One of the main rules I teach my students is that a great way to test to see if your interpretation is valid or not is to ask yourself the question, "Would the original readers of that passage agree with your interpretation?" If not, then you should probably reconsider it. Perhaps a good place to start would be to read my book "Reading the Bible with the Giants" or Gordon Fee and Douglas Stuart's book "How the Read the Bible for all its Worth." Either would provide a good foundation for us to understand the other's interpretation. Isaiah 6:1 is the timestamp of the Glory of YHWH Manefested in Jesus - John 12:41 !!! Take a guess at what age King Uzziah died ??? The original readers would have no idea about Carbon & Oxygen. They did KNOW-ledge that Man was Created on the 6th Day -- that Jesus was crucified for a short 6 hours -- that Circumcision was the 8th Day and that David was the 8th son of Jesse.
