Why did they cut this out?! Not only does this show the conflict in Negan, but the shot of him laying on the bed bookends the shot of him in the infirmary at the end. Negan truly believes killing one person can save many. He most definitely let leadership go to his head(so has Rick btw) but he believes this is more of a have to then want to, obligation wise.

@@ZombieBiohazard There’s lots of weird biblical parallels, like the way he almost makes Rick chop off Carls arm and stopping him at the last moment, very reminiscent of Yahwey from the Bible almost making Abraham sacrifice his son and stopping him at the last moment. I always thought that the way Negan acted is very similar to the God of the Bible; a very jealous and violent character who demands 100% loyalty and blind worship, and has a strict set of rules, and will mercilessly punish those who violate it.

With this large host of Saviors remaining after the hundreds of casualties at the outposts, the attacks on Alexandria, Kingdom and Hilltop, you sort of wonder how many saviors there were to begin with like were there 300 or more? And if they were that many how come they didn't win all out war? I think Gimple should have put some more thought into this, at least made both sides even so that there would have been more meaning to life and death and not just people dropping like flies?
They lost around 15 guys when they encountered their scouts on the road in season 6, then Rick attacked the satellite Outpost which for the sake of argument had about 30-50 guys. Fast forward to the start of the war and Rick too out most of negan s crew that bright Sasha back to Alexandria (40 dead savior's) The way starts and negans scouts are all taken out thanks to dwights notes (10 guys). Then Rick and co attacked all three of their outposts. (50 guys each x 3 is 150 dead or captured) The Saviors to further casualties when daryl breached the sanctuary with the garbage truck and everyone was forced if there ground floor (another 30). Clearing out the horde cost the Saviors all their saved ammo and they had to rely on the batches Eugene made. Plus negan had to purge Simon, is #2, along with his personal division of troops since they sight to usurp negan. Oh and Simon lost another 20-30 guys attacking the hilltop with the poisoned weaponry. So by the time the final confrontation takes place began winds up having to deploy and arm all his remaining soldiers, 80 or so troops, so that he can even up with Rick and his army. They fire and almost all of those savior's get killed or wounded by blowback. So that's how Rick won.
The number was i think about 600 maybe a little over then subtract and acount for how many are workers along with Negan's wife's and captives. A large amount were killed both before and during the war then add on the one's killed after in the years that followed and i think you can acount for most of them.
