My cousin left it in my home so I decided to play and I couldn’t read at the time so it was extremely hard to know what I had to do in this game. The demo scared the F out of me and I asked my dad could people come back from the dead, which he replied why are you playing such a scary game?
This took me back 20 years to when I was a carefree 10 year old kid. The sounds of this game are forever stored deep in my memory, nostalgic feelings have been unlocked, feelings I never thought I’d feel again, and haven’t thought of or felt in two decades. Thank you.
I remember playing and completing this great little game in 1999 or 2000. I can't believe 17 years have passed since then.. I used to think that Tim Burton would be the only filmmaker who could justice to a screen adaptation of this.
everyone I know who remembers this always has the same story. They played the demo of it but not the full game. But EVERY agrees that it was fun and addicting as hell

Funny story we had the demo and I had always watched my dad play it. I finally had the guts to try to play this when I was home alone (probably 6yo) and it scared the absolute shit out of me and i had to quickly shut off my PS1 out of pure terror. Good memories.

How do you even make this game look better though. This is back in the day when they still had to make the effort to atually stylise the graphical capacity they had and this one is a damb masterpiece.

I cant remember. I bought the remastered one too. And the one on psp. I want to watch this so much but I need to finish it on my own first. I love the art in this game. The music too. The enchanted forest used to creep me out so much lol because demons and the weird black background behind certain things that gave it such an eerie look. Being high up On the tree with the eggs scared me lol I hated the anthill thing. I’d get so friggin lost in there with the damn ants 😩 I love pumpkin gorge and the level with the scarecrows.

I think I pretty much always got the villagers killed in the castle level. I didn't understand how to put the fires out with the hammer, and I always ended up tripping the switch and killing them!

I have never fallen out of love with this game After beating the game to 100%, I start a new one just for the fun of it and save over the old save, because Edit: I prefer this version over the UK one, because ours isn't seemingly broken
I'm only assuming, but the UK version is slightly different because the rejuvenation fountains last half as long, life bottles respawn (if they weren't using a cheat) and certain items in order if their acquition is defiantly different

The remake was great and all but it got nothing on the OG's very creepy atmosphere and nostalgic feel, i still feel goosebumps with the OG stained glass demon's heartbeat.

I got this game to play with my son & daughter & told them stories how I used to play it it brings back so many great memories
It is because of games like this that the PSX became to be the best platform in history, at least in my opinion.

This, Metal Gear Solid, Oddworld, Crash, Spyro, Gran Turismo, Final Fantasy VII-IX, and so many more. Was so lucky to grow up with these.

I believe there were stories about a pirate copy that had axe as an early in-game pickup. That same copy would freeze when you'd try playing The Lake.
Then I must have watched a long play of a bootleg copy
