When I was a student in High School I used to hear these Lyrical Pieces by Grieg very often.

Gilels is able to offer us very structured visions, as we can see in sonatas and concertos for instance. Here, he shows us that he is also a poet able to render in a very tiny and exquise way the lyrism of these short pieces, extracted from the eight volumes of lyric pieces of Edvard Grieg.
