Always wanted to open my own restaurant. Think I'll focus on opening my own law firm first...
if you are serious abt it, try working in one first... i changed my mind abt restaurants a long time back...staffing is the biggest challenge

I used to be an entertainment lighting technician on a cruise ship before covid 19. It was a mix of #6 and your bonus on your list. To do my job in particular correctly, it is a decent number of hours, seven days per week. Cruise ships at the very least also have: #10. child care, #1. restaurants, and #9. event planning (like weddings). There are ship specific duties on top of your normal job, too, like safety knowledge, knowing where all the numbered muster stations are for both guests and crew, and even being able to drive and launch the lifeboats if you are there long enough.
worked in 7 out of the 10 industries before. one i am still working in so it does make you more patient than others.

I run an Anime convention. It's a combination of Event Planning (#9) and Live Music Events (#6). The work never ends even when the convention is over. Tons of details and variables to consider. In spite of those, doing this is intrinsically rewarding to me. Thanks Alux!

I had my own mobile DJ business for about 20 years. It was a lot of fun, but it was like combining live entertainment with event planning. You only get one chance to do it right and it’s the most important day in the client’s life. Also, your events are almost always on a Friday or Saturday...so there goes your social life.

I think you should include Interior designers/ home maker. Owner will scan through every single different company and compare prices, sevice and lastly and sadly, design. If you are lucky to hand over the keys, they will scan through every mm square to look for so called "defects". Trying to get a big discount through all sort of meant. Sadly but true.

96% of businesses never make it pass the 1m revenue mark that is just fact, but that does not mean you can have a great living, and decent income, but planning and understand your goals and keeping ambition in check while you grow is important, there is no such thing as over night success it takes years.

I work in the hotel industry and if I had a choice between a hotel or a restaurant, I'd take the hotel hands down.
I much prefer going to a very fancy restaurant and having a fine dining meal with A Little Bit Of The Bubbly (hanging out with my favourite Widow - La Veuve Clicquot) than running one.

You forgot working in the ER of any hospital ( doctor, nurse, aide, central supply sterling unit, ...). Police officer, MTA worker.

Small talk and no talk funny but true to a degree, also have big talk I was able to drive for two super wealth gentleman for about a 3 hour ride and I was able to pick up what they were talking about at the time in some big investments/economics. I will say now I’m well equipped with knowledge and some action so I join the their conversation and was able to pick their brains on what a black 26 should do so yeah they paid for my gas, dinner and a good tip👌🏾 and drove one of the co-fonder friend that help with building AirBnB etc so Lyft/Uber you never know who you going to meet so stay tune up, groom up, skills and knowledge up

I would start a bakery
I wouldn't start any of these businesses. I'm a self-taught software dev and will be following the template that levels.io set up as the 3rd phase of my plan. However, instead of doing 12 startups in 12 months, I'll be doing 6 startups in 12 months.
These are not really businesses but self-employment. Business is creating a money-making system, not doing the job yourself. I recommend e-Myth..

14 hours a day 7 days a week 365 days a year for very low pay
Family-owned dairy farms are going out of business in record numbers
I have been ubering for 6 years now and I made 100k once.. the other times I have been repairing my car way more then I even make smh lol.. i recommend it if you are mechanically inclined. And if you are then you have yourself a goldmine job.
