Give Wrecking Ball a re-mech. My idea is that when Wrecking Ball loses all of his health, his character switches to a small Torb with only 75hp and a hammer (since one of Hammonds emotes shows him using a hammer to fix the ball) and when the ultimate is charged he gets the ball back
Ashe's change is interesting. The idea of a successful melee temporarily overcharging a hero's ammo could really encourage a "get-in-get-out" type of character that dives in and out of enemy lines. Could also incorporate a few of the abilities they tested in the recent events. Junker Queen's knife change from the 2023 April fools event comes to mind, where the hero could throw an object in a direction, and pull themselves away with a second use of the ability. Give it a short cooldown at the cost of needing proper aim and time between the first and second uses to get the most out of it. Mei's Community Crafted "skating" ability is an interesting idea to draw from. Not directly using that ability, but having a movement ability which costs ammo, creating a sort of economy between movement and damage. Basically, the hero can get in easily, but then has to deal damage and earn getting back out. If they get in to far, proper melee usage could be a last resort to save themselves. This “Ammo Overcharge” should work like over-health, constantly draining back to the original amount and lost upon death, but it would be an interesting basis on which to build a glass cannon kind of hero.
I think the easiest fix for Hanzo pinning Brigitte and Rein forever is to not restrict the freeing condition to only melee. Make it last about 8 seconds, and you can get out instantly when you melee. It still negatively impacts Brigitte and Rein, sure, but they aren't trapped forever.
15:00 On console, Mercy's rez is set to default on LT, which is most other characters' secondary fire. Damage boost is set to RB (ability 2) because healing is set to RT, so when you hold the controller you use the same finger to switch between pressing heal or damage boost and your other finger is just for rez.
For your orisa change use just force the use if javelin toss at 5 seconds Also experiment eith using "attach entity" instead of TP to stop people becoming anvils

Hammer hits while in Overdrive apply Jolted. -Molten Core makes the ground conductive. Its damage over time is greatly reduced, but Overdrive lightning bolts strike every 1-3 seconds (at random) on your globs.
An addition for mercy I always thought would be neat for something like the skill trees they had planned was that she’d be able to place down nodes that she could Guardian angel to, to have increased movement.
For Roadhog, make his melee put the chain on the target like you’ve already done, but he can use his hook action to pull that target to him. So you can melee to set up a chain and then move away and then use the ability to pull that target.
I have two for Genji: 1. A simple melee damage increase from 40 to 50 since Swift Strike does 50 and they use the same blade to do both attacks 2. (This one may be hard to implement) Upon taking a melee hit while you are deflecting, pressing your quick melee button will do a critical melee strike back to the target (like a parry into riposte), inflicting 1.5x or 2.0x of his quick melee damage without blade active (whichever you think is more balanced and since this includes the previous buff I mentioned, it would do anywhere from 75-100 damage going off the 1.5x and 2x multipliers respectively)
The illiari melee is cool but i always thought that sense her gun is a sword and her melee that she should have a passive where she just has extra melee range. No real damage buff no special effect just that she can melee people at Reinhardt distance.
Ana having a sleep punch seems op, and I love the concept of punching an enemy that's too close so that your allies can help. I would suggest (once outlines are fixed or you figure out some way to implementing it visually) making the punch mark an enemy to take X damage if another ally damages them within Y seconds, consuming the mark. Lets say the value is 40, so if it is triggered it doubles your melee damage. I should stipulate that the mark disappears after being triggered, and you cannot trigger it yourself. Heavy inspiration taken from league's imperial mandate btw.
Some game ready Ideas could be pulled from this. Ashe stealing ammo and Sombra stealing or damaging enemy ult charge would be awesome. Maybe Lucio could get a .5 second free amp on melee. If lifeweaver melees after hitting 20 thorns there’s additional explosion damage. Stuff like that with conditions or just slight buffs would be cool.
Bastions melee upgrade should be if you punch while shooting out the grenade (at the same time) it goes farther and has a larger explosion, but you can harm yourself with it
I find it really funny that they were so confused about how they thought rez and boost were the same button on console, but in reality, the button is below the primary fire.
Please re-work bastion, nerf damage on assault a lil bit, give it ammo, remove or drastically reduce the cooldown, give him self repair while In assault, and keep grenade for recon. Now he can be threatening whenever he wants, sustain a bit better, and keep his mobility when he needs it.
I’ve always wished Ball could reveal enemies somehow. 1. It helps his team see what he’s actually doing “way over there” behind enemy lines 2. It gives his team utility that no other tank currently provides 3. Top ball players are already using him to scout, but lower level players don’t necessarily know to do this or comm it. So it forces them to use ball for what high level players he’s already good at: scouting.
For Hanzo I imagine when he kicks enemy mid air (while jumping or falling) he kicks him with his foot and pushes himself backwards, after which you can use Hanzo's jump skill to add even more distance.
The idea I had for Reinhardt melee was pretty similar actualy. The idea was that would would the get the really slow recovery animation all quick melee have. But you could quick melee in a swing to get that extra damage. The animation would have been him hitting you wot the other end of the hammer handle has he uses the hammer momentum.
I know you said you didn't want JQ bleed on Kiri, but I feel like it might make some sense if Genji had it on like dash, melee, and dragonblade, because they're swords, and swords cut, and cuts bleed. Also, it would make Genji far less reliant on heals.

Change reaper respawn, when he get to 1 HP instead of dying he go into wraith form and slowly heal, so you can respawn very quickly but with a really small amount of HP or wait for being at full health (full health regent is based on the wraith form duration, full duration = full health)

I've got an Idea for Zen's melee. He's a monk and probably knows martial arts. So when he melees, after a short windup of maybe a half second, he blasts forward in a straight line, unable to steer, doing a flying kick like Liu Kang from Mortal Kombat. Bonus points if it can be done in any direction. That way a Zen could fly to high ground or even escape an altercation by karate kicking away.

(bonus idea. have mauga's cage fight teleport the whole lobby inside of it. Make it last 30 seconds and have it so every hero deals 0 damage.)
Mercy rez is bound to secondary fire on controller, not specifically console. It's the same if you play on controller on PC, like me. So... yeah, this control scheme weirdness existed even BEFORE Overwatch got console releases at all. Also Zen's abilities are swapped on controller compared to keyboard. There is a LOT of weirdness in controller bindings.
One that would be real challenging to figure out if its even possible but would be *amazing* to play: role swap. Make every hero a different role. Some would be easier to thematically change than others (Ana DPS, Mei Tank, Roadhog Support), but idk how the mechanics would work.
Keep Reinhardt's melee the Hammer Swing, but change his primary into Fire Strike. You probably won't have to add any other abilities (You would probably have to lower the cooldown to 1 second and lower the power of Fire Strike; this may be self-explanatory, but give Fire Strike the Burning status effect too.) Keep Brigitte's melee the Rocket Flail, but change her primary into Whip Shot. (Again, you would probably have to lower the cooldown to 1-2 seconds and lower the power of Whip Shot. Idk if you would want to keep the knockback as is, lessen it, or remove it altogether.)
For Orisa you could give her the exact same as Mauga, but with allies. Going with the horse identity, basically making your allies horsemen. (Maybe nerf the heal of the ally a bit)
What if medieval mode from tf2 but overwatch? Genji always has their sword out (less damage), junker queens primary is now carnage (less damage, faster animation?), zenyatta is a kung fu master, Torbjörn has a slightly stronger hammer, etc. Most of these bonuses would also exist to the heroes who have boring normal melee and nothing else. Some heroes might have ranged primaries if it’s on theme enough. Hanzo would be pretty much unchanged I think, orisa would have a faster CD spear throw with either less or no CC. Don’t ask me about balance I stopped playing over a year ago so I know nothing about it.

What if medieval mode from tf2 but overwatch?
Genji always has their sword out (less damage), junker queens primary is now carnage (less damage, faster animation?), zenyatta is a kung fu master, Torbjörn has a slightly stronger hammer, etc. Most of these bonuses would also exist to the heroes who have boring normal melee and nothing else.
Some heroes might have ranged primaries if it’s on theme enough. Hanzo would be pretty much unchanged I think, orisa would have a faster CD spear throw with either less or no CC.
Don’t ask me about balance I stopped playing over a year ago so I know nothing about it.
Would be awesome if you had a custom hero contest and hvethe winner done in the forge.
After seeing that Thor hammer I can't belive how good you can make custom heroes.
For widowmaker add a slow effect and the enemy has to hold interact to remove the slow poison (similar to the gu mine from R6Siege)

When you said that kirikos mele took away half health my first thought was “so tanks are screwed if kiriko is on the enemy team”
For roadhogs melee, instead of putting hook on cooldown, make it launch tethered opponents
Wrecking ball should attach his grapple to the enemy and when he activates it he instantly max speed rolls to the enemy
Make it so if tracer blinks throung an Allie/enemy then they restore damage taken/healing done (in like 2 sec or something)

bro kiri frenzy plus echo beam is op kiri pops frenzy goes in punches someone then echo beams them witch has an effect where it does like triple damage to enemys at half health
Reverse Ramattra’a forms. Nemesis is now the default and the Mobile form gets a bunch of buffs to make it worth using
Make it so that when u resurrect someone as mercy, that u control them for 15 secs and then return back to your own body and the ally is able to control themselves again. Mercy is immune to damage while she is controlling someone.
