How did I leave Ukraine if there is martial law? Why didn't I stay to fight?

The most important thing to stay alive in a war. If all men go to the front who will take care of the families and rebuild the nation? I am sure all ukranian soldiers and civilians who lost their lives during the war are gald, their soul is glad that you and your family is alive and safe. Keep sharing your experiences. It will be a guide for next Ukrainian generation. You are representing your culture, values, and your country to Canada and to the whole world. I wish peace for everyone.

Many of my friends in Ukraine just continue to work and support the Ukrainian army. There is a fear of fighting and being dead, no one wants to have that kind of experience, and that's unbelievable in the 21st century. Fighting for your country does not always mean dying for it.

you are in good hands with a deputy prime minister who has done her part over the years. Here in Europe many are getting really tired if these "refugees"...demanding ,difficult and too often arrogant. Often seen in expensive cars and jumping from country to country and back and forth between new host countries and Ukraine .
Don’t be mad. Ukrainians are running from the war, not the poverty.
