I really didn't get to see The Tonight Show with Johnny Carson a lot as a little kid in the 70''s because we had a certain bedtime on a school night. I'm actually experiencing his shows more as an adult, watching him on RUclips. I remember Ed McMahon as The host of Star Search in the 80's and the American Sweepstakes commercials.

If you enjoy Don's style you should watch Foster Brooks roast him, it's comedy gold. Probably the hardest I've laughed and it was a clean act. All class and smarts from these old clips.
