That’s awesome. I didn’t know about the arcade. Thanks for sharing! The French toast is still available at Kona Cafe and at Captain Cook’s, both in the lobby.
I think it was already mentioned but at least when I was there in 2022, Tangaroa Terrace was being used as office space. I went to do my laundry there and couldn’t find the room. One of the cast members working in the building was nice enough to help me, I think I accidentally walked into an area I wasn’t supposed to be in. Nothing interesting to report though, just office stuff.
We haven’t seen the sombrero area at Epcot for quite some time. I haven’t seen it in years. It used to be in Mexico near where they have the performers now.
Tangarora’s pretty much a designated cast events center for the resort. It’s janky that it can’t reopen to guests because a lot of fans have wanted it to come back, cast included. :( Muppets overall is safe for now. If anything happens to Muppets, Disney looses any form of rights to The Muppets as a whole due to their contract. There’s also no space physically to put a monsters inc coaster there. It’s a good skeleton, but not practical.
Very interesting. Thanks for sharing! I’m surprised Disney hasn’t released more info on the Monsters coaster or even the Villains land. Maybe they are waiting until after Epic Universe opens.
If you have a few buildings that are not even there I mean they are there but they are banded I think Disney had they do have lots of money and they could use Discovery Island into a water park or for a theme Park #5 But however Disney World they do have Typhoon Lagoon and Blizzard Beach as two of their water parks so Discovery Island does not have to be a water park I hope they can do something with that and reopen soon because my opinion is any abandoned buildings should be replaced with something theme park#5 there would be nice if they did that
Honestly people can blame Disney all tou want but they are just trying to stay alive in an economy that is quickly getting the rich richer and poor poorer.
Well to be fair Disney has several new expansions in the works. Magic Kingdom’s Frontierland expansion is huge. Animal Kingdom is getting a South America expansion with Indiana Jones and two new hotels are in the works: Polynesian’s DVC tower and tower at Ft Wilderness has been rebooted.

I agree. I private island maybe would be amazing. I saw that building materials are already showing up for Reflections on my last check. Not crazy about the name though.
Discovery Island would nake a nice resort / hotel but being Disney their greed will spoil the experience
The Tangaroa Terrace buffet had awesome cinnamon french toast, it's my one memory of the restaurant. You forgot to mention that there was an arcade there as well (Moana Mickey's Fun Hut) - I have videos from the 80's showing my brother playing a game there. I was sad when it shut down.
That's pretty cool! I'd love to see inside, even if it's just offices.
We haven’t seen the sombrero area at Epcot for quite some time. I haven’t seen it in years. It used to be in Mexico near where they have the performers now.
Oh yea! I forgot about that!
Stop bellyaching. We’ve been going here since the early 80’s. We still enjoy it.
I go every week and I still enjoy it! This is just entertainment. No bellyaching here.
@ that wasn’t directed to you. I love your videos.
Thought it would be a great campground for Boys And Girls Scouts, summer camp for nature explorers.
What a great idea! Maybe theme it to Wilderness Explorers from the movie Up.
#10 could be used as an office or restroom for Disney employees.
Could be. Maybe for the parking lot cast members.
cake shop is open now
You could probably live in the park, they would never know
What about River Country?
That's a good one too. I wish it was still there so I could film it. It was just sitting abandoned for years.
Why would an Aristocats themed restaurant serve gumbo? Wasn’t that supposed to be set in France?
Good point! They were really capitalizing on the “French” in Port Orleans French Quarter!
Tangarora’s pretty much a designated cast events center for the resort. It’s janky that it can’t reopen to guests because a lot of fans have wanted it to come back, cast included. :(
Muppets overall is safe for now.
Where have all the topiaries gone?
There's no shortage of them at Epcot during Flower and Garden lol
I remember them being all over, especially the monorail ride to EPCOT
I worked at the Outpost in the college program!
I miss the muppets the most.
There’s abandoned theatre at Saratoga springs that never opened. Sits there never opened
It was used for theatre workshops and performances when it was still called the Disney Institute. They only later converted it to a DVC resort.
Really? I'm going to look into this. Thanks for the tip!
Just make that a vacation resort. It doesn’t necessarily have to be named of a cartoon or character.
Disney went so DEI and WOKE they drastically veered away from Walt Disney’s ethos.
I wouldn’t give them a dime of my money.
If Disney had a clue, they'd redesign Discovery Island as a new Tom Sawyer Island and utilize asset they have on the property.
Good idea. Kids could play on the island, places for parents chill and hang out. I’m sure that would be popular.
Good thing nobody reads Mark Twain these days or Tom Sawyer's Island would be long gone!
If you have a few buildings that are not even there I mean they are there but they are banded I think Disney had they do have lots of money and they could use Discovery Island into a water park or for a theme Park #5
But however Disney World they do have Typhoon Lagoon and Blizzard Beach as two of their water parks so Discovery Island does not have to be a water park I hope they can do something with that and reopen soon because my opinion is any abandoned buildings should be replaced with something theme park#5 there would be nice if they did that
Disney is and has been going downhill. It has become way too expensive and not as interesting as it used to be to be.
Honestly people can blame Disney all tou want but they are just trying to stay alive in an economy that is quickly getting the rich richer and poor poorer.
Get woke go broke…bob iger
this is crazy... Is this a. "go woke go broke" type of sadness?
I believe Covid is responsible for many of these closures.
@@orlandoparksguythat sucks. :-/
Sounds like Amani Village fell victim to Disney wokeness.
History teaches that all empires eventually fall.
😢such a Shame😢
This just shows how hurting Disney really is. Everything is SO empty. It's sad.
I don't know if I'd go that far, I pulled out a few things for fun. But I don't disagree that attendance is down.
I still hope Elon Musk would buy it
Imagine what he would do with Space Mountain! 🚀
This is only the beginning. While other places like universal, sea world and others are expanding Disneys greed is closing places down
Well to be fair Disney has several new expansions in the works. Magic Kingdom’s Frontierland expansion is huge. Animal Kingdom is getting a South America expansion with Indiana Jones and two new hotels are in the works: Polynesian’s DVC tower and tower at Ft Wilderness has been rebooted.
Disney is so bad it kills itself. Nobody at Disney “leadership” deserves the honor of their supposed positions. As for the cop on the island; WTF is that loser have a drawn weapon for?! Idiot makes other cops look bad.
Disney likes to waste so much valuable space. It is disgusting.
lol, silly comment
They like to waste money on DEI hires and show and movies
