Suggestions on a version to buy for a newbie....I currently do custom racing numbers in a vector software (flexisign) to print/cut on vinyl but want to start offering my customers hats with those same number styles. I just bought my first embroidery machine and overwhelmed at the options (and cost). I really wanted one to automatically convert my eps/pdf file but I don't have a lot of money. But then I also need one to create an outline/shadow on my images....so lost.

Really helpful video - you explain so thoroughly and without waffling - thank you so much. I'm in the process of choosing a
digitising package but as a beginner I need something I can relate to. This is very intuitive, and I think I could get on well with this program. Is there an upgrade option if further down the line I want to add more features, or is it an in depth program anyway? Many Thanks.

Hi Lisa!. I have been using Essentials for a short time and love it. I am wanting to do some "in the hoop" free motion type designs for some of my embroidery. Will SA allow me to do some criss-cross, fans, loop-de-doop type patterns?

when I hit the close my design button it doesn't make a straight line, it makes an arch. What am I doing wrong?

Hi there can you please tell me which format of images can be imported to create a design . Is it svg. JPEG ?

To import a SVG, you need Stitch Artist Two. At SA One, you can import a JPG/PNG to use to trace out your design.
