I agree. Grip came around the moment Slayer was fresh out of ideas and the driving force that Dave was. And Grip was not a Slayer clone but something different altogether. Hence the charm.
Are you kidding? This album came out ahead of it's time, very progressive and gets confused with bands that came out later. Look at all the bands that changed formats to this style after it released and never talked about. Early Sepultura for instance was almost a copy of Slayer, Then grip changed that formula and put in alternative beats and instruments, then a host of albums came out following this same style from many different bands that used to play only one certain way. I'm not saying they are the first to do it, but Grip inc most certainly influenced a generation and never acknowledges it, that's that's fucked up.
This is a secret weapon when it comes to some musicians and it's amazing how many drummers out there that aren't even familiar with this band. nothing even comes close to all the talent in this band. Some of Dave's best work in this band.
Absolutely one of the best bands to come out of the 90's. Not just because of Dave's powerful drumming but also Gus Chambers awesome vocals.

3 mal Live gesehen, Dave Lombardo war der einzigste der auch Live gut war. Auf Platte waren Grip immer geil aber Live leider sehr schlecht.
