I'm a beginner with sublimation, and this video has been EXTREMELY helpful! Thank you so much!
Thanks for posting this because you're right about the FB groups. Some of the officious folks laughed at me for not buying a new convection oven. I have an oven that looks just like yours. I've retired it and was about to give it to a charity. Now it's going to be my "craft only" countertop oven.
Thank you so much for this great video and the toaster oven! Sooooo much cheaper than a mug transfer press and you can do as many substrates that will fit in the oven! You’re the best!
Trial and error. No one likes screwing up a good tumbler. With your help, people now know how to do the tumblers.
You're the real deal sir. I wish I could post a picture of my tumbler. I would have put it in the oven for 10-12 minutes which would have caused it to burn. I left it in for 4 minutes and it came out perfectly. I used a glitter tumbler from Walmart to practice with (which isn't for sublimation) and it worked just fine. I used parchment paper and that was scorched but didn't burn it. Your advice is spot on. Thanks for sharing.
Can I ask which glitter tumblers you got at Walmart that work with the sublimation? Thanks so much!!
The reason the glitter tumbler worked is because the glitter is made from polyester. :) A lot of Cricut crafters began putting white glitter vinyl on their cotton shirts and then pressing infusible ink or sublimation prints over the glitter vinyl because the glitter in the vinyl is polyester.
Thanks for cutting straight to the chase. Nobody wants to do 27 steps! Ha. You rock!
I just love watching your videos, I love to learn, and you make it so simple. My son is in the navy so I can’t wait to see how that tumbler turns out. Thanks again, and I got some of your clear shrink wrap.
One of the best videos I’ve seen, thanks for the information, I always thought we had to put so much heat tape.
I bought a couple of your tumbler designs from your Etsy shop, and they were perfect. Thank you.
Thank you for your support
What is the name of his etsy shop?
Thank you for posting this video, I'm new to tumbler making and I wasn't sure if a toaster oven would have worked. Great video
Make sure its a convection oven
thats pretty cool never thought of that ! afraid to use the cup press lol
I have to thank you for this video. I followed your guideline and every tumbler came out perfect! Thank you so much 😊
I followed your video instructions and used a plain piece of paper in the exact same toaster oven; my paper burnt after a minute! I had to take out the tumbler and put in a piece of parchment. Other than that; I love your video! Thank you for sharing this beautiful craft!!!
Thanks Juan. As I said the other night, I just bought the Epson ET - 4700 to get into this, so all videos are welcome. I need to learn from others. Love the cheap oven.
I use a conventional over and I do my tumblers at 375 degrees for 6 mins with air fry setting also. I don't use the shrink wrap because the first time I use them it popped off and burnt the tumbler cause I left it in for too long because I had a smaller oven.. I do have a problem with ghosting at the bottom of my tumblers I was thinking cutting the shrink wrap in half and use them at the bottom of my tumblers to get that extra pressure.
I just bought the same oven from walmart. I thought I had to rotate it as some other people do but I see that you didn't so I'm going to try it the way you did it with the shrink wrap. Great video and showing the differences with the shrink wrap
did you tried already? how did it turn out?
Do u have it on “turbo” settings?
@@mimiluv9283 he does.
Your tumblers are amazing. I went to your store, but I did not see the wraps. Thank you for sharing.
your videos are always fun to watch and also tell your niece thank you for her service!!! I have a nephew who is a Seal
The tumblers looked amazing!
Thank you! You made it easy to understand and less intimidating! Can’t wait to see what else you create!
Dude you are a legend thank you for all your help 🙏✌️
I really like how tight the shrink wrap gets vs when I use a silicone wrap
I love the navy one my husband is retired navy doc
You sir have made more common sense on this sublimation with shrink wrap, tape, etc., that is out there. And yes!!!! you don't have to tape the crap out of them when using shrink wrap. I hope you get more folks to watch this as it will save them a ton of headaches and money on tape.
I have this oven. Worked great for a year. Now my mugs are overbaked and the temperature isn't even to high. I just made tumblers a couple months ago. Now the latest mugs. Same case as before. Even at 350 the black letters are brown. The fan still runs but maybe not as fast?
So glad I found your video. I just purchased this same convection oven. Thanks for illustrating!!
been watching lots of tutorials & excited to do my first one tumbler 🤗
I didn't think to put paper down. Thanks for the video...and nice jacket that you're wearing in this video.
You were made to make YT videos! Excellent tutorial!!! Thanks so much!!!
I just got a convection oven. Was wondering how long to leave my tumblers in before they are ready. Thank you for the video. Blessings to you!
Good to know ! Thanks 😊
Thanks
So just a question, the shrink wrap purpose is to just apply pressure to the design? Is that correct?
That was great I have a oven I don't use iam going to try this.
How did yours turn out ? I have this oven but I think I baked mine too long. Now that I have seen this video. I will time mine less
Yes thank you so much :-)
I thank you for this video. I want to offer tumblers but I wasn't sure how my toaster oven would do. I also wanted to see the shrink wrap.
Have a question maybe a dumb one ....... what about the seem on d design like could you do one with a black design around the whole tumbler to see how it looks 🤔
Did u use turbo setting?
Can u tell me size and brand of your oven . Bought one to small
I followed your method and my tumbler turned out good. Still need to learn to get the seam to be seamless.
Did you do that 4 minutes and then turn it so it would heat evenly or just keep it in there at 4 mins total?
Btw- I just bought the same convection oven and everyone on this Facebook group said it was not a good one to use - I was so bummed - after seeing ur video - I’m going to keep it 👍🏼
As you can see on my videos, the oven works good or at least I have not had any problems with it.
Can you share the name of the oven please?. Thank you

Is this a regular toaster oven
I am so happy to find this video. I am a newbie.
You said 4 minutes at 375 degrees but your oven in the video is set on 425 degrees. Please let me know if that's an error???? What should the oven be set on???
Dude your daughter is in daycare now wasn't she born yesterday wow God bless you guys
Would be kind of hard to teach a newborn 🤣
(newbie here) .... in the beginning when you were putting the shrink wrap on the tumblrs .... what were you using to heat them up?
What kind of paper did you lay in the oven
Awesome. You make it look so easy 😍
This video is life. Thank you for sharing
Love them! How do you get the images so clear on colored tumblers? I tried it on mine but the images came out faded
What type or brand oven I’m confused as to just a plain toaster oven or convection oven
What material used and where you buy
Thanks for this great video. Have you tried sublimating on beer can glasses?
cool video juan tumblers look great
Thank you for the tutorial, this is the oven I was thinking of getting, does it smell/let of "fumes" when baking? I have heard from some people that it has fumes, but others say it doesn't
yes you can smell it
I have never used the shrink wrap, in the oven do you have to use it? or can you just use butcher paper?
Another question, where do you get your tumblers? The colored one is beautiful.
alibaba
Yes...where did u get the metallic colored tumbler ..love it
@@yvettediaz3857 bananas&pickles.com but the metalic ones are not that great
What paper did u use because mine burnt on those settings
I bought this same oven. Is the circulating fan pretty quiet? Mine is. Just making sure this was normal for this oven.
Very nice. Your videos are so inspiring and helpful. Question… was that regular printer paper u put on the rack ? Also, was it 385 for 4 min? Will that work for any tumbler? Thanks in advance 😊
Wondering this as well, hope you get answers.
Be careful that is hot I need to get that oven thank you for the video
Thank you for the video it was awesome couple questions what setting do you put it on?
And where did you get the glitter tumblers I can't find the anywhere?
Also how do I order shrink wrap ?
What tosses did you buy at Walmart
Is there any reason why you don’t let the cups cool down more before handling?
Do you turn your tumbler
Awsome cups, can't wait to see the navy one when it's done
Hi, could you tell me what oven that is that you bought at wal mart? I really want to make sure I get the right one. Thanks
He shows it at the end
Oster convection oven
i can find this oven. i dont know what kind to buy
Looks like you have it down to a science. Where did you get your heat gun from?
I cant find the shrink wrap on your etsy store? Are you just out?
So what’s the time for the oven? You say 375 but the oven is set past 400?
WOW! They look really great!
Hello could you provide the link to the oven I looked it up but other ovens are coming up! Thank you for this information
this is the link for amazon amzn.to/2NuVHj4 I got it cheaper at walmart
What are those liner things called and where can find them
Where do you buy your supplies from? The tumblers? Shrink wrap?
we get them from alibaba (China)
What kind of white paper did you put down in the oven and laid the tumblers on top of?
I used those shrink wraps and it stuck to the cup! Do you have any idea why?
Where do you buy your tumblers.
Did you turn them in the oven? Also, is the paper you used in the oven just printing paper?
how does it cook toast ?
Can you write the brand name of the oven please. I cannot open the link on the description. Thank you
I will try your suggestion. It sounds like I was definitely using too high of temperature and baking for too long. (Following the directions of the wholesaler that sells water bottles and tumblers.) I have tried getting the wrap off hot, cold and in between. It horrible! !!!! Where did you purchase your temperature gun. (not heat Gun) Thank you for your great hints.
Lowes or home depot
Can I use blow dryer instead the one u use in the shrink wrap?
Takes much longer
I purchased your white shrink wraps on Etsy, I have the exact same toaster oven, have my settings to turbo, 400 degrees and turning after 1:15 because the shrink wrap starts to melt and then the paper starts to burn... I don't understand because I can't have them in for no more than 2:30 :(
check the temperature on your oven because the shrink wraps are not supposed to burn at one minute and fifteen seconds
Ty for the video ! So why do people say to turn the tumblers every two minutes?
I have no idea why they do that is not like heat just sits on one side right? Lol
Do you not turn yours half way in oven?
Thank you but one question. Does the oven have to be a convection oven?
No it does not but convection ovens work better since they circulate the heat though out the oven better than regular or toaster ovens.
Could the shrink wrap method be used with say fabric stuck to a wood board.... I want to use 3d printer heating beds to heat transfer on larger surfaces than I have room for in terms of heat press
so once the shrink wrap get hot they become very sticky and they might or will stick to the fabric making it almost impossible to get it off.
Did you do this 4 minutes and then turn it so it would heat evenly or just keep it in there at 4 mins total?
Awesome! What tumblers do you recommend that are best to use cx
Awesome work love it. I have a question can I use a canon inkjet printer to print on paper
Yes as long as you use sublimation ink
Do you rotate the tumblers at all or just leave them in the same position for the full 4 minutes?
I just leav them in the same position
Can you sublimate straight to the stainless or does it have to be a powder coated cup?
it has to be coated with polyester in order to be sublimated
@@LibertyGraphicDesigns i may have missed it but where do you get your cups from?
@@theaaronritter9513 alibaba I also sell them on my etsy store
OMG thank you so much for this video!! For first time i tried 2 tumblers and want to cry but your video give a better idea, definitely will try tomorrow again !!!! my setting was wrong . what paper do you use inside? (butcher paper?)
I bought 4 tumblers and now I understand that I need a separate oven is that correct? so I can not use my tumblers at home? can I use Epson L1350 for sublimation?
Hello. I am just beginning to get into sublimation tumblers. I put the convection oven at 400 degrees and keep it in for 6 mins. My tumblers are burning and the image isn’t even transferring onto the tumbler. I have no idea what I’m doing wrong. I have watched many many many of these RUclips’s and it seems like I’m doing everything right. Is the level too hot?
no is not too hot, are you using sublimation ink and is your tumbler sublimation ready? in order for sublimation to work, you need to use sublimation ink, sublimation paper and your substrate has to be sublimation ready otherwise it will not work. if you're using a regular printer with regular ink it wont work
@@LibertyGraphicDesigns thank you for your reply. I have sublimation ink and an epson 700 series printer. I have the sublimation paper as well. I’ve ruined 3 sublimation tumblers and I’m not sure why, 😔
@@auroralight9696 are the tumblers sublimation? Did you get them at Amazon?
Do you prefer the white or plastic shrink wrap?
Do you have a list of supplies?
Can you use the toaster coventional oven or your household oven for food after using it for tumblers? Is it safe to use for both?
NO, it is not safe
New to all of this! Can you send links for the clear and white wraps you use in this video? Thanks for your time!
