- Hello everyone! My name is Barbie. I have been living in the Philippines since August 2022 in Siargao Island. I choose to live in the Philippines because of the people here and the quality of life. I truly feel that I have adapted to Filipino culture because it is just what feels so right to me. It feels so natural for me to be here and for me to do the things that I do here. I can never imagine going back to living in the United States. That kind of lifestyle is just not for me.
Welcome to my island life where I embrace the Filipino culture and the simple living on the Isla! Today’s episode I am cooking some Kinilaw, making my first halo halo to sell at Barbie’s ice cream store location, hanging out with the locals, and selling ice cream at the bridge!

I just recently discovered your page. I’m Filipino that left the Philippines when I was 9. 31 years later, I finally had the opportunity to visit back. Thank you for coming to the Philippines and being humble, respectful, giving back to the people and overall being such a great person. My only trip back to the Philippines early this year, stuck in traffic, a foreigner in a car in front of us got out of the car and started dancing and looking cocky like he owned the country maybe because he has money. That was my first impression of people coming to the Philippines and looking down on the friendly people and walking around like they’re better than everyone. I have full respect for you for learning the languages and fully understanding the people, which what makes the Philippines so great, all the great and friendly people in it. Looks like you treat everyone with respect and make everyone smile which is the kind of people the world needs. Thank you again and you just gained a subscriber.

DarLing Barbie my love....im your future husband...try to cook a banana called "saba" remove the skin.. slice it put in a pot boiled in a water and sugar.. if it's a bit caramelized then it's cook . cold it and add to your Halo halo..

correction for the language/dialect the locals in Siargao do not speak Bisaya it is Surigaonon our native language...Bisaya is just like a common language to communicate with other Filipinos in the southern part of the Philippines likewise tagalog/Filipino for visitors coming from the north and central of the Philippines...
