"It tasted like a cloud with icecream on top of it..." Children always have the perfect way to describe things that us adults are no longer capable of describing! 🥰
Don't be so hard on yourself, you can get much better at cooking with practice and studying different techniques. Also, there are hundreds of types of "talents" in life, and I'm sure you have something that Ann sucks at. Everyone has something special, maybe you just haven't found yours yet, but it's there
I've seen so Many other Cooking Channels,But this is so far the BEST! You're so Talented with your amazing work. You have Brilliant Ideas That I couldn't Even Imagine. This is such a great video.Your the only cooking RUclipsr that made me drool over their Food(lol).Keep up the great work!👌👑❤
I watch many cooking channels but no one else than you made something as cool as this! You have a lot of Cool, Great and Amazing ideas and this is my favourite cooking channel EVER!!!!
Is it just me but I watched so so many cooking channels and tbh this is the best one I have ever found your so fun and creative and I always look forward to your next videos!
Citric acid isnt really a flavor, its just a flavor enhancer. If you think about a candy like sour patch kids or other sour gummy candy, theyre coated in this "sour sugar." This sugar mix is citric acid mixed with sugar. So in this case it would likely taste like a slightly sour tang
nah just aesthetic. very pretty though not what i would like for a dessert. and to the person above saying it's a basic taste since it's a low calorie dessert, you are 100% wrong. you can make awesome sugar free, low calorie desserts. this on the other hand, is just glorified jello.
It's mostly cuz of a translation problem. In Japan, where the dessert originated, it's called Mizu-Shingen Mochi, which translates to "water-looking mochi". Because "mochi" doesn't have an exact English translation, the closest word for it is "cake", which led tho this thing being called a raindrop cake.
This is one of the most beautiful sweets I've seeing in my life! I'll try to make it, not sure if I can achieve this beauty. Congrats! I've just subscribed.
This is SO PRETTY! I was looking for sometyhing to do for a Valentine's day gift for someone, and really think I am going to try this and see if I can do it first, as I would really love to do it for the gift.
Dear Ann Reardon, Since I cannot give you a letter in real life I want to comment my words and I REALLY hope you see it!! You are not just a cake decorator. You are a artist! I hope you know that the masterpieces you have created are AMAZING. Normal people can't make cakes like you can!! I enjoy watching your videos and trying new recipes. Thanks for teaching me, well, how to cook that!!! Love, CCBunnies
Wow, I'm a new subscriber that has only watched 2 vids of Ann's and they are amazing!! they are such beautiful and awesome creations! this is the most amazing cooking channel by far!! keep up the fantastic work Ann, you're doing great!
You make such amazing things so well, you are my favorite desserts RUclips ever. You make things that amaze me, you're real sweet and you're voice has a real authenticity and kindness to it. You look like such a joyful and kind person and all together it's just really great. I can't wait to give this a try at a next party haha
your music at the end was like an incredibly amazing climax to a romantic movie.... and yes salute your creations, i am from Pakistan and love you all.
I've been here since you got 100,000 subscribers, and you keep getting better and better :) Someday, I want to bake like you do. And, hopefully, someday I will. Keep up the good work
was I the only one getting Beauty and the Beast vibes once the music started (particularly at 4:39 - 4:45) when the music began to swell?... No?... Okay I am just going to go now... Just let me know when March 17th 2017 gets here...
Omg... you're truly a food genius lol ive never seen anyone so talented at baking/creating food.... you're absolutely AMAZING at everything! Filming, editing, cooking, baking... you're Wonder Woman!
If you did that would you have to melt the gummy bears in the microwave or something first? Would you have to add any water or something to it to be able to do this?
White people just translated it wrong. Its called みずしんげんげんもち。Mochi is a glutenous dessert. This type of mochi is traditionally eaten with soybean flour and syrup.
like she said in the video you can add your own clear extracts for your choice of flavour. The citric acid she used will probably give a relatively sharp lemon juice like flavour.

It might make good decorations for a big cake, or without the base for smaller cakes. I think I might be tempted to put white flowers into a brown jelly, perhaps using clear apple juice or Grand Marnier, to create a sepia photo effect. Or the other trick might be to use gin and tonic and a black UV light to create a glow in the dark version.
Not only does this look amazing, it's the only recipe for raindrop cake I've tried that actually WORKS.
:)
Does it taste good?
+How To Cook That you so beautiful
thank you +Hanun Alifa Alifa :)
Show us how to make Methamphetamine next!
I’m going to be honest, when I saw the thumbnail I genuinely thought that they were real flowers. You are absolutely amazing
Same. I imagined she'd put a flower in the gelatin before it was hardened, but that would've made it unpleasant to eat... lol.
Same

My my.. everytime i see that talent i look in the mirror and i think to myself: "only if you could boil some eggs"

+How To Cook That you are very welcome😂
I think that the leaves you were asking about are called sepals.
Yes they are.
Fun fact, the "petals" of daffodils are actually sepals. The trumpet is the only petal.
I learned at school

Does it actually taste good, or is it just for the a e s t h e t i c ?
she said the citric acid is for flavor, so i imagine it would taste like orange or lemon jello :3
Probably has the texture of jelly
Yes
nah just aesthetic. very pretty though not what i would like for a dessert. and to the person above saying it's a basic taste since it's a low calorie dessert, you are 100% wrong. you can make awesome sugar free, low calorie desserts. this on the other hand, is just glorified jello.
Why are they called cake wheh there is nothing cakey about them? Why not jelly spheres?
Put a cake inside it
@Shovine Bojraj There are a lot more kinds of cakes than just sponge cake with cream!
Cakes come in all shape, sizes and ingredients. 😊
@@rururinchan6601 Thanks for the explanation! Much appreciated.

+Sainara nope
Someone send thus to Corinne
Both Rob and Corinne tried it, without flowers. But, they used a different recipe, which could be why they both failed.
He said "it taste like a cloud" 😂😂😂😂

OMG I HAVE NEVER SEEN THIS KINDA VIDEOS EVR! So beautiful yet beautiful things are not at all simple..
Your son is sooooo cute!!♡♡♡
yes he's a darling :)
+How To Cook That 😄😄
Why is it called cake? Isn't it more like a jello?
Who knows but raindrop cake sounds much cooler than raindrop jello 😂
+Julianna Felt fair enough! I can't think of a better name, I mean I would call them Jiggle Drops but that's because I'm cheesy.
It's called Mizu Shingen Mochi :3
I would call her recipe jello, because raindrop cakes are made of agar.
As far as I know originally its a japanese recipe and they call it a cake
Pro tip: Replace gelatin with 5 pounds of haribo sugar free gummy bears. This makes it clearer and have a better texture.
Also eat the whole thing in one sitting.
If you did that would you have to melt the gummy bears in the microwave or something first? Would you have to add any water or something to it to be able to do this?
this person is being bad. those gummy bears are known for um...making your intestines get cleaned out. :P
lol thank you i think not enough people know the laxative effect and would find out after trying the gelatin replacement
Sara Johnson what do u meam
This is spectacular. Just mind-blowing!!!
Love your videos!
Thank you Ann! You are like MichelAngelo, your cakes and sweets are amazing!
"Hey mom can we buy a syringe from the supermarket?"
This is just plain cool, edible or not.

+How To Cook That 😃
+How To Cook That where do you get leaf gelatine ps love you😊😊
+How To Cook That the agar agar is maybe from Malaysia but I don't know do... in Malaysia (I live there: ) ) and it's actually jelly: )
+How To Cook That BTW this video is so awesome!! now I can make with my mom! it's actually one my favorite dessert!!
that was way too amazing and complicated for me! Good job!

You're so pretty Ann 😍 Luv your vids! I'm a big fan: 3
you're very kind :) Thank you
😮 You replied..... 😘😘😘
+How To Cook That does a raindropcake just taste like sugary water? I just asked it to myself but i don,t know the answer.
the citric acid makes it taste like sprite! :D yum!
sepals that's what you call the leaves at the base of the flower.
😉
Abdurahman Ali oh I thought it was tepals
those are TRULY BEAUTIFUL!
I have seen other videos of how to do this and yours is the one that works!
percy jackson cake please please please please!
You are a freaking genius! :D Make it Blue!
YESSSSS make it blue
I completely agree with this!! it needs to be done!
We should comment on her more recent videos so she'll see it
yessss!!
Looks amazing!! But how does it taste??
ABabyC since she added citrus it prob taste tangy a little orangey lemoney maybe
For the Green colour thingy, can you use tempered/fake white chocolate and colour it green?
amazing
This was the most helpful vid on these flowers i have seen so far!
Ill definitely check the other ones
I am speechless. Over amazingness of this, obviously.
Please do Finding Dory/Nemo theme.
I honestly can't stand to hear the word raindrop "cake" anymore... Why "cake"??
white people probably. its just mochi i dont get the hype either
+sparkydoodle96 it's not mochi either. It's basically jello
in this recipe i guess so. but the original name is mizu shingen mochi, isnt it?
SAME!!!
White people just translated it wrong. Its called みずしんげんげんもち。Mochi is a glutenous dessert. This type of mochi is traditionally eaten with soybean flour and syrup.
Thumbs up this comment if you want a Teen Wolf cake so Ann can see!
This is something out a magical garden.!
That little boy's description of the tube dessert (at the end) just made my week and it's only Monday! Oh and the raindrop was supercool too 😉
those lil leaves are called sepels collectively
Vidya vathi what are they called separately?
Sepals*
I agree they are beautiful, but wouldnt they just taste of..sugary water?
like she said in the video you can add your own clear extracts for your choice of flavour. The citric acid she used will probably give a relatively sharp lemon juice like flavour.
like she said in the video you can add your own clear extracts for your choice of flavour. The citric acid she used will probably give a relatively sharp lemon juice like flavour.
Citric acid gives it a Sprite flavor,
Raindrops cakes are not suppose to taste like anything!
You kinda have to add other flavors to it (sauces, powders etc)
This looks flippin’ amazing. But how is it a cake? It’s a gelatin mold.
I dunno what to say! I just watcched the whole video with my mouth open. You're an artist.
