more options available for this bike. However, I personally am looking at a coyote drop tank to mount to the front of the frame. Looks nice and adds another couple of gallons as a reserve tank. Nice bike. Decent price. Hope you sold it to someone who will love it for years.

Had the same bike. loved it. However big V-twins come at a cost. They aren't great on gas milage and are the WORST for inner city riding. Why? Because they generate so much heat that in stop and go traffic on a Summer day the bike over heats and the clutch eventually fails. Your pipes will turn colors as well because of the excess heat so don't go falling in love with the shiny chrome lol. Reliable and strong and a great highway bike but not for inner city.
I got a 750c.f. for really cheap in good condition. if I knew they made 1400 cc in this model I would of bought. nice bike.

Tupinambis.X Yes, I like mine but I consider it to be more of an around-town bike... my travel bike is a Voyager... much different beast!
The other thing is the stock gas tank is tiny. I mean like less than 100 miles worth. For a cruiser that's stopping a bit too frequently.
