- Hundreds of first responders lined Interstate 25 in Colorado as deputies escorted slain deputy Zackari Parrish with a final salute to his service. He wsa shot in the line of duty in an ambush that wounded 4 other law enforcement officers and 2 civilians on New Year's Eve in Douglas County, Colorado.

The fact that you cannot recognize that those individuals signed up to protect their communities and help people. They're there to help you whenever you need it, if you hate them or not. It's sad that you cannot have a decent level of morals to understand this very easy-to-grasp concept. This man gave away his life for his community, the safety of others, and more importantly, the state. If you have something against that, fine, but don't come back yelling to police officers when you get shot for your blatant disregard of common sense and logic.

I remember meeting Mr. Parrish at a CrossFit gym in Castle rock. We had actually been raising money for a detective that was in critical condition. Not going to lie. He sparked my interest to join the law enforcement community and I have had that dream since. When I heard of his passing I was in shock. The man that inspired me-gone. I prayed and prayed for his family and community as they faced this loss together. You sir are in heaven and when my life is over I cannot wait to be by one of my heroes sides. Thank you for inspiring me Mr. Parrish.

My father is a police officer and this video brought tears in my eyes.
Never realized the camaraderie in the world of first responders until I went to the wake of one. I knew his sister-in-law and went there to see her. I learned that Representatives from every fire department, police department and EMT service that they had ever had contact with tried to come. I also learned that representatives from around the country came to show solidarity with their fallen brother. It was truly inspiring.

The biggest Proccesion I've been in for Slain Sheriff Sam Cathrin from Kentucky was about 1000 great friend love seeing so many Brothers coming together from so many states to show Respect for a fallen R.I.P
