400°
12 oz Egg Noodles
3 Tbsp Butter
1/2 Onion - diced
3 Cloves Garlic - minced
3 Tbsp Flour
2 C Chicken Broth
1 C Milk
2 C Frozen Peas
2 Cans Tuna - drained
2 C Cheddar Cheese - shredded
1 C Panko
1/4 C Parmesan Cheese - grated
3 Tbsp Olive Oil
Spray 9 x 13 baking dish with cooking spray
Cook noodles according to directions. - Spread into baking dish and cover.
In medium saucepan melt butter, add onion and cook until soft, add garlic, cook 1 -2 minutes. Add flour and stir for 1 - 2 minutes. Slowly add chicken broth & milk, stir constantly.
Once thickened stir in peas & tuna. Pour over noodles, add cheddar cheese and toss.
In small bowl add panko, parmesan & olive oil, mix together. Sprinkle over top.
Bake @ 400° for 15 - 20 minutes or until golden brown.

As noted in the comments, this same recipe seems to come from another RUclips video....I actually found it on more than one.
In THIS video, I noticed that the 2 cups shredded cheddar cheese was shown being applied first as 1-1/2 cups, immediately followed by adding 1/2 cup.
And one of the other essentially identical recipes has the tuna and peas mixed together with the cooked noodles directly in the baking pan, rather than as part of the sauce preparation prior to pouring that over the noodles. I think this makes no difference either way, except that the peas get unfrozen a bit quicker when done in the saucepan.
Regardless, this looks like a very good recipe and I intend to try it.

My mom used to make with cream of mushroom soup and finished with potato chips so will be interesting to try something different! I was a young picky child back then but can't wait to try this. Thank you!

That's my recipe, I do not use saltine crackers to top it with. I was just coming on here to say that this is not an easy casserole. I spend a lot of time in the kitchen and this is no way easy. Cook your noodles add cream of mushroom soup two cans of cream mushroom soup, if they're small or one large. Onion diced small and uncooked, melted butter and milk if to thick or dry looking, salt and pepper, top with Ballreich potato chips if you're up north and have access to them. I also keep the OIL in the tuna. I don't make it that often anymore so I really enjoy the flavor of the oil in it and not the water type. And I absolutely do not put Garlic in it. Then once it's brown and crispy on top I like to top it with raw onions also LOL.
made this for supper tonight. it sure made a lot for just my husband and i so i divided it in half, but should have split those as well, lol! i added a pinch of sweet paprika otherwise did it step by step (great instructions btw). this got 2 thumbs up!

I am going to try this however.. I have to sub out the milk for non-fat whole Greek yogurt (1:1 ratio) some Mayo... It hopefully will achieve the same consistancy with the math I have written down lmao. And instead of cheddar cheese I have this mexican cheese combination in a bag but.. it should be the same thing just a bit spicer but I am okay with that .. or this will blow up in my face :) LMAO

@@molcs yeah I remember as a kid everyone was making the tuna casserole. ( I'm 67) when I was a youngun I HATED PEAS!!! I wouldn't eat them!! But I ate some casserole with lots of potato chips on it and loved it ! But I still picked peas out. Have you tried hot tuna?? That a can of mushroom soup and a can of tuna heated with milk over toast ,, like SOS!! LOVED IT!

Problem with the recipe is that it doesn't say what size cans of tuna. 🤔
Just the normal size. I think when I made the recipe the cans were 6 oz now they're 5 or so. I say add as much or as little as you like. Hope you enjoy & thanks so much for watching!!
