I bought my hobby 1142 while living in the UK some years ago now. Thankfully I found your wonderful video instructions a few days ago. I can now auto thread my needle easily, which I was having difficulty doing with my poor sight, and now on to buttonholes. Thank you so much Cath for wonderful instructions.

Just use light pressure with your foot to go slow, the harder you press the faster you will sew
