Why did Jesus move to Capernaum?

  • Using information from Scripture, the culture of the time, history, and archaeology, several reasons are identified as to why Jesus would move to Capernaum from his hometown Nazareth. Embedded in his choice is a lesson for all Christians.

    Good stuff. On a different angle. It sure is a pretty place to over look the sea, it may have been a busseling place, but there was also an opportunity to walk away for serene moments of reflection and prayer.

      Isaiah 9:1-2 told in advance Jesus was going to Galilee...this was the Old Testament.

    It sure wasn't a coincidence that He cured the centurion his servant from afar. There's a great change that the centurion was showing his gratitude by offering Him a place to stay, maybe his own house, in Kfar Nahum....
