I had done the same and the wife was not happy about the ride without the sway bar, lol. I went with the Addco 1” myself. Handles great and can take a curve as good as stock. From what I saw on yours , those links are not long enough for the lift. Too much upward angle. If you think about flexing at that angle they could give you a real headache. That’s why I ordered the links from IRO for the 8” lift , which is my lift height. That makes the sway bar ends almost straight out , not on a harsh angle like yours are presently. I was also able to completely do away with the spacers at the unibody.
I have been looking for links but couldn't find the length. What is the max length on the IRO? The ones I used are 13 inches from center of bolt holes. I don't like the spacers and it did restrict on flex, I have some metal I am planning on extending them. Taking it on the hard trail I failed on last time tomorrow, and will be disconnecting the. Hopefully, we make it tomorrow. I'll make a video, but it will take me time to edit, I'll post live picture tomorrow on IG, If you would like to see if we make it. Thank you.
@@g_packventures I will measure mine so you have an idea and send that to you. Iron Rock has them for whatever size lift height you would need. I’ll send it on your IG.
A great video . I purchased the same one off Amazon and really like it. Also got their adjustable rear lower & front upper control arms. subscribed ✅🇺🇸
Ill make a video on everything in a couple weeks. A lot has changed since this video because im hitting harder trail. But here are some of the basics. Ill come up with a better list for next video.Front spring are Clayton 6inch duel rates.with 2inch spacers Rear spring are rusty's 6inch HD spring. With 2inch pacer. Front lower long arms are rusty's xj high clearance control arms. Upper control arm are ebay 100 dollar ones that bolt up to my lowers. I have KT OTK steering with trail forged track bar bracket, RC track bar and RC sway bar links. The rear lower arms are ebay ones, and stock upper with a trim. DIY rear sway bar links. Carolina drive line front drive shaft.
@Spoof2k3 sorry for the late response, but measuring from the behind the upper ball joint, I'm at 4.20 degrees, and it rides great, returns the wheel, and no death wobble.
@g_packventures .Nice...I'm on a 6.5 long arm lift and set it at 4 and was a VAST improvement...I'm thinking of maybe trying 3 and see if that helps my pinion angle enough to stop the slight driveshaft vibration I have...it's really tough to hit that sweet spot for handling AND driveline angle since there really isn't enough degrees of separation between the caster and pinion angle...the only way to solve the problem completely is to find a front axle with more separation...they are out there and it CAN be done.
@Spoof2k3 Yes I played a lot with the caster because I did not want my springs to have a bow on them. But I also went with a double cardan drive shaf to avoid vibrations specially because I dint want to ad a tcase drip kit.
Did you have any problems with the sway bar? I just mounted mine, its supposed to be the same one but the bushings on the bar aren't even tight when bolted and one bushing already popped out. And the bar was wider than the stock bar so the sway bar ext links are pulled out pretty hard.
Negative, I didn't use the OE links. I've been beating it up on the rocks and all the bushing have been good. The bushings isn't super tight but tight enough that nothing moves or pops out.
@g_packventures thanks for the reply. Can you get a measurement of how wide the bar is? Mine is 44" and it pushed the sway bar links out pretty far and puts them in a bind now.

Did you do the diy lift with metalcloak springs? If so, what else did you use? Is there a list somewhere. Id like a good cheap lift diy style.

Would this work as a stock rear sway bar upgrade or is the bar specific for lifts
Yes, it will work with stock sway bar links.
Diff. cover protection, when you’re doing trails in reverse…
What angle did you set your front caster at ?

Did you post any parts on eBay yet ?
Yes. www.ebay.com/usr/mustangboy1988 . If anyone wants any parts, I'll do a decent price.
When you disconnect them, seems like you'd have to remove them completely without them interfering with your suspension components.
Check out the next video. I made a disconnect for it because it does cause flex restriction. It's working so far. Thank you for watching
