Disclaimer: While I’m proud to look back on how far I’ve come in terms of video quality and editing, I don’t really agree with this opinion anymore. Ever since C5S3 I look at the player base a lot differently. Idk looking back I feel like it wasn’t productive to antagonize a portion of the player base. I came off as super bitter in this video. And I think that’s cringe. Nonetheless it’s interesting to look back to see how things changed. This video I made on C5S3 can be seen as the “antithesis” of “The Irony of Fortnite Zero Build” ruclips.net/video/H2RtwKHj08Y/видео.htmlsi=Jq7a_F8qGGFxMVgW
i respect the art of build fights but that shit is way too complicated. i prefer zero builds more chill gameplay. you see, you shoot, they and or you die, rinse repeat

Not going to lie, I avoided fortnite for the longest time because I could not wrap my head around the building. But then when I saw there was zero build that got me in.
@@karrr98Sounds like we got build main Timmy over here thinking build is the only way to play fortnite. You know if it wasn’t for zero build, fortnite would probably be dead, right?
I quit Fortnite a while back because I hated playing against people who'd build the Eiffel Tower in 7 seconds after hearing a shot, and a few days ago when I got back, Zero Build turned out to be the most fun I had since the Endgame LTM.
The addition of turbo-building is the only reason the game got this hard to master. Being able to just hold a button to place builds skyrocketed the skill ceiling.
Zero build should be replaced with some form of anti-turbo building gamemode. ive seen sweats who have even mastered no turbo building so adding that as a mode wouldnt work. maybe like like a 5 second cooldown when you place something so its only for... a fort, or some cover. like the game originally intended
building is what set the game apeart from other brs when it was new, but now that its a fully established game it doesn't need that. the gunplay is good enough on its own & the parkour mechanics only help zb's case
Yeah. The parkour mechanics basically replaces casual building. This is especially obvious with Chapter 2 Remix. A chapter that previously didn't have zero build is still perfectly playable in ZB because of mantling. The chests on the bridges? Just mantle up to get them. It's more puzzley, even if slightly.
What ruined games with a high skill celiling is that people only have fun when they win. this makes it so that casual players hate sweats and is also the reason sbmm/ebmm exist.
Honestly it’s BR you can’t go in thinking you’re going to win every game. But the way in which you die to a build player can be so sweaty I understand why people wouldn’t want to play it
Man I tried to learn how to build, went in a game, shot a guy, and in less than a second he built a whole castle, blocked all my shots, jumped over me, and one shotted me with a shotgun, never played build again lmao
Nah it’s the community around the comp players that is the problem. Look at TF2. The skill ceiling in that game is nuts yet most people still goof around and have fun.
One of my favourite solutions that they did in the past was a classic mode LTM where it limited all mats to a max of 30 so building had to be purposeful and strategic. Basically bringing it back to the days of building a wall for cover or ramping. If they did it again I would maybe raise the mat limit a little bit more so you can still get some clasic feeling build fights without the modern super sweaty build style
I used to play a creative map called something like “OG royale” and the guy made it so you could only place one build a second and there was no editing. It was really fun but the player count just wasn’t high enough to regularly get lobbys
I see Fortnite as being in the mechanics-heavy game category, closer Rocket League or Street Fighter than a shooter. We literally call close range battles "fighting".
Building alone is such a complex skill to have in a game that you have to have very advanced mechanics to be able to compete. Zero build makes it much more of just a shooter
yeah having a mechanic like building with a titanic skill ceiling in a goofy casual game did weird stuff to the casual scene, wish epic handled build modes a little better though. a proper ranked system would be nice...
@@shelby5334 yeah, a ranked system that was actually hard to climb and actually reflected skill in any way shape or form. compare someone saying "yeah im global" or "yeah im radiant" to someone saying "yeah im unreal" it just doesn't mean anything. you can camp your way all the way to the top no problem.

When I played Fortnite before Zero Build I shot at a player and he turned into a 6 story tower in half a second. I said "Nah this game ain't for me" and uninstalled. But when they added Zero Build I tried the game again and really like it now. I have no interest in playing Build Mode tho
I just started playing it cuz yuknow, friends. And i was going to play on regular mode. They on instant said no. I tried anyway. Damn. Guys building Bowser's Castle in less than ten seconds when i just appeared. I'm still playing Fortnite but Zero Build. I just go in regular mode to have some laughs or change gameplay a little.
What season was that? If it were before season x I would understand, but if it were after, I know you are bullshitting, they added skill based match making in chapter 2.
The only problem i ever have with "sweats" are when im playing a public lobby and someone starts playing like there in the world cup in the last 1v1. Like there is a ranked mode!
fair, but i can understand why they do that. Sometimes people want an easier game so they play pubs, but their chill simple gameplay is more complex than the intense focus gameplay of someone less experienced, so it seems like the better player is tryharding even if they take it easy
The thing is we aren't trying when we're versing casuals, it's just muscle memory kicking in. Like I don't play the game that much anymore but when I do I can still do all the editing and building and I get surprised that I can still do that
Sweaty isn't even the right word. Even if i could match it and be better than them. The playstyle of them is just so unfun that even if you kill them it's more like a relief and not fun to do.
Alright, gentlemen, hear me out. What if…ok, ok… What if…Half Build… Now hold on hold on, in half build you can still build, sure, but turbo is disabled and you cannot carry a double decked bus in your mats, as well as metal being more precious since it’s just better, editing is just like the old days. Half Build, when you just don’t wanna see them sweat :D
Zero build is what got me back into fortnite, never had a victory royale win back when game first launcher and now i get it without needing to learn building a hotel in 4 seconds when spotting someone
fortnite at its roots is a competitive game, and building is not the problem. the skill based matchmaking is just crazy, if you win 1 game you cant anymore since your matched with peterbot every game
Yeah, as hard as I sweat I do recognize how bad this issue is. I’m on ps4 still with the default controller and I’ve played a shit ton of creative but I’m still running into people way better than me/on better devices than me.
The game would greatly benefit from a custom bot lobby game mode where you can set the difficulty. Ever since they removed creative royale/battle labs/playground, I haven’t been playing the br much since setting up bot lobbies on a different account is too much of a hassle.

It’s not a competitive game tho. It was meant to be a funny way of playing battle royale. Not anything competitive. Fortnite was about surviving and now it seems like it’s more of competing and over doing your opponent
1:30 There is actually a reason people do this beyond "showing off". You are placing builds to occupy space so your opponent can't place those builds themselves. If you didn't do this an opponent could just place a cone or a floor and stop you from moving up. Once they have that floor or cone, they can edit it and shoot you.
@@zpirateko2129 bro just play zero build. Just Get better. The Point Of FN Was supposed to build, your making fun of ppl that will crap on you so just play zero build, no one is stopping you
Since this mode came out i play only Zero Build I could not imagine hopping in a lobby full of tryhards building bunkers around yourself when they see 1 pixel of another player That would be painful
I think a no editing no turbo build mode would be appreciated on top of no-builds, because building can be fun when its not the thing with the most insane skill ceiling
I think that a fun seperate mdoe would be to just make it so theres only 100 or even 50 of each mat type. Then so players who dont build often, but do enough can have a mode where theyre all on an equal play level
I think honestly we need a Middle ground for this game now. We’ve already got the Low ground (Zero Builds) and the High ground (Builds) but what Fort really needs is a version of builds that uses the old build system that made the game so good back then. I mean epic is already making a permanent OG game mode (just what I’ve heard no clue if it’s 100% true or not) maybe they could add that into the OG game mode.
Zero Build was such a W. Like bro I don't have time to grind 5 hours a day just to have mild fun on a game. Plus guns and aim actually matter on Zero build.
guns and aim matter a lot more in builds when you actually need to plan how to shoot with an enemy wall in front of you? also i dont grind and i still beat people who actually practice. Its an actual skill issue
@@siddarthpotla3264 Guns and aim legit don't matter on build. Maybe early on yes but at a certain point you can legit just out-build opponents and win with a shotgun and SMG. Also yeah I beat people on build with mild practice but at the same time, it is frustrating to play against players who clearly have more time to spend playing. I want to chill when I play video games lmao not spam-click buttons and barely use guns. Build in itself is definitely what makes the game unique sure but i go from averaging 4-5 kills in build to almost 11 and I have way more fun in games where I rely on my ability to, you know, kill people rather than my ability to build enough and use a shot gun.
@@siddarthpotla3264 also if you want to play the game for competitive reasons that is ok. It's your opinion and how you want to play. I in no way am saying that build is terrible but rather that that side of the game isn't appealing. I want to chill when I play video games not win lol
@@marceloverlorx8232aim is very important in build mode for example if you jump inside the box of the enemy you need to land ur fast pump shot or else you are most likely dead unless they are already low HP. plus I think in zero build positioning is even more important than aim

There is no skill zero build players have that build players don't. Any decent build player will dominate most zero build games. People spend hours every day on aim-trainers to play competitive at the high levels. Aim does matter. What does guns don't matter even mean? In zero build and low level build long range weapons are used more than higher level build lobbies, yes, and that's a bad thing why?
One thing I'm curious about is if they'd add other mechanics to building itself like more pieces or something. Sky's the limit with zero build 'cause they could add double jump, dashes like Tracer, wall running, etc, but builds mostly stays the same
@@covenantfemboytrue. They’re genuinely worse because nothing in the game stimulates them. They loot up, kill a few bots, and get a total of 1 real fight per hour.
I still like doing creative build fights and box fights because they are quick and fun but when its in a pub and everyone boxes up 20 million times it gets tedious so i only play zero build for pub matches as its way more chill and simple
honestly its the all pink or all blue ones that are scary lmao The all whites and all blacks are just little kids copying their favorite streamers and tend to suck, but the all pinks and all blues are absolutely unreal rank players trolling in pubs and creative XD
Good video man! My homies got me into the game last year and zero build was a great starting point. I can build now and keep up with diamond players because i got use to the no build and then tried out some of the zone wars to learn how to build in tense situations. Cant wait to see more
When I first played Fortnite, it was November 2017 and one of my favorite aspects of the game was the fact you could build your own base. And if you’re end game and you saw someone in a nice base you were genuinely intimidated
A simple fix would be to make another mode where they cap all mats at 50 each (15 builds) and make harvesting slower, Also once you place a build down you cant edit it so the only way to edit it is a pre-edit. This would stop sweats from building too much and simple players could still create a simple base or place a wall They could also make it so that builds don't place instantly and it takes about a second for the whole build to complete
@@zazfishImo zero build is way more fun than facing someone and they can build a 5 star hotel and attempt to 360 no scope off the freaking top. Edit: with aim assist cause epic has severe autism and thinks it is ok to add a cheat ass ability like that.
Turbo building ruined the game for me as a console player. Never cared for box fighting or building 8 story towers in 6 seconds. Building for me was always just place wall when shot at, peek around the wall to shoot back, maybe place a few ramps for height if I'm feeling a little zesty. Without turbo building i felt like everyone had to slow down to my pace and it made the game actually fun for me. When it was added in i basically quit playing. Everything became a sweat fest and the skill ceiling came based around who could build a fort around their opponent then shotgun them from 5 feet away through a quick edit in the wall rather than who could outplay their opponents with movement and gun skill. At least now zero builds somewhat brought it back to me.
this is a similar experience ive seen a lot of people echo but i never really got into fortnite because of the building and how hard it was to master and deal with other people when you're inexperienced. i came back to play with friends during season OG and got into the whole zero build side because it was much more strategic and didnt require hours and hours of practice building and doing mouse and keyboard tricks. since then i've played more hours than i'd care to admit. i think it's probably the best option for the game because any change to building and there'd probably be so much outrage epic would change it right back. just look what happened with the movement earlier this season. at this point given how little room there is for nerfs removing build entirely as an option just makes more sense
i play zero builds only but have played since day 1, i love watch FNCS and comp building. a lot of the zero build community are soft and are entitled when they have just started playing during chapter 4. building is a fundamental part of fortnite, but having a full time job i just have more fun grinding no builds, it’s about aim and decisions. idk why we can’t all just play fortnite and appreciate it. all of my skills in build mode help with no build like cross hair placement.
@@epyons8411 well, you do. but you can still have a job and know the very basics. there is a lot of children who can build way better than Fortnite vets soley because they spend most of their time playing Fortnite.

I love Fortnite and a lot of people like my friends would view my gameplay as “sweaty” but I’ve just been playing builds for as long as I could remember, practicing mechanics and different ways to build and edit is fun to me and I like messing around while still being able to compete at a decently high level!
Exactly. it isn't sweating it's just how we play the game. 6 years of learning how to build and edit makes you naturally good at it, I'm goofing off when I play

honestly building and fighting in builds is not hard. No one needs to do constant edits to win fights, you just gotta know basic tunnels and 90s and how to edit a wall fast so you can safely hit opponents from cover
You literally expressing my thoughts... I play zero build all day for the funny moments and damn that part with the small hitbox camo skins for sweaty players.... So damn true man
its honestly so funny when some kid starts building a whole damn fortress doing fancy edits sweating his ass off just for me to one pump him while i literally just built a ramp and a wall lmao
Zero builds skill ceiling is gonna go up too people like tefu and zemie are all ready doing solo squads just like the best players years ago soon zero build is gonna be too sweaty for a normal people
The same thing happened with Epic Games’ last game. Gears of War had its own version of “building” which is wall bouncing. By Gears of War 3 they made it so fast to the point that they lost a lot of OG players but people also loved to sweat and make Wall Bounce compilations.
imo the game is divided into 3 people: 1. Angry Nostalgic Players who complain about the skill ceiling constantly stating how fortnite was better when people built like dogwater because they can't get any better at all compared to the new skill floor; DESPITE the RANKED gamemode you can play against people your skill level. They also complain that the game is too hard (skill-issue) because of sweats, regardless of the fact that the game will be easy if you challenge yourself to get better. They play unranked against a majority of bots and still find ways to lose. 2. "The Sweats"/Good Players who complain about the angry bad players and are hostile to new-comers while also complaining every 3 seconds that the game is dying; the people that are mechanically gifted and can build the world trade center in a second, but challenge themselves to find new ways to have fun via mechanics because that is how a video game works. They play ranked. 3. The people that don't care and chill because they can adapt to skill floors and generally aren't bad. They could literally not care as they want to have fun and complaining about sweats prohibits that, so they just get better. They probably play unranked and creative.
good players arent hostile to bad players, check like r/fortniteconpetetive, i havent even seen any rank shaming, only tips, id say there is four, tryhards and good players are a different category tbh
Mate, good description but it's hardly correct, build fights are so complicated to the point of bore, they aren't just nostalgic, they're bored that the game has become a muscle memory test, it ain't fun
I'd describe the first category as people who played fortnite when it started, but have gotten older and don't have time to reach the skill floor, and just play zero build because the build mode is too hostile to those who aren't at the skill floor, your description is really uncharitable to people who just want a mor casual experience
No build is good and my season 2 having ass quit when it hit chapter 2. I would play very rarely then dayZ and Tarkov took over my life and I never went back to Fortnite. Then no build came out and I still was like “f that game f those 9 year old sweats.” Then something changed. My wife asked if I wanted to play no build fortnite because it was something cross platform. I did then got hooked. Don’t get me wrong I can crank 90s and edit but not in 0.02 seconds edit a window shoot dude reset and build some more. Kids got the handle on this game since it’s 6 years old now. Kudos to epic for making no build. The developers had no idea this game would advance so much mechanics wise. Them bringing build and no build permanent made the game playable again. Just my opinion. Also I subbed and liked hope your channel goes well brother!
They should make a slow build gamemode where it takes a half second or a full second between builds to stop speed builders, and make you have to build more strategically or make bases even
I think the best/worst thing about Fortnite is that since 2017 it really set the bar for what a game can be in the battle royale scene. The good side is that it doesn’t take itself serious except for the players. The worst is that Warzone tries to be like it. Look at all the collabs CoD has had in it’s time. All was because Activision was trying to keep up with Fortnite but has failed time and time again and MW3 is where everyone collectively said “Fuck this shit i’m out” and steered away from CoD. Obviously CoD will come back because yearly releases is the child of AAA gaming but the only way Warzone will fuckin die is that Fortnite goes back to OG once again. Think about that first week OG came back. YOU HAD OVER 5 MILLION PEOPLE JUMPING ON FORTNITE AGAIN AND POSSIBLY PEOPLE FOR THEIR FIRST TIMES! Lobbies for the first time in a minute didn’t feel like a sweatfest and I’ll admit at one time I hated Fortnite and didn’t see the appeal because I played R6. But once 2020 rolled around and I left that game in the dust and played Fortnite I saw why it was good.
the point with the people that says that tryhards ruin the game is that they think that EVERYONE that builds is a tryhard and thats the problem, they see someone doing a triple edit and instantly they say: OH NO A TRYHARD RUN!!!!
Kinda true, most people do think that, I just find it annoying when I try to play builds from time to time and mfs just box up constantly or try to run away in a pub match, I don’t mind the builds at all its just that people do try their absolute hardest for no fucking reason
@@shortesnameofalltimei mean, it makes sense, people play to win. But also same i cant help but get a little pissy when the guy i got to 10 health shockwaves away immediately
Sometimes i drop in after months of not playing, I get put in a game with 90 bots and a few sweats and i just position myself according to the storm and build forts, when i get engaged by a sweat i just shoot at him until he is out of mats and consumed by the storm. Most fun shit ever.
Someone else commented it but just having a low material mode would be such an amazing kind of “subgame” for battle royale. Like they could make it so that there’s a small group of battle royal modes and make it high material, low material, and no build. Amazing solution for people who want to play casually and still enjoy what makes Fortnite unique. I’d say a mode with 50 materials of each kind would be nice cause it would make an incentive to literally make a fort and metal would be seen as a valuable material instead of disposable like it is now. Metal in general just seems annoying cause as a battle progresses it slows down even more and having hundreds of it just makes fighting a drag. And people being toxic in red vs blue is crazy to me cause that mode is mostly made not for skill but purely strategy and different playstyles. Really liked the vid btw.
1:07 Actually no, the thing with those skins is the fact that they give some advantage in terms of input delay as the same with the star pickaxe, i know cause i was part of it a long time ago until i burned out, at least i still keeping my skill but otherwise i prefer playing zero build, but sometimes is still not that easy considering the skill based matchmaking...

W video originally i was going to just say "play zero builds" but i watched the whole vid one point i disagree with is that building is all flair sure sometimes its over the top but the reason people build so much is to have piece control and essentially "trap" the opponent in their builds otherwise good vid and great editing

yeh this is what ive been learning playing piece control, the more area you can claim with your own builds and being able to build fast gives you an equal advantage as your opponent, in order to play casual build you just need to learn basic editing like on walls which is the easy part in my opinion because its just learning new keybinds and using them enough to get comfortable with it, one of the things that helped me alot was finding the bind to reset my walls so i can make a window or door and instantly close it theres alot of strategy to building its just the casual players response to dying to someone whos better then them is to curse them out and act like theyre the ones ruining the game when this stuff is normal, people are always gonna lean towards the meta in a game and people that care about winning so much that they will get so mad over dying once but refuse to use the stuff they died to themselves because it "takes no skill" doesnt really make much sense to me especially when it is something like building that actually does take alot of practice to do well building forts in fortnite never really died it just evolved and from my experience most superhero skins are not toxic they are just better at the game which there is nothing wrong with
its now a running gag in my friend group where when that sweaty ahh no life friend gets us to play the game again (build mode of course) i keep building trailer-style forts and when i do it i go "god damnit i did it again"

As a good player I found this video super entertaining and it’s nice to see a different take on the game, tbh I just play ranked builds and sweaty creative map’s because it’s competitive and I enjoy being competitive and proving myself over others, i understand that’s not for everyone but I think Fortnite is an amazing platform for that
As someone with a full time job and school, I really hate zero build and have no interest in playing it outside of with friends. Most of my friends play build as well, but it's just the feature that got me interested in the game. The complexity of building and editing at a high level is such a unique and highly skillful area of any game, and I love to learn more about it and try to improve. yeah, i think building is a beautiful way of fighting that no other game can match. Yet I feel that people enjoy the feel that warzone, apex, and pubg give that hold true to the original "survival of the fittest" genre that just involves looting, running around, and shooting, Fortnite has a good feel, yet pro building scared off a lot of the community that wanted to chill more
@@samcandles You’re saying you never got pissed off by the mechs? Also you know that Fortnite gets a lot of views and press from competitive, right? If Fortnite just ditched all competitiveness and just amped up the “silliness” then that’s a huge portion of the viewer base, gone.
@@kirbot don't care, season x was awesome. Everyone focuses more on the BRUTE instead of the fact we got a new POI and weapons every single week, the fact the battle pass was one of if not the best ever, it was also where the lore really started picking up for this first time. Also halfway into the season the brute was nerfed to shit and they died very quickly
It was alright, but the mechs were genuinely horrible to play against. I guarantee that if there was zero build back then it they would still be universally hated because your literal hope of surviving them was to either build your way out (which was almost impossible), get in a blow them up if there was only one person or if they weren't too far, or hide on the meteor and spray them because they destroyed all cover. The other complaints about it though was that people weren't getting full og locations back after Dusty Depot returned. It wasn't that the season was silly, people wanted nostalgia for the older seasons. Not to mention the lootpool was kinda dog shit.
I stopped sandbagging on ZB and hating on BR and got my skills up. I learned how to crank 90’s, crank ramps, high ground retakes, take boxes, and edit fast to pump headshots. The game is way more fresh and fun now.
i am so glad i started playing CH1 season 4 and started teaching myself how to at least place a wall in fights by season 5 and now i can edit and build very decent. it got me used to what people find “so complicated”. like yeah you go against CRAZY players sometimes, but when you’re in a normal fight it adds a fun element. rather than just aim, shoot, dead, repeat. i refuse to play ZB just cause i’d be bored after one game. i like competition , it’s how you get better. but honestly now i feel like there’s no point in learning how to build if you’re a new player, the skill level is insanely high. so ZB makes sense for new players. i feel like ppl should’ve at least started learning by chapter 2 to keep up with being decent today.
yeh i started during chapter 2 season 6 and always enjoyed and preferred build but didnt care enough to practice much until recently, all my friends that play only want to play zero build and they are the only reason i even play zb its gotten boring so fast like i just want to play br builds even if im bad at it
Exactly. I play to have fun, and win or lose, I think being in a build battle is fun. Genuinely. I lose most of the time, but build battles are just so interesting and fun to be involved in. Zero builds is just boring
Id be interested in build mode where there is restraints on the speed that you can build and maybe even restraints on swapping to begin building. Nothing major, even just 1 wall per half sec limit would change a lot. while fortnite is a a mostly casual game saying that people ruined it by trying to hard is not right in my opinion this games has a comp side to it as well having the biggest cash prize polls for the widest audience of players so yes people will grind to get better and saying thats weird is wrong because alot of people enjoy ranked gamemodes like arena or ranked and they enjoy the progress of getting better overwatch is also a cartoon game with a big casual player base and yet we dont call those we play ranked to get better and those who try hard to get better weird or say they ruined the game , also saying epic games is quick react to their mistakes is flat out wrong both in fortnite and other games, they used to react and fix them quickly 4-5 years back but this days they dont do so , both in fortnite and other games they own , they just removed trading for rocket league which took a major part of the game away and nobody liked the change and yet they care for money not for the community and in fortnite they have had the most annoying changes that nobody likes that are still in the game such as : siphon , the sticky grenade launcher , and even in the last biggest tournament since world cup they ignore everyone telling them to lower obeservers to reduce the lag that made a 4 mil lan event unplayable
look at other games such as rust or even overwatch they do a whole lot more listening and what fixes? its been over a month and we still didnt get new guns and movment in creative which isnt that hard to add to the point where its even weird its not been in creative since day one also normal server performence(not tournys just ranked) as gone done a lot and hasnt been fixed yet i cannot understand the argument that epic even slighlty cares about anything that dosent directly give tham money and ofc you can use the they are on a break argument but they still had 2 weeks- 3 weeks this season before they went on it so they still had planty of time@@horse3987

At least now zero builds somewhat brought it back to me.
this is a similar experience ive seen a lot of people echo but i never really got into fortnite because of the building and how hard it was to master and deal with other people when you're inexperienced. i came back to play with friends during season OG and got into the whole zero build side because it was much more strategic and didnt require hours and hours of practice building and doing mouse and keyboard tricks. since then i've played more hours than i'd care to admit.
i think it's probably the best option for the game because any change to building and there'd probably be so much outrage epic would change it right back. just look what happened with the movement earlier this season. at this point given how little room there is for nerfs removing build entirely as an option just makes more sense

imo the game is divided into 3 people:

Every person who says comments like that is a bad player, like 99% of the time
@@adripos said the zero build ps4 player
@@Iker3329_ 1v1 me find out if I’m still on PS4 and can’t build ;)
Dude when I played build I never built anything an won 10 crowns without building I switched to ZB only won 2 crowns
Getting elims in Builds is easier since there’s no heat shield, so as long as you don’t run into Bob The Builder, you have nothing to worry about 😂
@@Itznkb I should have said those were chapter 4 wins especially during the Star Wars mini event I mostly camped and did ambushes I stream my Fortnite game play
I mostly play Zero Build, but for some reason I started farming gold in Build mode. I've had several games where I spent 80% of the game gold farming, then win the game with 10+ elims, never building a single piece, haha.

building is such a good idea when its just surrounding yourself with some walls and not placing stuff mid battle
I switched to mouse and keyboard recently and there is no way I will ever learn building on this its too hard. Im sticking to zero build.
put your mind to it and you can achieve anything
Average build experience: *Rebuilds the twin towers with Fort knox as a base and immediately snipes you.*
W video
originally i was going to just say "play zero builds" but i watched the whole vid
one point i disagree with is that building is all flair
sure sometimes its over the top but the reason people build so much is to have piece control and essentially "trap" the opponent in their builds
otherwise good vid and great editing
90% of the time, in real game scenarios, what you do with building in the sense of triple edits doesnt matter. Theres many retakes with minimal editing better than the double edit, triple edit, etc. Im elite almost champion without knowing a single retake or build fight technique. I dont even know how to cone and im on pc so I have aim assist

yeh this is what ive been learning playing piece control, the more area you can claim with your own builds and being able to build fast gives you an equal advantage as your opponent, in order to play casual build you just need to learn basic editing like on walls which is the easy part in my opinion because its just learning new keybinds and using them enough to get comfortable with it, one of the things that helped me alot was finding the bind to reset my walls so i can make a window or door and instantly close it
theres alot of strategy to building its just the casual players response to dying to someone whos better then them is to curse them out and act like theyre the ones ruining the game when this stuff is normal, people are always gonna lean towards the meta in a game and people that care about winning so much that they will get so mad over dying once but refuse to use the stuff they died to themselves because it "takes no skill" doesnt really make much sense to me especially when it is something like building that actually does take alot of practice to do well
building forts in fortnite never really died it just evolved and from my experience most superhero skins are not toxic they are just better at the game which there is nothing wrong with

Sir, that is not a cone
This channel is gonna blow up 😂 I laughed so much
Nah fr bro this shit was actually funny ash 😂
its now a running gag in my friend group where when that sweaty ahh no life friend gets us to play the game again (build mode of course) i keep building trailer-style forts and when i do it i go "god damnit i did it again"
Man this video really brought out all the 12 year olds in the comments lmao.
I agree. Some game devs are just too focused on esports players. I actually like how unranked is so much more fun than ranked in Fortnite.
Bro lost the plot mid video 💀 what was blud yappin about
I'm surprised you made it this long blud
i think the infinity blade is the only time fortnite listened to the community lmao
hot take: the infinity blade was fun to fight against
I only sweat when l have to. I’m mostly a Zero Build player who just wants to play and mind his own business. I also do Ranked Zero Build and for some reason, there are sweats in the mode too along with god damn Superskins, Auras, etc. Just stop sweating, god damn dude. (The highest rank l got was Elite in ZB btw.)
Do you really expect people to not try in a ranked mode? Like do you just expect them to come up to you, drop all their stuff and let you kill them?
fr crying about sweats in ranked is dumb cause no shit its a sweat mode
smartest ZB player "why are there good players in ranked?"
Zb players simply cannot comprehend someone being better them
As a good player I found this video super entertaining and it’s nice to see a different take on the game, tbh I just play ranked builds and sweaty creative map’s because it’s competitive and I enjoy being competitive and proving myself over others, i understand that’s not for everyone but I think Fortnite is an amazing platform for that
As someone with a full time job and school, I really hate zero build and have no interest in playing it outside of with friends. Most of my friends play build as well, but it's just the feature that got me interested in the game. The complexity of building and editing at a high level is such a unique and highly skillful area of any game, and I love to learn more about it and try to improve. I understand why you and many others like zero build, and I think it is one of the most impactful updates to ever hit Fortnite, but I just can't get over my love for building in this game. High quality video
yeah, i think building is a beautiful way of fighting that no other game can match. Yet I feel that people enjoy the feel that warzone, apex, and pubg give that hold true to the original "survival of the fittest" genre that just involves looting, running around, and shooting, Fortnite has a good feel, yet pro building scared off a lot of the community that wanted to chill more
You know i respect that
Zero build unironically feels more like classic/golden age fortnite then regular zero build does
Season X was good, the exact people you complained about ruining the game are the people that couldn't handle season x being silly
The problem was that the silly stuff was in competitive, in which actual money is on the line. Losing 1000+ to an OP mech isn't fair.
@@kirbot 99% of people aren't playing for money who cares
The game is way more fresh and fun now.
i am so glad i started playing CH1 season 4 and started teaching myself how to at least place a wall in fights by season 5 and now i can edit and build very decent. it got me used to what people find “so complicated”. like yeah you go against CRAZY players sometimes, but when you’re in a normal fight it adds a fun element. rather than just aim, shoot, dead, repeat. i refuse to play ZB just cause i’d be bored after one game. i like competition , it’s how you get better. but honestly now i feel like there’s no point in learning how to build if you’re a new player, the skill level is insanely high. so ZB makes sense for new players. i feel like ppl should’ve at least started learning by chapter 2 to keep up with being decent today.
yeh i started during chapter 2 season 6 and always enjoyed and preferred build but didnt care enough to practice much until recently, all my friends that play only want to play zero build and they are the only reason i even play zb
its gotten boring so fast like i just want to play br builds even if im bad at it
Exactly. I play to have fun, and win or lose, I think being in a build battle is fun. Genuinely. I lose most of the time, but build battles are just so interesting and fun to be involved in. Zero builds is just boring
Building is whay got me into the game I loved it and I love build fighting as well
I remember when it was just a co op horde survival game.
"wholesome chungus everyday of the week❤" respect 100
Id be interested in build mode where there is restraints on the speed that you can build and maybe even restraints on swapping to begin building. Nothing major, even just 1 wall per half sec limit would change a lot. Inspire people to limit thier build battles this would still allow for one to two walls placed to create cover, and would make forts actually impressive. Instead of scyscrapers being built in mere seconds
while fortnite is a a mostly casual game saying that people ruined it by trying to hard is not right in my opinion this games has a comp side to it as well having the biggest cash prize polls for the widest audience of players so yes people will grind to get better and saying thats weird is wrong because alot of people enjoy ranked gamemodes like arena or ranked and they enjoy the progress of getting better overwatch is also a cartoon game with a big casual player base and yet we dont call those we play ranked to get better and those who try hard to get better weird or say they ruined the game , also saying epic games is quick react to their mistakes is flat out wrong both in fortnite and other games, they used to react and fix them quickly 4-5 years back but this days they dont do so , both in fortnite and other games they own , they just removed trading for rocket league which took a major part of the game away and nobody liked the change and yet they care for money not for the community and in fortnite they have had the most annoying changes that nobody likes that are still in the game such as : siphon , the sticky grenade launcher , and even in the last biggest tournament since world cup they ignore everyone telling them to lower obeservers to reduce the lag that made a 4 mil lan event unplayable
You make some good points. Respectable. Also idk how I completely forgot that epic games didn’t patch double pump after like 87 years.
thx u 2@@Layo0
I’d say they still react to their mistakes and bugs really quickly.
i was with you until the fixes, they still fix their game and they still listen to us, better than any game I've ever seen I'd say
look at other games such as rust or even overwatch they do a whole lot more listening and what fixes? its been over a month and we still didnt get new guns and movment in creative which isnt that hard to add to the point where its even weird its not been in creative since day one also normal server performence(not tournys just ranked) as gone done a lot and hasnt been fixed yet i cannot understand the argument that epic even slighlty cares about anything that dosent directly give tham money and ofc you can use the they are on a break argument but they still had 2 weeks- 3 weeks this season before they went on it so they still had planty of time@@horse3987

The game just needs better matchmaking, the br gameplay loop at the moment is destroying 13 ai, killing one or two average players and then iether getting steam rolled by a top 6k tourney demon or some moron controller warriors their way into your builds and wins the 50/50 on 3 health.
