my favorite king gizzard song? oh gees... Robot stop gets stuck in my head a lot. crumbling castle. The river. They're all so different it's impossible to choose.
these guys are an inspiration to me, one of the many reasons i'm learning guitar/bass favorite album is a triple tie between mind fuzz, polygondwanaland, and fishing for fishies
It actually got me fucked up when I realized that the album cover for Murder of the Universe is showing the same mountain in Nonagon and Mind Fuzz, just being taken over by a giant vomit monster
Polygondwanaland in its entirety - especially from Horology through to The Fourth Colour 💖 Also, honourable mention for Hantyumi and the Murder of the Universe 🤘🤘🤘
Awesome video! I don't think I've seen a video about king gizz that talks about their formation so that was pretty cool. As for my favorite song, it's hard, but I'd go with I'm In Your Mind. Every time I hear those first 4 drumstick clicks at the beginning I'm instantly engaged.
@@evanmurphy6640 fair point, irish might have been the wrong word, Celtic Metal? yeah, that's it, i think they could experiment with that, would be an absolute banger
@@willsworldofmusic3201 always nice to discover a new band to find they've got 15 other excellent albums to enjoy. If you haven't heard of Thee Oh Sees I recommend checking them out next 👍
Slow jam 1 is my favorite thus far. That’s the one that drew me in and I haven’t found another like it by them yet. I want another but I really like the latest which at this time before they release another one is KG and LW
Fun fact. Since this video has came out, they released another 12 albums (which includes 2 live albums technically). 12 albums in roughly 3 1/2 years. HOW.
Good vid. Very enjoyable, but here's a pronunciation tip. Pronouncing Geelong as Gee-long is like hearing the proverbial nails on the blackboard. Juhlong is how the locals pronounce it. It's like when you hear non English people pronouncing Worcestershire as War-chester-shire.
I think that their next album is Eyes Like the Sky 2 because is already written (i think that only the narration). I hope that they do a spin on that, like combining the story with the Murder of the Universe story or some crazy shit like that.
haha should have specified. i just wanna see what they would do with the genera. i think it would bring in some new sounds is all. thank you for the good video
I mean this is no way of disrespect because I literally like most of their work but I would definitely like a very mature, tight and dense album. Something that's definitely shooting for Grammy noms, all-around critical acclaim and something where we can easily say "this is a classic by far". Even though I enjoy their more experimental and fun projects, I want King Gizz to show these well-known bands, like Queens of the Stone Age, Foo Fighters, Tool etc., that they can go as hard and embracive as they do!
I get what you mean, but man, Polygond.. is for me, an album that'll pass the test of time, its dense, melodic, finely produced, deeply inventive .. its their masterpiece, to me
One day I hope, king gizzard will be seen as one of the most influential bands of all time
Who's looking forward to chunky shrapnel?
i am,, i love the camera style and also the fact its film, lodak film.. lovely :-)
I love the way they sound live, so I'm excited!
Hell yeah!
i would "like" this, but there's already 69 likes so i'll leave it where it belongs.
🙋♂️ got my vinyl too 😎🤘
You said in 2016, the band formed in 2010, so I assume you meant 2006.
Right! When I heard that, then how many albums they had released, I was impressed to say the least. 2006 makes much more sense 😅
yeh they had many albums out by then
my favorite king gizzard song? oh gees... Robot stop gets stuck in my head a lot. crumbling castle. The river. They're all so different it's impossible to choose.
I've been listening to them for just a couple days and I love The River and Robot Stop. Even the one after Robot Stop (Big fig something)
Favorite song is Crumbling Castle

NEW GIZZUMENTARY? SUBBED AS FUCK.

"Fishing for Fishies" is my favorite Gizz video; "Interior People" my favorite Gizz tune, and "Paper Mâché Dream Balloon" my favorite Gizz album.

Thanks for this short and sweet overview
Perfect for my lunch break
Saw these guys in ATL last year it was extraordinary
Glad you enjoyed it :)
Love billabong valley
Favorite song is BIG FIG WASP
music genres i think King Gizz would be great at
- Stoner Metal
- Irish Metal
- Reggae
- Disco ballad
You forgot everything else. Like, all of them. Every genre.

Next album surely a fusion of reggae and funk 😎🤩
Bloody ripper is by far my favorite song
Please continue with more videos on newer psychedelic bands! Enjoyed thoroughly!
This... But with Thee Oh Sees!!
this band is still living in the 1970s and I love it.
I absolutely loved this video one of the best I’ve seen so far my favourite song is either the cruel millennial, big fig wasp or uh oh I called mum
Thanks :) and cruel millennial is a great choice
my favorite group! i so love them
Great vid. My favourite song is Rattlesnake from FMB. I've been a fan since the release of paper mache dream balloon.
Thank you :) I'm fairly new to them tbh. I think the first song I heard was cyboogie when it was released on RUclips
@@willsworldofmusic3201 always nice to discover a new band to find they've got 15 other excellent albums to enjoy. If you haven't heard of Thee Oh Sees I recommend checking them out next 👍

This was amazing! Great job💚
invisible face and sea of trees are my favorite
Invisible face is a banger for sure
Damn, I have about 10 gizz posters on my wall and only listened to them for years.. but this video made me appreciate them even more

Great video about a great band. What songs do you like the most?
My top 5 in no particular order. Head on/ pill, evil death roll, am I in heaven, lord of lightning, and I’m in your mind.
Only uploaded a year ago and they have already released 3 more albums
I've just released part 2 so hopefully that helps 😅
My Fave King Gizzard Songs are Beginners Luck and The River.
Digital black or Robot stop, cant decide
homeless man in adidas is my favourite song
Good choice
I dont have a favourite song all álbums are gold
Agreed!
Hot Wax is the shit

oh how you were very wrong lol
@@quinnsforza3225 Lol, yes, but if Ambrose´s father hadnt die, it would be possible, as the story is already written.
Rat's nest is my fav.
4th colour, head on pill, sense, perilehon
Best band in the universe
Like the video but sweet lord did you fuck up the band met in 2006 first 2 eps and in 2012 they released their debut album
So the band formed in 2010, but the Stuart didn't learn how to play guitar til 2016?? I'm less than a minute in and you've lost me!
I remember getting this comment previously so it must have been an error in the script / video. Apologies!
cool vid bro
Thank you!
One of the top bands I listen to. I really think they have only a few “bad” albums, most of them are 8/10+.
NOT GUILTY BY REASON OF INSANITY! Mundane, bloodstain, in my brain
Piano *ding ding ding ding ding ding*
Me *internal screaming*
@@willsworldofmusic3201 lol!! Exactly!!!
You start off by saying the story begins in 2016, their first album was in 2011?

Iron lung, magma, the dripping tap
So either this guy recently added a hashtag to this video or he can predict the future
We'll never know... 😉
And the best band ever created was created. We are not worthy.
for the record geelong is pronounced like " J'long "
Joey Is member of what band?
Lucas Vega Bullant
Thank you
Story of TOOL please

like the idea of them doing a ska album
All is Known was from Murder of the Universe
Ian McGregor seeing as it is microtonal, wouldn’t it make more sense to say it would have been from FMB
@@colinedmunds2238 nah there's microtonal stuff in Brunswick
All Is Known is from Gumboot Soup actually
But, it probably fits well with MotU or Flying Microtonal Banana, I think
The microtonal structure and threatening lyrics puts this song halfway between FMB and MoTU
it´s really funny you ask for support for these kind of videos... I mean, come on.
