On February 18, 2009 Deputy Christopher Dewey was shot in the head and abdomen while on duty in Mahnomen County, Minnesota. Chris always wanted to be a cop, and even after being critically injured, and left for dead, he was still trying to get up and continue his pursuit of the two people who attacked him. After a long battle to recover from his injuries, Chris passed away on August 9, 2010. Poor guy! May he rest in peace! My condolonces to the family!
Anyone like to sound off on how many Police departments and Police cars in MN, I'm getting alot of comments on how great a time for crime it was that day.
Some emergency vehicles are equipped with a device that emits a signal when they have their lights on. That signal turns stoplights ahead of them green. That's my basic understanding.
For those who think Minnesota was easy pickings that day, ..... as of February 22nd ,2011.There are 10,584 police officers in Minnesota, thats all the math I'm doing for you on this one.
Border Patrol too??? wow... I saw a procession for a fallen soldier and all he had was 2 motorcycle police officers and one local... Man, Deputy Dewey must've been some guy..
LCPDFR is a mod for the PC version of the game Grand Theft Auto IV. It enables you to roleplay as a police officer in-game, perform traffic stops and respond to different calls and be in police pursuits. It is for emergency agency-fans out there.
Jus for everyone's info, in police/fire funeral processions, they bring representatives from nearly all the municipalities/state/federal departments in the state to pay their respects to the department that lost their officer. So all those police are not from the same city. There are federal protective service and border patrol agents in that procession.
that means you(let's say u are a cop) use the "back up button" too much(calling for backup everytime u got a call) that you don't get the help u needed when u really need it.......
Wow, the police cars just keep coming and coming and coming. This is almost a very nice video, and I would enjoy it if this was just a parade, but the fact of knowing this a funeral for another officer is very sad. This is the reason people need to respect cops. Every officer never knows if he is coming home, and everyday work is another chance of death, sadly for this officer this was the case, he died on his job. I hope he rest in piece, and hope his family is okay.
This is all the police heading to the grave site in honor of Deputy Chris Dewey. They were leaving the actual service. The service was just as moving as I attended. Btw, all types of LE came from all over the state to for this.
I would not like to rob anyone during a cop's funeral. Other than that, great turnout and solidarity, guys.... Loved to see some dodge SUV's, was unusual in between stock vics, chargers and impalas. why do some crown vics have red and white only?
can anybody tell me what agency those 2 explorers are with at 6:40? it says field operations rear quarter panel but i couldnt read the marking on the door
I believe there were actually two separate processions. The first one (this one) was for most of the officers, the second had the hearse, the family, and Mahnomen County Sherrif's Office in it.
even though i didnt know deputy dewey i heard bout the shooting and prayed for the deputy to recover from his injuries you are now 10-42 and code 4 deputy dewey it was sad day when the call came over the radio "officer down 10-33" me and my friend were on i 95 in richmond when we heard that call
Usually other agencies (State Police, Sheriff's Departments from near counties) take over so officers could pay final respects to one of their own. Besides, there weren't only Mahnomen County Sheriff's Deputies participating in the procession, other officers from various agencies were there too. Rest in peace Deputy Dewey! Your sacrifice won't be forgotten...
Wow lot of cars this officer must have been one hell of an officer its good to see all that support for just one officer. My condolences to his family.
Are you joking me? You are really upset that our tax dollars are being used to fund an officers funeral? Do you even pay taxes? Its no different than a fallen soldier, show some respect
Wow I see "U.S. Department of Homeland Security" and their "U.S. Customs and Border Protection" division in there. Where is this? How many different departments are in this line? Impressive. :)

Did they have every city in the entire state send every car? Wow that is a ton of cars. Must have been a great deputy.

They should all cut on their sirens at the same time and have them in sync. It would be amazing
And now the Dispatcher gets calls about Shots Fired on every corner.. Well, not the PD's problem, there with the whole State to a funeral
Beautiful and sobering at the same time.
one great way to respect a fallen brother
They say to this day there's still a line of cop cars turning that corner.
woow that respect to have everyone show love like that... but was any cops that look like the whole department?? that alot of cars
not to mention that almost all agencies have many many vehicles that you wouldnt see on a daily basis because some...many are reserve
wow thats a lot of cars and there were 2 people in each car It must be a huge city
man its a good thing thats one quiet town,no need for patrols or anything...
hearse is usually 2nd vehicle in procession.
Why was DHS(Department of Homeland Security) there?? That's a lot of police showing there respect..
I've seen a cops funeral procession before, even a captain's procession but this is the longest funeral procession I've ever seen.
most of this was state patrol... i noticed that a few had the old colors... they look much better than the white door ones

thank you for your service
21 cars passed in the first minute means about 315 cars by the end of the video... :D

wow i feel so bad all those people in the Cars lost a friend may you rest in peace

Did anybody count how many cops there were? I stopped after 50. There have to be 500.
I would not like to rob anyone during a cop's funeral. Other than that, great turnout and solidarity, guys.... Loved to see some dodge SUV's, was unusual in between stock vics, chargers and impalas. why do some crown vics have red and white only?
wow that's longest procession I've ever seen, so many vehicles
This is what a 100 star getaway on GTAIV should look like!
Damn.... This guy must've been important
Man, wouldn't want to run a red light near this line lol but sad day that day was

I believe there were actually two separate processions. The first one (this one) was for most of the officers, the second had the hearse, the family, and Mahnomen County Sherrif's Office in it.

Rest in peace. But how many cars in total where there?!?! Cause that is a lot of Police cars!
So there's a whole line of on duty ones too? These videos are only half or so of their force?
I'm astonished only because my town has only a whopping about 3-4 police cars.
Unmarket patrol.
