Thank you so much for this great video and the toaster oven! Sooooo much cheaper than a mug transfer press and you can do as many substrates that will fit in the oven! You’re the best!
I just love watching your videos, I love to learn, and you make it so simple. My son is in the navy so I can’t wait to see how that tumbler turns out. Thanks again, and I got some of your clear shrink wrap.
I'm a beginner with sublimation, and this video has been EXTREMELY helpful! Thank you so much!
One of the best videos I’ve seen, thanks for the information, I always thought we had to put so much heat tape.
Thanks Juan. As I said the other night, I just bought the Epson ET - 4700 to get into this, so all videos are welcome. I need to learn from others. Love the cheap oven.
Thanks for posting this because you're right about the FB groups. Some of the officious folks laughed at me for not buying a new convection oven. I have an oven that looks just like yours. I've retired it and was about to give it to a charity. Now it's going to be my "craft only" countertop oven.
So glad I found your video. I just purchased this same convection oven. Thanks for illustrating!!
I have to thank you for this video. I followed your guideline and every tumbler came out perfect! Thank you so much 😊
Thank you! You made it easy to understand and less intimidating! Can’t wait to see what else you create!
your videos are always fun to watch and also tell your niece thank you for her service!!! I have a nephew who is a Seal
I followed your video instructions and used a plain piece of paper in the exact same toaster oven; my paper burnt after a minute! I had to take out the tumbler and put in a piece of parchment. Other than that; I love your video! Thank you for sharing this beautiful craft!!!
The tumblers looked amazing!
Dude you are a legend thank you for all your help 🙏✌️
been watching lots of tutorials & excited to do my first one tumbler 🤗
Trial and error. No one likes screwing up a good tumbler. With your help, people now know how to do the tumblers.
I really like how tight the shrink wrap gets vs when I use a silicone wrap
Thank you for posting this video, I'm new to tumbler making and I wasn't sure if a toaster oven would have worked. Great video
Make sure its a convection oven
I didn't think to put paper down. Thanks for the video...and nice jacket that you're wearing in this video.
Awesome. You make it look so easy 😍
You were made to make YT videos! Excellent tutorial!!! Thanks so much!!!
Your tumblers are amazing. I went to your store, but I did not see the wraps. Thank you for sharing.
WOW! They look really great!
Awsome cups, can't wait to see the navy one when it's done
I bought a couple of your tumbler designs from your Etsy shop, and they were perfect. Thank you.
Thank you for your support
What is the name of his etsy shop?
I thank you for this video. I want to offer tumblers but I wasn't sure how my toaster oven would do. I also wanted to see the shrink wrap.
Thanks for cutting straight to the chase. Nobody wants to do 27 steps! Ha. You rock!
cool video juan tumblers look great
I love the navy one my husband is retired navy doc
I just got a convection oven. Was wondering how long to leave my tumblers in before they are ready. Thank you for the video. Blessings to you!
Super helpful video! Thank you!
You sir have made more common sense on this sublimation with shrink wrap, tape, etc., that is out there. And yes!!!! you don't have to tape the crap out of them when using shrink wrap. I hope you get more folks to watch this as it will save them a ton of headaches and money on tape.
Good to know ! Thanks 😊
You're the real deal sir. I wish I could post a picture of my tumbler. I would have put it in the oven for 10-12 minutes which would have caused it to burn. I left it in for 4 minutes and it came out perfectly. I used a glitter tumbler from Walmart to practice with (which isn't for sublimation) and it worked just fine. I used parchment paper and that was scorched but didn't burn it. Your advice is spot on. Thanks for sharing.
Can I ask which glitter tumblers you got at Walmart that work with the sublimation? Thanks so much!!
The reason the glitter tumbler worked is because the glitter is made from polyester. :) A lot of Cricut crafters began putting white glitter vinyl on their cotton shirts and then pressing infusible ink or sublimation prints over the glitter vinyl because the glitter in the vinyl is polyester.
Looks good Juan thanks
Be careful that is hot I need to get that oven thank you for the video
I use a conventional over and I do my tumblers at 375 degrees for 6 mins with air fry setting also. I don't use the shrink wrap because the first time I use them it popped off and burnt the tumbler cause I left it in for too long because I had a smaller oven.. I do have a problem with ghosting at the bottom of my tumblers I was thinking cutting the shrink wrap in half and use them at the bottom of my tumblers to get that extra pressure.
This video is life. Thank you for sharing
I really appreciate this video! So helpful
I just bought the same oven from walmart. I thought I had to rotate it as some other people do but I see that you didn't so I'm going to try it the way you did it with the shrink wrap. Great video and showing the differences with the shrink wrap
did you tried already? how did it turn out?
Do u have it on “turbo” settings?
@@mimiluv9283 he does.
thats pretty cool never thought of that ! afraid to use the cup press lol
That was great I have a oven I don't use iam going to try this.
How did yours turn out ? I have this oven but I think I baked mine too long. Now that I have seen this video. I will time mine less
Thank you. Great video!
I am so happy to find this video. I am a newbie.
Great video!
Yes thank you so much :-)
I followed your method and my tumbler turned out good. Still need to learn to get the seam to be seamless.
Did you do that 4 minutes and then turn it so it would heat evenly or just keep it in there at 4 mins total?
Great tutorial
Awesome video
OMG thank you so much for this video!! For first time i tried 2 tumblers and want to cry but your video give a better idea, definitely will try tomorrow again !!!! my setting was wrong . what paper do you use inside? (butcher paper?)
Is there any reason why you don’t let the cups cool down more before handling?
Thank you for the video!!
My son is in the National Guard making a tumbler for him which is why I am watching this right now!!
I have this oven. Worked great for a year. Now my mugs are overbaked and the temperature isn't even to high. I just made tumblers a couple months ago. Now the latest mugs. Same case as before. Even at 350 the black letters are brown. The fan still runs but maybe not as fast?
Dude your daughter is in daycare now wasn't she born yesterday wow God bless you guys
Would be kind of hard to teach a newborn 🤣
Thanks
Thank you for the tutorial, this is the oven I was thinking of getting, does it smell/let of "fumes" when baking? I have heard from some people that it has fumes, but others say it doesn't
yes you can smell it
Beautiful 😍
Great videos. I just ordered some wraps from you.
Do you prefer the white or plastic shrink wrap?
Thank you for the video it was awesome couple questions what setting do you put it on?
And where did you get the glitter tumblers I can't find the anywhere?
Also how do I order shrink wrap ?
I bought this same oven. Is the circulating fan pretty quiet? Mine is. Just making sure this was normal for this oven.
So just a question, the shrink wrap purpose is to just apply pressure to the design? Is that correct?
That's the little oven i have.
Do u preheat it till it gets to 475?
Y usted hace muy buen trabajo con los vasos salen bien bonitos gracias por sus consejos
Gracias a usted!!!
I love your videos! They are so helpful!!
I have never used the shrink wrap, in the oven do you have to use it? or can you just use butcher paper?
What size is the shrink wrap? It's not listed on your etsy listing under item description
Did you do this 4 minutes and then turn it so it would heat evenly or just keep it in there at 4 mins total?
Awesome! What tumblers do you recommend that are best to use cx
The all look good. But iblove the navy one best.
Love them! How do you get the images so clear on colored tumblers? I tried it on mine but the images came out faded
Thanks for the video
Did you turn them in the oven? Also, is the paper you used in the oven just printing paper?
What kind of white paper did you put down in the oven and laid the tumblers on top of?
how does it cook toast ?
Btw- I just bought the same convection oven and everyone on this Facebook group said it was not a good one to use - I was so bummed - after seeing ur video - I’m going to keep it 👍🏼
As you can see on my videos, the oven works good or at least I have not had any problems with it.
Can you share the name of the oven please?. Thank you
@@karladepaz5539 Oster convection oven $45 at walmart
@@karladepaz5539 try the link again I just updated it
Thanks for this great video. Have you tried sublimating on beer can glasses?
Is your oven a convection oven? Or regular toaster oven?
where did you get the toaster oven from?
I used those shrink wraps and it stuck to the cup! Do you have any idea why?
Can you add a name in vinyl after you sublimate the tumbler?
Do you rotate the tumblers at all or just leave them in the same position for the full 4 minutes?
I just leav them in the same position
I bought 4 tumblers and now I understand that I need a separate oven is that correct? so I can not use my tumblers at home? can I use Epson L1350 for sublimation?
What did u have it on for the function ?
Can you write the brand name of the oven please. I cannot open the link on the description. Thank you
Where did you get the shrink wrap?
Also, do you know if they’re microwave and dish washer safe? And while creating your sublimation design, do you use “mirror” image for printing?
no is not recommended to put them in the dishwasher or microwave. if you have a true sublimation printer you do not have to mirror the image if you have a regular printer that was converted to sublimation you do have to mirror the image
I tried my first sublimation tumbler it was almost perfect and it got burned on one side but im sure if i can fix it wahhh
Where do you purchase your tumblers?
thanks for telling my tip I gave to you lol nice job Juan thanks for sharing stay safe and Bless
(newbie here) .... in the beginning when you were putting the shrink wrap on the tumblrs .... what were you using to heat them up?
Thanks for all pointers, question I have same oven do you set it on “heat” “turbo” “bake” settings??
I have mine set at turbo
Looks like you have it down to a science. Where did you get your heat gun from?
Very nice. Your videos are so inspiring and helpful. Question… was that regular printer paper u put on the rack ? Also, was it 385 for 4 min? Will that work for any tumbler? Thanks in advance 😊
Wondering this as well, hope you get answers.
Could the shrink wrap method be used with say fabric stuck to a wood board.... I want to use 3d printer heating beds to heat transfer on larger surfaces than I have room for in terms of heat press
so once the shrink wrap get hot they become very sticky and they might or will stick to the fabric making it almost impossible to get it off.
So what’s the time for the oven? You say 375 but the oven is set past 400?
I will try your suggestion. It sounds like I was definitely using too high of temperature and baking for too long. (Following the directions of the wholesaler that sells water bottles and tumblers.) I have tried getting the wrap off hot, cold and in between. It horrible! !!!! Where did you purchase your temperature gun. (not heat Gun) Thank you for your great hints.
Lowes or home depot
What’s brand shrink wrap is this ? Sorry for all the questions
Where do you get your sub tumblers
so the navy cup is it treated for sublimation or you just used it as is? Do cups have to be treated for sublimation or can just be printed white?
yes it is treated for sublimation, yes they do have to treated in order to be sublimated otherwise it will not work or the ink will not stick to the cup, also, the ink has to be sublimation ink regular ink just don't do the trick.
