- In this vlog I spend a second day at Europa Park enjoying the various different rides and attractions on offer during the parks 2018 Christmas event! In this vlog I share more on ride footage from some of my favourite rides at Europa Park including plenty of rides in the dark. I also share highlights from more of the Christmas entertainment at the park including a spectacular fountain and firework show with Ed & Edda Euromouse on the lake in Adventureland.
In this vlog I also continue to explore the fantastic Christmas decorations throughout the park including a walk through the wonderful festival of lights in the grounds of Balthasar Castle and much more.

We should be really happy about the Mack Family owning Europa Park. I love that they treat it as a family company that is not really intended to earn them money. With profit for profit's sake out of the way you can ensure that there's always plenty of staff, actors, etc., fair food and drink prices. You can feel at every corner that this park is meant to bring pure pleasure to the guest.
To be fair they don't run it at a loss and it also helps them to sell their rides. This park is like the world's biggest showroom for Mack.
It really is fantastic!

Enjoyed both parts. Beautiful shots. Got a good laugh from your reaction to the quality of operations. That's when your eyes really start to twinkle. You have an insider's perspective, that can, at times, be hilarious. Still, a little sad you had to ride 'Bench' all by your lonesome. And nobody to make the gym-ball joke with. But, you still seem to love it, so I'll just be sad for the both of us. Ride on!

Europa is definitely my kind of park. Not a huge fan of flat rides and this park doesn't seem to bother much with them. Coasters n dark rides for the win. And the water rides too of course.

I'm happy you liked the VR part!
I think other parks should take an example from Europa Park regarding this: don't just stick VR randomly, but instead create an experience *around* the VR.
Disney has already got that planned out with the star wars and Wreck it Ralph experiences.
I am 100% sure that in the future (when the tech will be refined), we'll see this kind of stuff much more often (for example the new Mario Kart attraction at the future Nintendo Land in Universal Japan, later Orlando).
It was fantastic, very impressed with the VR and the way it was operated

The 6 days I‘ve been there (doing the hotel hopping), Matterhornblitz was the only rollercoaster that never got boring 😁
23:49 They usually only run 3 trains out of 5 (sometimes 2 when the park is quiet). But since they don't waste any time in the station there is usually one train every 5 minutes (except when they run only 2 trains). By the way, the green and red train were destroyed during the fire, so the park borrowed one of Heide Park's trains.

Oh yes, I had a wonderful time!
I think usually only two trains are running. So you were very lucky :) And I think two of the four trains were destroyed by the fire, because they were in the maintenance hall, which was also destroyed.

Hey Shawn great video again mate, just a quick one do you use a chest mount for your gopro or a wrist mount oh yeah merry Xmas
I use a chest mounted GoPro
Voletarium has such a grand building and beautiful theming - it's a shame they didn't go for a trackless dark ride in there.

Nice vlog (as always) from this amazing theme park. I was wondering about the VR experience Valerian Coastiality, how does it work if you wear glasses? Do the VR goggles go over your glasses?
The Gear VR or whatever newer model they use works fine with glasses even of larger dimensions.
They work fine with glasses which is great

Are all the coasters open in December?
They are if the weather is warm enough!
First Eurosat Coastiality was 3 euros but they had more than 2 - 3 hours que line ... it was a big problem so now it's 6 euros and we have not more than 1 hour / 30 minutes

could you please give details of how you get to europa park from the uk cant find any operator that goes thanks
You will prob have to travel independently. Fly to Basel and then hire a car or take flixbus from airport to Rust for instance. Also Europa Park have some info on their travel page www.europapark.de/en/info/your-visit/getting-here
