Many thanks for the explanation of the "via maris" (ὁδὸν θαλάσσης/דֶּ֤רֶךְ הַיָּם֙)! Fascinating! And also the "Galilee of the Gentiles/Nations" (Γαλιλαία τῶν ἐθνῶν/גְּלִ֖יל הַגֹּויִֽם). I was totally unaware, that it is all there in Isaiah 8,23! Many thanks!

This was a high quality Bible teaching. I've never been taught about taxes and the context. Your ministry is teaching what has not been mainstream, please keep it up. It adds to my faith and finally a "teacher" not just someone giving pep motivation talks riling up the crowds. Lord bless your obedience in the eternal life.

You might like to check out Jerome Murphy O'Connor's oxford archaeological guidebook, or Dr. John Beck's little book The Holy Land for Christians Travelers. You should be able to find them both on Amazon.

Good presentation. ❤ I’m new subscriber and look forward to your continued insights. A hint to the wise here: Please watch a basic grammar rule involving the words: SIT and SET. The sun 🌞 sets. You set a plate on the table. A city sets on a ridge, since a city cannot sit down on a ridge. You sit down on a chair. Thus, Nazareth cannot sit on a specific location. Please review to make your presentations even better. A lot of very intelligent people get this all wrong.

There is a reason Jesus went to Galilee first and your right in saying it was predominantly gentile. But it wasn’t predominantly Gentile because it was in the pathway of “traffic.“ It was predominantly gentile because that whole area was captured by the king of Assyria in 2 kings 17:6
He then deported the Israelites to Assyria and instead brought other nations to occupy that area. 2 Kings 17:24
This is Huge! Jesus started his ministry in the very area where people worshiped other gods and had no notion of THE GOD of Abraham, Issac, and Jacob.
He came to be the Light in the darkness as Isaiah prophesied about! That area was known to be in complete Darkness since they were mostly Gentile and did not know of the one true God! Amazing right?
