I truly sit in a gaming chair for a week to make this lol.
I BUFFED every hero in Overwatch 2 just because I wanted to. I typically themes these around something BUT I have been running into issues where I can't fit the theme for every hero. So a simple buff worked out.
With that being said, I couldn't think of a good one for every hero so if you want to help with the next video: comment an Unnecessary Nerf for every hero.

for mercy: whenever she rezes she'll die in their place to bring them back
Pharah: She'll take damage when ever she touches the ground
Moira: takes damage everytime she heals/takes damage whenever not dealing dmg
@OracleFromHel I don't want to do something with fall damage on pharah cause ive done it quite a bit, the mercy one good although might try something else. And i think i have a slightly better one for moira now from someone else
Moira nerf: If she's done more damage than healing this life, it's halved until she either dies or does more healing than damage

Mei’s unnecessary nerf should be a 1 in 6 chance of living when she uses Cryo Freeze, otherwise she will die. To represent her 5 friends from Ecopoint Antarctica.

Give Mauga a 1 in 10 chance to have a heart attack and die instantly if he uses cardiac overdrive as a nerf.
He would have to have 2 heart attacks
Reaper constantly drains his health, because he is canonically deteriorating and rejuvinating at rapid pace, so constantly leaking health makes sense
Nerf for Sigma: He can't move while his shield is active (because his mind just starts to wonder).
Nerf for Junker Queen: Commanding Shout breaks your allies eardrums, damaging them and stunning them.
Nerf for Ashe: Bob heal enemies instead of damaging them because the last time he was repaired something went wrong.
All 3 are really good
@@KendelR As a brig main, make it so if she kills someone ,Athena gets disabled and the in game music is disabled and everyone looks at you. and you die from social anxiety. and after you die it goes back to normal. This change is meant to show my anxiety when playing as support
So basically brig has crippling Anxiety just like me

Junker Queen's magnetism powers which are underrepresented in game are represented properly by enemies getting slight autoaim on her
I like this one but I don't want to mess with the enemies auto-aim so I might do another one I already have
Ana's Nerf should be partial blindness since she has one eye
I like to imagine half the screen is just black, and that makes me happy as a tank player

Sigma: random noises and people pop up (schizophrenia)
Illari: Using her ultimate emits a gigantic blast of sun that can easily kill teammates (lore)
Mercy: Rezing people makes them gengi
Venture: takes super long to drill down and can not blast upwards (who can really dig that fast!?)
Cassidy: his extensive smoking causes damage over time to him
Tracer: recalling makes you go 30 seconds back in time instead of 5
Baptiste: Takes damage for hitting his head on a roof
Lifeweaver: teammates can kill him after pulling
Lucio: Can barely hear (That's how you get tennitus!)
Echo: gains normal ultimate charge when duplicated
Junkrat: damaged by own explosives again and has 200 hp cause of radiation
Hog: He has to take a breather constantly to prevent taking damage (he's addicted)
Sombra: It takes a long time to hack, and the virus only gives you thier IP
Ramattra: can kill humans on his own team/ cannot hurt omnics
Bastion: Cannot go into turret cause he is a pacifist
Rein: Charging into a wall gives you a concussion (stuns slows and hurts)
Kiriko: Suzu now just knocks people back a lot

Nerf for Mauga: Cardiac Overdrive has shorter cooldown, but using it charges a bar called cardiac arrest. Filling it up kills you.
Nerf for Sojourn: being hacked makes your legs go crazy (effects you with a throttle that forces you to move forward.) Taking damage has a 20% chance to hack you.

Nerf for soldier 76: when running, every about 5 seconds i guess he has a 1/10 chance to trip.
Nerf for mercy: using her primary fire for too long makes her weapon overheat, disabling her abilities and weapons, and applying burn to her
Nerf for tracer: on blink, randomly change the server speed for 10 seconds and randomize everyone's location
Nerf for kiriko: if kiriko does not get a kill during her ult, her fox spirit refuses to come out so she cant use any abilities until death.
Nerf for doomfist: when doomfist hits an enemy with an ability, a seeking projectile is created that follows doomfist.
Nerf for torbjorn: he constantly burns when using overload and his ultamite
Nerf for symmetra: if her health is an odd number for 5 seconds, she gets triggered and dies, she also dies if she doesnt move for 5 seconds
Nerf for zenyatta: he is too passive, he is constantly being healed overtime but does no damage, only knockback.
Nerf for ana: on healing, chance for side effects to happen (maybe a stun, hack, burn, freeze, or just slower speed for a little bit)
Nerf for cassidy: he's had a bad day today, somrtimes his finger may slip causing him to fire his secondary randomly and change his camera position sometimes.
Nerf for lucio: sometimes spontaneously emote (if on wall cancel primary action when this happens)
Nerf for winston: he cant bring himself to fight members of overwatch
Cardiac arrest should only half his max HP because one of two hearts failed
Theres a lot of good ones. Might need to crop some of the image to display them one at a time

Nerf for winston (which probably impossible to do in the workshop): When ulting you cant see a difference between your teammates
Nerf for Sojiourn: The rail gun can overheat if charged too much and does a bit of damage to you or gives you ashe burn
(Semi?) Nerf for Lucio: beat gives everyone in los tinitus making them unable to hear anything for a few seconds
Nerf for Orisa: When you use javelin throw you cant ult or javelin spin until you pick your thrown javelin up or wait like 10 seconds
I like Winston, Sojourn, and Orisas. Lucios I dont think is possible and Winstons is possible if they fixed the outline glitch
For the unnecessary nerfs video maybe make Ball take several times more headshot damage since he’s a hamster which shouldn’t be able to tank any headshots
It’d be even better if I could detect the hamster head so if you shoot the hamster and the hamsters head, then it’s 4x

Nerf ideas
Ana: half her view is blocked (she only has one eye
Sombra: while invisible she randomly does a voice line
Solider: he forgot his meds and can randomly receive a heart attack
Any character under 5,4: reinhardt primary attack instantly kills them
Lucio: when you use ult, youll be put in jail for a noise violation
Also with Ana should give her no depth perception because of one eye
I love how much fun you clearly had with all of these concepts! Gotta love homing projectiles just not doing what you expect most of the time though lmao (Bap’s change in particular)

I hope you see this cause I really enjoyed ur video! As a widow main something I think would be cool, like what you did would to be w the grapple kick, where u can grapple onto someone and kick them or give her a double jump like hanzo and lifeweaver. Another would be her venom mine crawling around in a certain meter radius like a spider
a nerf for elderly characters should be that they walk slower the longer they go without dying.

Since lucio has no legs (prosthetics) when he gets below half health he should just flop on the ground. Permanently.
Reaper cannot walk near Vents or air cleaners or plane turbines or he gets sucked into them and dies

3:14 You have to use `start scaling barrier` again on brigitte's ult
I have a question for Genji's change: How is it coded? Is it coded like "if you get a kill while deflect is up, you get deflect back" (this would mean if you shoot (LMB) and deflect while your projectile is still in the air and get a kill with the projectile, it gives you back the deflect) or is it "if you get a kill with deflect in the killfeed, you get it back" (this would mean, killing someone with echo's sticky bombs wouldn't give you deflect back, because the bombs show as bombs in the killfeed and count as secondary fire for workshop)?
Nerf for Junker Queen: When you pull back the knife, you take recoil damage, the damage is multiplied by how far you threw it if that's possible.
Nerf: junkrat can take self damage with his bombs
Orisa nerf: when receiving damage you also receive knockback
nerf for junkrat: someone has sabotaged his bombs making him take damage from his own bombs/concussion mine
Two ideas for Brig nerfs. Whipshot launches her backwards. Or the explosive shield from the junkrat voiceline. Does a bunch of self damage and has concussion mine knockback for both players.
A bit late, but a nerf for echo would be that she's not ready to learn, so her duplicate is literally a worse version of the hero she's duplicating. Duplicate lasts for 10 sec, and the ult multiplier is 3x instead of like the 5.5x it is now.
Finally for echo, after duplicate, she says "Good to be back", and explodes.
The balance team thought you 5% junkrat damage buff idea was so good they added it lmfao
Lifeweaver's bubble weaves you and your teammate together, and they're stuck to you in that bubble for a few seconds like a mario game
Nerf for Sombra: She gets delirious every time she uses her translocator ( Comes from Sombra Tracer voiceline “Ugh I get a little sick after using my translocator, I’m sure you know what I mean, Tracer”)
I like the idea but ive done a dizzy idea before sadly with Cassidy roll
Mercy change: if mercy gets shot while using guardian angel or floating passive, her wings will break and she will fall to the ground and can't use guardian angel anymore until death
The lore: literally how wings work but maybe healing can fix the status
I love the idea of mounting bastion, having a little gremlin symbiote character jumping from teammate to teammate in the game, maybe a healer, would be so fun I think xD

Nerf for Roadhog: Take a Breather increases damage taken, slows you, and makes you unable to heal while active (because it's literally a radioactive vape). Applies the same effect to allies within a certain radius.
Anna’s vision occasionally becomes blurry when being shot by a pistol as part of her trauma
New passive for hanzo and genji, childhood trauma. If the other brother is in your line of sight, you can't shoot and are slowed

Tracer: Talking damage can make her blink randomly due to instability in her chest thing or she can get stuck if she blinks inside something/someone
Winston or omnics: Can run out of battery
Sombra: While invisible, will spam voice lines and have a loud footstep
Echo: Copies the oponent's movement while using her ult
Mauga: can have a heart attack, or two, after using his cardiac overdrive
Nerf for junkrat: everytime he boosts himself with the mines he has a chance of breaking his false leg and getting stunned for a while
for the Nerf to zen I think you could make it that he will never fall so if he jumps he will never touch the ground again
I made something similar YEARS ago when the workshop was only on the testing branch, my goal was to make everyone so OP that it's fair again.
For example Reinhardt's ult had infinite range (with LOS check) and longer knockdown.
My favourite thing was McCree's flashbang had a LOT more range and power but because it was so powerful it knocked down the McCree that threw it (same effect as Reinhardts ult) and it just looks so funny XD
Nerf for bastion: PTSD
While in turret form ghosts of his past haunt him, he sees enemies everywhere regardless of their actual location.
I loved the bap upgrade, you saved your team mate and killed the enemy with just one move, its excellent

zenyatta should have to plug into a wall to recharge, lucio’s heal song just does dmg to him and his team and his speed slows you, if you miss with hanzo the arrow ricochets back to you
If Tracer is low HP, her rewind takes her back further than expected. Like when her device gets destroyed in the Doomfist animation
I love that Junk's unnecessary buff was just giving him his one shot back. I recently direct hit a Pharah in the air twice and they, of course, didn't die. A little part of me died that moment.
new junkrat passive: you do 5% more damage to pharah/echo/mercy if you have done a mine jump to them
Nerf for Sombra: once you go invisible, you will let off constant fart noises, to be more easily detected and to simulate how the person playing it sounds like
I feel like the lifeweaver change could actually be healthy for the game. but like slightly different. instead of choosing to go back, what if they had a quick time event to press a button to reject the life weaver grip. so you would have to click it fast to escape the bad grip but if you did reject it life weaver would get it back on a halved cooldown, if you did no cooldown when grip is denied then people would be able to use the grip as a bubble and have it cancelled for free
Reinhardt nerf: when Reinhardt kills Junkrat, Junkrat becomes really big and teleports to the air and dies making his death bombs nuke the entire map
If it works I might make it just not for this video XD
maybe for ram, buff based on number of allied omnics, most characters arent omnic. for both jq and ram, you could adjust the shout/nem cd based on number of omnic players
For genji, and damage in general you can use the event ability = deflect on a dealt damage condition then set cool down= number - event damage (I think that should work?)

For Ana: You need to press interact to change your ammo type from healing to damage, otherwise you will damage you allies or heal your enemy's.

Nerf for Genji: He short circuits (stuns) after using a ability while the other one is on cooldown
Fun idea. I might remember the idea of disabling one ability after using one for another hero if I dont get a good change for them. I sadly already know what I'm doing for Genji

If Hammond goes to fast he dies from a heart attack, if he gets headshot he should also get insta killed. No Hamster can survive multiple G forces or a bullet.
wrecking ball nerf: Hammond after rolling for 15 seconds consecutively has to get out of his ball and vomit due to motion sickness.
A lore Ana nerf would be change her ammo type like she does in the comic to heal or damage, maybe each reload change your ammo, so if you aren't careful you can damage your team or heal your enemy.
Hanzo: has to pick up arrows he shot to regain ammo
Nerf for wreckingball : he gets dizzy if spends to much time rolling around in ball form, (could be a brief stun)
Nerf for tracer : shooting her chronal accelerator disables her abilities or does critical damage
I sadly think I've done both of those (but for other heroes). I really like the Wrecking Ball one and might still do it if the other change that have written down doesnt work
Hogs heal pot does DOT because hes had it to much, and the chemicals are starting to have a adverse effect on him. Junkrat is pretty simple, you and your team take damage from mines at your feet now. You can give moira a "ugly effect" where if you are on her team and look at her for to long (3-5 seconds) you get antied, and if the enemy team looks at you for 10 ish seconds they get a dam boost/nano
I actually am going to be doing the Roadhog change and Junkrat change (as long as its possible) already. The moira one is a tad awkward to do since there isnt built in anti in the workshop
This reminds me of the days of experimental in overwatch 1, my favorite at that time was when lucio uses his ult and if you land on someone head it Insta kill them no matter who.

Anna shoots needles so when you get hit by an Ana you take damage before you heal, but she also always has healing juice in the darts so shooting an enemy heals them

Wrecking ball unnecessary nerf: make him slow like a turtle when on ball mode but it receives less damage
Ana's nerf can be that she has an actual blindspot where shes missing her eye. Or targets on her missing eyes side are blurry/unrecognizable

The bastion/pharah AC-130 is outrageous
Unnecessary Nerf ideas:
- Echo does less damage against characters she canonically has not met (I. E. Anyone other than Overwatch).
- Whenever Moira uses her secondary fire, she takes a little bit of damage, as this uses some more of her lifeforce.
- Whenever Phara shoots her gun while in the air, she gets knocked backwards a little because of momentum.
- Sigma’s ultimate now affects all characters, including allies and himself. No one escapes gravity.
- Whenever Mercy uses her secondary fire and damage boosts someone, that ally also takes increased damage. This is the law of equivalent exchange.
- Whenever Hammond is headshot, he takes double the normal damage. He is a hamster, not regular person like everyone else.
- If any ally shoots B. O. B., he will get fed up with the abuse and immediately leave. (Possibly give kill credit to the ally that shot him if possible)
- Junkrat takes damage from all of his bombs. He doesn’t have Pyromaniac from TBOI.
- While bubbled by Zarya, you cannot use abilities.
- Nanoboost will now give the ally a heart attack and kill them when it wears off. It’s do and or die.
how do you get more than 1 icon on enemies at a time 😭

A good nerf for Junker Queen could be taking damage or getting stunned/hacked when pulling your knife, since it is kinda bs that she can always catch it handle first

Nerf idea for orisa: while fortified, orisa can't move because she's anchored to the ground.
Wrecking ball: His grapple randomly disconnects (sometimes)
for that lifeweaver idea, what about him being able to trigger it instead? kinda makes sense, looking at it the "oops, i accidentaly messed it up" way you explained it
ooohhhh nooo, poor Genji is gonna die in the Unnessesary Nerfs video. gonna have a heart attack after a dash, maybe have a chance to cut himself with his sword, or he has to reload his shuriken one at a time like ashe, or his deflect has a 50% chance of deflecting for each projectile it'd normally 100% deflect
Junkrat: Simple, all of his abilities work on him, tire kills him, concussion mines hurt and primary fire damages him!
For the next video you could nerf bastion so that when a rein attacks him he recieves 1000x more damage, this idea comes from reinhardt’s cinematic where he one shot like 50 bastions and also rein gets war flashbacks when he sees a bastion

Nerf to zeniata: He forgot how to float
Nerf for orisa : her fortify makes her immovable, as in she cant move
i think an idea for tracer would be whenever blinks it randomizes her location
Kiriko would be fun if she could teleport onto enemies as well
Using hook as roadhog makes him trip and fall on the ground
Road Hog- Each time he uses the ability his max HP decreases (his life expectancy goes down). Resets on respawn.
Reaper- Cooldowns reduced but sometimes they just go off automatically (since moiras experiments aren’t perfect)
That was the one I was thinking for Roadhog so glad I found someone who said it
