Good insight as always. Any chance you can review the AE500? I’d be interested to hear how they compare to these and the others from AE you’ve reviewed. Thanks.
I had these for a short while. Considering the price they are able to kick out some seriously impressive sound with much more bass than you would expect.
Great overview of these amazing speakers. I have a pair in white, and use them with a Naim NSC 222 pre amp dac music streamer, through the XLR connections , with excellent results. Well worth the money.
@analogholic_reviews Hi Rohit. Great Review. The AE 1 actives are wonderful speakers. If You were impressed with the bass on the AE 1 then try an listen to the Edifier S3000 pro or S3000 MKii. The Edifier can produce a really tight deep bass of around 35 Hz in room and are splendid as far as expansive soundstage, imaging, espressive mids and treble extension are concerned. What could have been better was the tonality. The Dynamic DSP setting is especially impressive. The Edifiers are written off by Many cause they aren't really considered "audiophile" , but at 1/3 of the cost of the AE 1, the are unbelievable VFM.
Thanks 🙏 for sharing. Yes, at 1/3 the price you cannot expect full active analog crossovers and toroidal transformers in the built in amplifiers. DSPs are good for bass extension tho and cost effective, and like you mention, the trade off could be in tonality. Nonetheless, will check out the Edifiers!
Surely 'similar price' is inappropriate here - the power amps are built in and you need to consider their performance against speaker and power amp combinations.

Hello! How to directly connect them to a modern TV or notebook without additional devices?
How would you compare these with the 109 mkii?
Hi, thanks for this review. Will they preform well with tv dialogue and movies?
Yes… vocals / spoken words were transparent.
@@analogholic_reviews how are they vs ae500? I'm debating between them also because of the easy connection via hdmi- tv to av amp
@@upitshak I have not heard the AE500 as yet. I hope to in the near future.
The album rejoice from allen/masekela is very good, thank you for the hint.
Also, check out Hope by Hugh Maskela.

The edifiers are 1/3rd the cost of the AE1 and also about 1/3rd of the sound quality

You have a point
Hello! Do these speakers have any hissing sound/noise like Canton speakers on this youtube video? ruclips.net/video/Ifh9AndwIew/видео.html
